Salmo 53

(Ro 11,26)

Salmo 53

English Standard Version

di Crossway
1 To the choirmaster: according to Mahalath. A Maskil[1] of David. The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.” They are corrupt, doing abominable iniquity; there is none who does good. (Sal 14,1; Sal 88,1)2 God looks down from heaven on the children of man to see if there are any who understand,[2] who seek after God.3 They have all fallen away; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one.4 Have those who work evil no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread, and do not call upon God?5 There they are, in great terror, where there is no terror! For God scatters the bones of him who encamps against you; you put them to shame, for God has rejected them. (Le 26,17; Le 26,36; Sal 89,10; Sal 141,7; Prov 28,1; Ger 8,1; Ez 6,5)6 Oh, that salvation for Israel would come out of Zion! When God restores the fortunes of his people, let Jacob rejoice, let Israel be glad.

Salmo 53

King James Version

1 To the chief Musician upon Mahalath, Maschil, A Psalm of David. The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. Corrupt are they, and have done abominable iniquity: there is none that doeth good.2 God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God.3 Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.4 Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.5 There were they in great fear, where no fear was: for God hath scattered the bones of him that encampeth against thee: thou hast put them to shame, because God hath despised them.6 Oh that the salvation of Israel were come out of Zion! When God bringeth back the captivity of his people, Jacob shall rejoice, and Israel shall be glad.
