Noè e i suoi figli

1 Dio benedisse Noè e i suoi figli, e disse loro: «Crescete, moltiplicatevi e riempite la terra. 2 Avranno timore e spavento di voi tutti gli animali della terra e tutti gli uccelli del cielo. Essi sono dati in vostro potere con tutto ciò che striscia sulla terra e con tutti i pesci del mare. 3 Tutto ciò che si muove e ha vita vi servirà di cibo; io vi do tutto questo, come l’erba verde; 4 ma non mangerete carne con la sua vita, cioè con il suo sangue. 5 Certo, io chiederò conto del vostro sangue, del sangue delle vostre vite; ne chiederò conto a ogni animale; chiederò conto della vita dell’uomo alla mano dell’uomo, alla mano di ogni suo fratello. 6 Il sangue di chiunque spargerà il sangue dell’uomo sarà sparso dall’uomo, perché Dio ha fatto l’uomo a sua immagine. 7 Voi dunque crescete e moltiplicatevi; spandetevi sulla terra e moltiplicatevi in essa». 8 Poi Dio parlò a Noè e ai suoi figli con lui dicendo: 9 «Quanto a me, ecco, stabilisco il mio patto con voi, con i vostri discendenti dopo di voi 10 e con ogni essere vivente che è con voi: uccelli, bestiame e tutti gli animali della terra con voi; da tutti quelli che sono usciti dall’arca a tutti gli animali della terra. 11 Io stabilisco il mio patto con voi; nessun essere vivente sarà più sterminato dalle acque del diluvio e non ci sarà più diluvio per distruggere la terra». 12 Dio disse: «Ecco il segno del patto che io faccio tra me e voi e ogni essere vivente che è con voi, per tutte le generazioni future. 13 Io pongo il mio arco nella nuvola e servirà di segno del patto fra me e la terra. 14 Avverrà che quando avrò raccolto delle nuvole al di sopra della terra, l’arco apparirà nelle nuvole; 15 io mi ricorderò del mio patto fra me e voi e ogni essere vivente di ogni specie, e le acque non diventeranno più un diluvio per distruggere ogni essere vivente. 16 L’arco dunque sarà nelle nuvole e io lo guarderò per ricordarmi del patto perpetuo fra Dio e ogni essere vivente, di qualunque specie che è sulla terra». 17 Dio disse a Noè: «Questo è il segno del patto che io ho stabilito fra me e ogni essere vivente che è sulla terra». 18 I figli di Noè che uscirono dall’arca erano Sem, Cam e Iafet; e Cam è il padre di Canaan. 19 Questi sono i tre figli di Noè; da loro fu popolata tutta la terra. 20 Noè, che era agricoltore, cominciò a piantare la vigna 21 e bevve del vino; s’inebriò e si denudò in mezzo alla sua tenda. 22 Cam, padre di Canaan, vide la nudità di suo padre e andò a dirlo, fuori, ai suoi fratelli. 23 Ma Sem e Iafet presero il suo mantello, se lo misero insieme sulle spalle e, camminando all’indietro, coprirono la nudità del loro padre. Siccome avevano il viso rivolto dalla parte opposta, non videro la nudità del loro padre. 24 Quando Noè si svegliò dalla sua ebbrezza, seppe quello che gli aveva fatto il figlio minore e disse: 25 «Maledetto Canaan! Sia servo dei servi dei suoi fratelli!» 26 Disse ancora: «Benedetto sia il Signore, Dio di Sem; e sia Canaan suo servo! 27 Dio estenda Iafet! e abiti nelle tende di Sem e sia Canaan suo servo!» 28 Noè visse, dopo il diluvio, trecentocinquant’anni. 29 L’intera vita di Noè fu di novecentocinquant’anni; poi morì.

