Corruzione del genere umano

1 Quando gli uomini cominciarono a moltiplicarsi sulla faccia della terra e furono loro nate delle figlie, 2 avvenne che i figli di Dio videro che le figlie degli uomini erano belle e presero per mogli quelle che si scelsero fra tutte. 3 Il Signore disse: «Lo Spirito mio non contenderà per sempre con l’uomo poiché, nel suo traviamento, egli non è che carne; i suoi giorni dureranno quindi centoventi anni». 4 In quel tempo c’erano sulla terra i giganti, e ci furono anche in seguito, quando i figli di Dio si unirono alle figlie degli uomini, ed ebbero da loro dei figli. Questi sono gli uomini potenti che, fin dai tempi antichi, sono stati famosi. 5 Il Signore vide che la malvagità degli uomini era grande sulla terra e che il loro cuore concepiva soltanto disegni malvagi in ogni tempo. 6 Il Signore si pentì di aver fatto l’uomo sulla terra, e se ne addolorò in cuor suo. 7 E il Signore disse: «Io sterminerò dalla faccia della terra l’uomo che ho creato: dall’uomo al bestiame, ai rettili, agli uccelli dei cieli; perché mi pento di averli fatti». 8 Ma Noè trovò grazia agli occhi del Signore. 9 Questa è la posterità di Noè. Noè fu uomo giusto, integro, ai suoi tempi; Noè camminò con Dio. 10 Noè generò tre figli: Sem, Cam e Iafet.

Costruzione dell’arca

11 Or la terra era corrotta davanti a Dio; la terra era piena di violenza. 12 Dio guardò la terra; ed ecco, era corrotta, poiché tutti erano diventati corrotti sulla terra. 13 Allora Dio disse a Noè: «Nei miei decreti la fine di ogni essere vivente è giunta, poiché la terra, a causa degli uomini, è piena di violenza; ecco, io li distruggerò, insieme con la terra. 14 Fatti un’arca di legno di gofer; falla a stanze, e spalmala di pece di dentro e di fuori. 15 Ecco come la dovrai fare: la lunghezza dell’arca sarà di trecento cubiti, la larghezza di cinquanta cubiti e l’altezza di trenta cubiti. 16 Farai all’arca una finestra, in alto, e le darai la dimensione di un cubito; metterai la porta da un lato, e farai l’arca a tre piani: uno da basso, un secondo e un terzo piano. 17 Ecco, io sto per far venire il diluvio delle acque sulla terra, per distruggere sotto il cielo ogni essere in cui è alito di vita; tutto quello che è sulla terra perirà. 18 Ma io stabilirò il mio patto con te; tu entrerai nell’arca: tu e i tuoi figli, tua moglie e le mogli dei tuoi figli con te. 19 Di tutto ciò che vive, di ogni essere vivente, fanne entrare nell’arca due di ogni specie, per conservarli in vita con te; e siano maschio e femmina. 20 Degli uccelli secondo le loro specie, del bestiame secondo le sue specie e di tutti i rettili della terra secondo le loro specie, due di ogni specie verranno a te, perché tu li conservi in vita. 21 Tu prenditi ogni sorta di cibo che si mangia e fattene provvista, perché serva di nutrimento a te e a loro». 22 Noè fece così; fece tutto quello che Dio gli aveva comandato.

Gottessöhne und Menschentöchter

1 Als aber die Menschen sich zu mehren begannen auf Erden und ihnen Töchter geboren wurden, 2 da sahen die Gottessöhne, wie schön die Töchter der Menschen waren, und nahmen sich zu Frauen, welche sie wollten. (Giob 1,6; 2P 2,4; Giuda 1,6) 3 Da sprach der HERR: Mein Geist soll nicht immerdar im Menschen walten, denn er ist Fleisch. Ich will ihm als Lebenszeit geben hundertzwanzig Jahre. 4 Es waren Riesen zu den Zeiten und auch danach noch auf Erden. Denn als die Gottessöhne zu den Töchtern der Menschen eingingen und sie ihnen Kinder gebaren, wurden daraus die Riesen. Das sind die Helden der Vorzeit, die hochberühmten. (Ez 32,27)

