1 Salmo di Davide. O Signore, chi dimorerà nella tua tenda? Chi abiterà sul tuo santo monte? 2 Colui che è puro e agisce con giustizia e dice la verità come l’ha nel cuore; 3 che non calunnia con la sua lingua, né fa male alcuno al suo vicino, né insulta il suo prossimo. 4 Agli occhi suoi è spregevole il malvagio, ma egli onora quelli che temono il Signore. Se anche ha giurato a suo danno, non cambia; 5 non dà il suo denaro a usura, né accetta regali a danno dell’innocente. Chi agisce così non sarà mai smosso.

1 Ein Psalm. Von David. HERR, wer darf in deinem Zelt weilen? Wer darf wohnen auf deinem heiligen Berg? (Sal 24,3) 2 Der rechtschaffen wandelt und Gerechtigkeit übt und Wahrheit redet in seinem Herzen. (Sal 140,14; Is 33,15; At 10,35) 3 Er hat nicht verleumdet mit seiner Zunge^[1], seinem Gefährten kein Übel angetan und auf seinen Nächsten keine Schmähung gebracht. (Le 19,16; Ro 13,10; Tit 3,2) 4 In seinen Augen ist der Verworfene verachtet, aber die, die den HERRN fürchten, ehrt er; er hat zu ⟨seinem⟩ Schaden geschworen und ändert es nicht. 5 Sein Geld hat er nicht auf Zins^[2] gegeben, und ein ⟨Bestechungs⟩geschenk gegen den Unschuldigen nicht angenommen. Wer solches tut, wird nicht wanken in Ewigkeit. (Eso 22,24; De 16,19; Prov 10,30)

3 who does not slander with his tongue and does no evil to his neighbor, nor takes up a reproach against his friend; (Eso 23,1; Le 19,16; Sal 34,13) 4 in whose eyes a vile person is despised, but who honors those who fear the LORD; who swears to his own hurt and does not change; (Giudic 11,35; Est 3,2) 5 who does not put out his money at interest and does not take a bribe against the innocent. 1 ¿Quién, Señor, puede habitar en tu santuario? ¿Quién puede vivir en tu santo monte? 2 Sólo el de conducta intachable, que practica la justicia y de corazón dice la verdad; 3 que no calumnia con la lengua, que no le hace mal a su prójimo ni le acarrea desgracias a su vecino; 4 que desprecia al que Dios reprueba, pero honra al que teme al Señor; que cumple lo prometido aunque salga perjudicado; 5 que presta dinero sin ánimo de lucro, y no acepta sobornos que afecten al inocente. El que así actúa no caerá jamás.