Gottes Bund mit Noah

1 Und Gott segnete Noah und seine Söhne und sprach: Seid fruchtbar und mehret euch und füllet die Erde. (Gen 1,28) 2 Furcht und Schrecken vor euch sei über allen Tieren auf Erden und über allen Vögeln unter dem Himmel, über allem, was auf dem Erdboden wimmelt, und über allen Fischen im Meer; in eure Hände seien sie gegeben. 3 Alles, was sich regt und lebt, das sei eure Speise; wie das grüne Kraut habe ich’s euch alles gegeben. (Gen 1,29; Col 2,16) 4 Allein das Fleisch mit seinem Leben, seinem Blut, esst nicht! (Le 3,17; Le 17,10; De 12,23) 5 Euer eigenes Blut jedoch will ich einfordern. Von jedem Tier will ich es einfordern. Und das Leben des Menschen will ich einfordern von einem jeden anderen Menschen. (Eso 21,28) 6 Wer Menschenblut vergießt, dessen Blut soll um des Menschen willen vergossen werden; denn Gott hat den Menschen zu seinem Bilde gemacht. 7 Seid fruchtbar und mehret euch und reget euch auf Erden, dass euer viel darauf werden. 8 Und Gott sagte zu Noah und seinen Söhnen mit ihm: 9 Siehe, ich richte mit euch einen Bund auf und mit euren Nachkommen (Gen 6,18) 10 und mit allem lebendigen Getier bei euch, an Vögeln, an Vieh und an allen Tieren auf Erden bei euch, von allem, was aus der Arche gegangen ist, was für Tiere es sind auf Erden. (Os 2,20) 11 Und ich richte meinen Bund so mit euch auf, dass hinfort nicht mehr alles Fleisch ausgerottet werden soll durch die Wasser der Sintflut und hinfort keine Sintflut mehr kommen soll, die die Erde verderbe. 12 Und Gott sprach: Das ist das Zeichen des Bundes, den ich geschlossen habe zwischen mir und euch und allem lebendigen Getier bei euch auf ewig: 13 Meinen Bogen habe ich gesetzt in die Wolken; der soll das Zeichen sein des Bundes zwischen mir und der Erde. (Zac 9,10) 14 Und wenn es kommt, dass ich Wetterwolken über die Erde führe, so soll man meinen Bogen sehen in den Wolken. 15 Alsdann will ich gedenken an meinen Bund zwischen mir und euch und allem lebendigen Getier unter allem Fleisch, dass hinfort keine Sintflut mehr komme, die alles Fleisch verderbe. (Is 54,7) 16 Darum soll mein Bogen in den Wolken sein, dass ich ihn ansehe und gedenke an den ewigen Bund zwischen Gott und allem lebendigen Getier unter allem Fleisch, das auf Erden ist. 17 Und Gott sagte zu Noah: Das sei das Zeichen des Bundes, den ich aufgerichtet habe zwischen mir und allem Fleisch auf Erden.

Noahs Fluch und Segen über seine Söhne

18 Die Söhne Noahs, die aus der Arche gingen, sind diese: Sem, Ham und Jafet. Ham aber ist der Vater Kanaans. (Gen 5,32) 19 Das sind die drei Söhne Noahs; von ihnen kommen her alle Menschen auf Erden. 20 Noah aber, der Ackermann, pflanzte als Erster einen Weinberg. 21 Und da er von dem Wein trank, ward er trunken und lag im Zelt aufgedeckt. 22 Als nun Ham, Kanaans Vater, seines Vaters Blöße sah, sagte er’s seinen beiden Brüdern draußen. (Eso 20,12; Prov 30,17) 23 Da nahmen Sem und Jafet ein Kleid und legten es auf ihrer beider Schultern und gingen rückwärts hinzu und deckten ihres Vaters Blöße zu; und ihr Angesicht war abgewandt, damit sie ihres Vaters Blöße nicht sähen. 24 Als nun Noah erwachte von seinem Rausch und erfuhr, was ihm sein jüngster Sohn angetan hatte, 25 sprach er: Verflucht sei Kanaan und sei seinen Brüdern ein Knecht aller Knechte! 26 Und sprach weiter: Gelobt sei der HERR, der Gott Sems, und Kanaan sei sein Knecht! 27 Gott schaffe Jafet weiten Raum und lasse ihn wohnen in den Zelten Sems und Kanaan sei sein Knecht! 28 Noah aber lebte nach der Sintflut dreihundertfünfzig Jahre, 29 dass sein ganzes Alter ward neunhundertfünfzig Jahre, und starb.