Ankündigung der Sintflut

5 Als aber der HERR sah, dass der Menschen Bosheit groß war auf Erden und alles Dichten und Trachten ihres Herzens nur böse war immerdar, (Gen 8,21) 6 da reute es den HERRN, dass er die Menschen gemacht hatte auf Erden, und es bekümmerte ihn in seinem Herzen, (1Sam 15,11; 1Sam 15,35; Ger 18,7) 7 und er sprach: Ich will die Menschen, die ich geschaffen habe, vertilgen von der Erde, vom Menschen an bis hin zum Vieh und bis zum Gewürm und bis zu den Vögeln unter dem Himmel; denn es reut mich, dass ich sie gemacht habe. (Nu 23,19; Ro 3,3; 2Ti 2,13) 8 Aber Noah fand Gnade vor dem HERRN. (Eb 11,7) 9 Dies ist die Geschichte von Noahs Geschlecht. Noah war ein frommer Mann und ohne Tadel zu seinen Zeiten; er wandelte mit Gott. (Gen 5,22) 10 Und Noah zeugte drei Söhne: Sem, Ham und Jafet. 11 Aber die Erde war verderbt vor Gott und voller Frevel. 12 Da sah Gott auf die Erde, und siehe, sie war verderbt; denn alles Fleisch hatte seinen Weg verderbt auf Erden. (Sal 14,2) 13 Da sprach Gott zu Noah: Das Ende allen Fleisches ist bei mir beschlossen, denn die Erde ist voller Frevel von ihnen; und siehe, ich will sie verderben mit der Erde. (Am 8,2) 14 Mache dir einen Kasten von Tannenholz und mache Kammern darin und verpiche ihn mit Pech innen und außen. 15 Und mache ihn so: Dreihundert Ellen sei die Länge, fünfzig Ellen die Breite und dreißig Ellen die Höhe. 16 Ein Fenster sollst du für den Kasten machen obenan, eine Elle groß. Die Tür sollst du mitten in seine Seite setzen. Und er soll drei Stockwerke haben, eines unten, das zweite in der Mitte, das dritte oben. 17 Denn siehe, ich will eine Sintflut kommen lassen auf Erden, zu verderben alles Fleisch, darin Odem des Lebens ist, unter dem Himmel. Alles, was auf Erden ist, soll untergehen. 18 Aber mit dir will ich meinen Bund aufrichten, und du sollst in die Arche gehen mit deinen Söhnen, mit deiner Frau und mit den Frauen deiner Söhne. (Gen 9,9) 19 Und du sollst in die Arche bringen von allen Tieren, von allem Fleisch, je ein Paar, Männchen und Weibchen, dass sie leben bleiben mit dir. 20 Von den Vögeln nach ihrer Art, von dem Vieh nach seiner Art und von allem Gewürm auf Erden nach seiner Art: Von den allen soll je ein Paar zu dir hineingehen, dass sie leben bleiben. 21 Und du sollst dir von jeder Speise nehmen, die gegessen wird, und sollst sie bei dir sammeln, dass sie dir und ihnen zur Nahrung diene. 22 Und Noah tat alles, was ihm Gott gebot. La maldad humana

1 Cuando los seres humanos comenzaron a multiplicarse sobre la tierra y tuvieron hijas, 2 los hijos de Dios vieron que las hijas de los seres humanos eran hermosas. Entonces tomaron como mujeres a todas las que desearon. 3 Pero el Señor dijo: «Mi espíritu no permanecerá en el ser humano para siempre, porque no es más que un simple mortal; por eso vivirá solamente ciento veinte años.» 4 Al unirse los hijos de Dios con las hijas de los seres humanos y tener hijos con ellas, nacieron gigantes, que fueron los famosos héroes de antaño. A partir de entonces hubo gigantes en la tierra. 5 Al ver el Señor que la maldad del ser humano en la tierra era muy grande, y que todos sus pensamientos tendían siempre hacia el mal, 6 se arrepintió de haber hecho al ser humano en la tierra, y le dolió en el corazón. 7 Entonces dijo: «Voy a borrar de la tierra al ser humano que he creado. Y haré lo mismo con los animales, los reptiles y las aves del cielo. ¡Me arrepiento de haberlos creado!» 8 Pero Noé contaba con el favor del Señor.

El diluvio

9 Ésta es la historia de Noé. Noé era un hombre justo y honrado entre su gente. Siempre anduvo fielmente con Dios. 10 Tuvo tres hijos: Sem, Cam y Jafet. 11 Pero Dios vio que la tierra estaba corrompida y llena de violencia. 12 Al ver Dios tanta corrupción en la tierra, y tanta perversión en la gente, 13 le dijo a Noé: «He decidido acabar con toda la gente, pues por causa de ella la tierra está llena de violencia. Así que voy a destruir a la gente junto con la tierra. 14 Constrúyete un arca de madera resinosa,^[1] hazle compartimentos, y cúbrela con brea por dentro y por fuera. 15 Dale las siguientes medidas: ciento cuarenta metros de largo, veintitrés de ancho y catorce de alto.^[2] 16 Hazla de tres pisos, con una abertura a medio metro^[3] del techo y con una puerta en uno de sus costados. 17 Porque voy a enviar un diluvio sobre la tierra, para destruir a todos los seres vivientes bajo el cielo. Todo lo que existe en la tierra morirá. 18 Pero contigo estableceré mi pacto, y entrarán en el arca tú y tus hijos, tu esposa y tus nueras. 19 Haz que entre en el arca una pareja de todos los seres vivientes, es decir, un macho y una hembra de cada especie, para que sobrevivan contigo. 20 Contigo entrará también una pareja de cada especie de aves, de ganado y de reptiles, para que puedan sobrevivir. 21 Recoge además toda clase de alimento, y almacénalo, para que a ti y a ellos les sirva de comida.» 22 Y Noé hizo todo según lo que Dios le había mandado.
