1 Alleluia. Lodate, o servi del Signore, lodate il nome del Signore. 2 Sia benedetto il nome del Signore, ora e sempre! 3 Dal sol levante fino al ponente sia lodato il nome del Signore. 4 Il Signore è superiore a tutte le nazioni e la sua gloria è al di sopra dei cieli. 5 Chi è simile al Signore, al nostro Dio, che siede sul trono in alto, 6 che si abbassa a guardare nei cieli e sulla terra? 7 Egli rialza il misero dalla polvere e solleva il povero dal letame, 8 per farlo sedere con i prìncipi, con i prìncipi del suo popolo. 9 Fa abitare la sterile in famiglia, quale madre felice tra i suoi figli. Alleluia.

1 Halleluja! Lobt, ihr Knechte des HERRN! Lobt den Namen des HERRN! (Sal 134,1; Sal 135,1) 2 Gepriesen sei der Name des HERRN von nun an bis in Ewigkeit! (Sal 115,18; Da 2,20) 3 Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergang sei gelobt der Name des HERRN! (Mal 1,11) 4 Hoch über alle Nationen ist der HERR, über den Himmel seine Herrlichkeit. (Sal 57,12) 5 Wer ist wie der HERR, unser Gott, der hoch oben thront, (Eso 15,11; Sal 11,4; Sal 89,7; Is 57,15) 6 der in die Tiefe schaut – im Himmel und auf Erden? (Giob 28,24; Sal 33,14) 7 Er hebt den Geringen aus dem Staub empor, aus dem Schmutz erhöht er den Armen, (Sal 107,41) 8 um ihn sitzen zu lassen bei Edlen, bei den Edlen seines Volkes. (1Sam 2,8) 9 Der die Unfruchtbare des Hauses[1] wohnen lässt als eine fröhliche Mutter von Söhnen! Halleluja! (Is 54,1)

1 Praise ye the LORD. Praise, O ye servants of the LORD, praise the name of the LORD. 2 Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore. 3 From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD' name is to be praised. 4 The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens. 5 Who is like unto the LORD our God, who dwelleth on high, 6 Who humbleth himself to behold the things that are in heaven, and in the earth! 7 He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth the needy out of the dunghill; 8 That he may set him with princes, even with the princes of his people. 9 He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children. Praise ye the LORD.