1 And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth. 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered. 3 Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things. 4 But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat. 5 And surely your blood of your lives will I require; at the hand of every beast will I require it, and at the hand of man; at the hand of every man' brother will I require the life of man. 6 Whoso sheddeth man' blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man. 7 And you, be ye fruitful, and multiply; bring forth abundantly in the earth, and multiply therein. 8 And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, 9 And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; 10 And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. 11 And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. 12 And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: 13 I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. 14 And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: 15 And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. 16 And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. 17 And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have established between me and all flesh that is upon the earth. 18 And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. 19 These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread. 20 And Noah began to be an husbandman, and he planted a vineyard: 21 And he drank of the wine, and was drunken; and he was uncovered within his tent. 22 And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without. 23 And Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it upon both their shoulders, and went backward, and covered the nakedness of their father; and their faces were backward, and they saw not their father' nakedness. 24 And Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his younger son had done unto him. 25 And he said, Cursed be Canaan; a servant of servants shall he be unto his brethren. 26 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. 27 God shall enlarge Japheth, and he shall dwell in the tents of Shem; and Canaan shall be his servant. 28 And Noah lived after the flood three hundred and fifty years. 29 And all the days of Noah were nine hundred and fifty years: and he died.

El pacto de Dios con Noé

1 Dios bendijo a Noé y a sus hijos con estas palabras: «Sean fecundos, multiplíquense y llenen la tierra. 2 Todos los animales de la tierra sentirán temor y respeto ante ustedes: las aves, las bestias salvajes, los animales que se arrastran por el suelo, y los peces del mar. Todos estarán bajo su dominio. 3 Todo lo que se mueve y tiene vida, al igual que las verduras, les servirá de alimento. Yo les doy todo esto. 4 Pero no deberán comer carne con su vida, es decir, con su sangre. 5 Por cierto, de la sangre de ustedes yo habré de pedirles cuentas. A todos los animales y a todos los seres humanos les pediré cuentas de la vida de sus semejantes. 6 »Si alguien derrama la sangre de un ser humano, otro ser humano derramará la suya, porque el ser humano ha sido creado a imagen de Dios mismo. 7 »En cuanto a ustedes, sean fecundos y multiplíquense; sí, multiplíquense y llenen la tierra.» 8 Dios les habló otra vez a Noé y a sus hijos, y les dijo: 9 «Yo establezco mi pacto con ustedes, con sus descendientes, 10 y con todos los seres vivientes que están con ustedes, es decir, con todos los seres vivientes de la tierra que salieron del arca: las aves, y los animales domésticos y salvajes. 11 Éste es mi pacto con ustedes: Nunca más serán exterminados los seres humanos por un diluvio; nunca más habrá un diluvio que destruya la tierra.» 12 Y Dios añadió: «Ésta es la señal del pacto que establezco para siempre con ustedes y con todos los seres vivientes que los acompañan: 13 He colocado mi arco iris en las nubes, el cual servirá como señal de mi pacto con la tierra. 14 Cuando yo cubra la tierra de nubes, y en ellas aparezca el arco iris, 15 me acordaré del pacto que he establecido con ustedes y con todos los seres vivientes. Nunca más las aguas se convertirán en un diluvio para destruir a todos los mortales. 16 Cada vez que aparezca el arco iris entre las nubes, yo lo veré y me acordaré del pacto que establecí para siempre con todos los seres vivientes que hay sobre la tierra.» 17 Dios concluyó diciéndole a Noé: «Éste es el pacto que establezco con todos los seres vivientes que hay en la tierra.»

Los hijos de Noé

18 Los hijos de Noé que salieron del arca fueron Sem, Cam, que fue el padre de Canaán, y Jafet. 19 Éstos fueron los tres hijos de Noé que con su descendencia poblaron toda la tierra. 20 Noé se dedicó a cultivar la tierra, y plantó una viña. 21 Un día, bebió vino y se embriagó, quedándose desnudo dentro de su carpa. 22 Cam, el padre de Canaán, vio a su padre desnudo y fue a contárselo a sus hermanos, que estaban afuera. 23 Entonces Sem y Jafet tomaron un manto, se lo echaron sobre los hombros, y caminando hacia atrás, cubrieron la desnudez de su padre. Como miraban en dirección opuesta, no lo vieron desnudo. 24 Cuando Noé despertó de su borrachera y se enteró de lo que su hijo menor le había hecho, 25 declaró: «¡Maldito sea Canaán! Será de sus dos hermanos el más bajo de sus esclavos.» 26 Y agregó: «¡Bendito sea el Señor, Dios de Sem! ¡Que Canaán sea su esclavo! 27 ¡Que Dios extienda el territorio de Jafet!^[1] ¡Que habite Jafet en los campamentos de Sem, y que Canaán sea su esclavo!» 28 Después del diluvio Noé vivió trescientos cincuenta años más, 29 de modo que murió a la edad de novecientos cincuenta años.
