Non rimanere impassibile e inerte, o Dio!2Poiché, ecco, i tuoi nemici si agitano, i tuoi avversari alzano la testa.3Tramano insidie contro il tuo popolo e congiurano contro quelli che tu proteggi.4Dicono: «Venite, distruggiamoli come nazione, e il nome d’Israele non sia più ricordato!»5Poiché si sono accordati con uno stesso sentimento, stringono un patto contro di te:6le tende di Edom e gli Ismaeliti; Moab e gli Agareni;7Ghelal, Ammon e Amalec; la Filistia con gli abitanti di Tiro;8anche l’Assiria si è aggiunta a loro; presta il suo braccio ai figli di Lot. [Pausa]9Fa’ a loro come facesti a Madian, a Sisera, a Iabin presso il torrente di Chison,10i quali furono distrutti a En-Dor, servirono da concime alla terra.11Rendi i loro capi come Oreb e Zeeb, tutti i loro prìncipi come Zeba e Salmunna;12poiché hanno detto: «Impossessiamoci delle dimore di Dio!»13Dio mio, rendili simile al turbine, a stoppia portata via dal vento.14Come il fuoco brucia la foresta e come la fiamma incendia i monti,15così inseguili con la tua tempesta e spaventali con il tuo uragano.16Copri la loro faccia di vergogna perché cerchino il tuo nome, o Signore!17Siano delusi e confusi per sempre, siano svergognati e periscano!18E conoscano che tu, il cui nome è il Signore, tu solo sei l’Altissimo su tutta la terra.

di Biblica1Oh Dios, no guardes silencio; no te quedes, oh Dios, callado e impasible.2Mira cómo se alborotan tus enemigos, cómo te desafían los que te odian.3Con astucia conspiran contra tu pueblo; conspiran contra aquellos a quienes tú estimas.4Y dicen: «¡Vengan, destruyamos su nación! ¡Que el nombre de Israel no vuelva a recordarse!»5Como un solo hombre se confabulan; han hecho un pacto contra ti:6los campamentos de Edom y de Ismael, los de Moab y de Agar,7Guebal,[1] Amón y Amalec, los de Filistea y los habitantes de Tiro.8¡Hasta Asiria se les ha unido; ha apoyado a los descendientes de Lot!
