1 Fammi giustizia, o Dio, difendi la mia causa contro gente malvagia; liberami dall’uomo falso e malvagio. 

2 Tu sei il Dio che mi dà forza; perché mi hai abbandonato? Perché devo andare vestito a lutto per l’oppressione del nemico? 

3 Manda la tua luce e la tua verità, perché mi guidino, mi conducano al tuo santo monte e alle tue dimore. 

4 Allora mi avvicinerò all’altare di Dio, al Dio della mia gioia e della mia esultanza; e ti celebrerò con la cetra, o Dio, Dio mio! 

5 Perché ti abbatti, anima mia? Perché ti agiti in me? Spera in Dio, perché lo celebrerò ancora; egli è il mio salvatore e il mio Dio.

Psalm 43

1 Schaffe mir Recht, Gott, und führe meinen Rechtsstreit mit einer gnadenlosen Nation! Vom Mann des Betrugs und des Unrechts rette mich! (Sal 7,7; Sal 54,3; Sal 71,4; Sal 140,5) 

2 Denn du bist der Gott meiner Zuflucht. Warum hast du mich verworfen? Warum muss ich trauernd einhergehen, bedrückt durch den Feind? (Sal 28,7; Sal 42,10; Sal 88,15) 

3 Sende dein Licht und deine Wahrheit; sie sollen mich leiten, mich bringen zu deinem heiligen Berg und zu deinen Wohnungen. (Sal 57,4) 

4 So werde ich kommen zum Altar Gottes, zum Gott meiner Jubelfreude, und werde dich preisen auf der Zither, Gott, mein Gott! (Sal 57,8; Sal 63,2; Sal 71,22; Zac 13,9) 

5 Was bist du so aufgelöst, meine Seele, und was stöhnst du in mir? Harre auf Gott, denn ich werde ihn noch preisen, das Heil meines Angesichts und meinen Gott. (Sal 42,6)

Send Out Your Light and Your Truth

1 Vindicate me, O God, and defend my cause against an ungodly people, from the deceitful and unjust man deliver me! (1Sam 24,15; Sal 5,6; Sal 7,8; Sal 26,1) 

2 For you are the God in whom I take refuge; why have you rejected me? Why do I go about mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? (Sal 31,4; Sal 42,9; Sal 44,9) 

3 Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling! (Sal 2,6; Sal 40,11; Sal 46,4; Sal 57,3; Sal 84,1) 

4 Then I will go to the altar of God, to God my exceeding joy, and I will praise you with the lyre, O God, my God. 

5 Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God. (Sal 42,5; Sal 42,11)

1 Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man. 

2 For thou art the God of my strength: why dost thou cast me off? why go I mourning because of the oppression of the enemy? 

3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles. 

4 Then will I go unto the altar of God, unto God my exceeding joy: yea, upon the harp will I praise thee, O God my God. 

5 Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God.
