1 Salmo di Asaf. Dio sta nell’assemblea divina; egli giudica in mezzo agli dèi.2 «Fino a quando giudicherete ingiustamente e avrete riguardo agli empi?

(Sal 2,8; Sal 76,10; Sal 94,2)

1 A Psalm of Asaph. God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment: (1Sam 28,13; 2Cr 19,5; Sal 50,1; Sal 58,11; Ec 5,8; Is 3,13)2 “How long will you judge unjustly and show partiality to the wicked? (De 1,17; Prov 18,5)3 Give justice to the weak and the fatherless; maintain the right of the afflicted and the destitute. (Sal 10,18; Sal 41,1; Ger 22,3)4 Rescue the weak and the needy; deliver them from the hand of the wicked.” (Giob 29,12; Prov 24,11)5 They have neither knowledge nor understanding, they walk about in darkness; all the foundations of the earth are shaken. (Sal 10,6; Sal 11,3; Sal 14,4; Prov 2,13; Mi 3,1)6 I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; (Sal 82,1; Giov 10,34)7 nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.”[1] (Giob 21,32; Sal 49,12; Ez 28,2; Ez 31,14)8 Arise, O God, judge the earth; for you shall inherit all the nations! (Sal 2,8; Sal 12,5; Ap 11,15)

Salmo 82

King James Version

1 A Psalm of Asaph. God standeth in the congregation of the mighty; he judgeth among the gods.2 How long will ye judge unjustly, and accept the persons of the wicked? Selah.3 Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy.4 Deliver the poor and needy: rid them out of the hand of the wicked.5 They know not, neither will they understand; they walk on in darkness: all the foundations of the earth are out of course.6 I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.7 But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.8 Arise, O God, judge the earth: for thou shalt inherit all nations.
