1 Salmo di Davide. Date al Signore, o figli di Dio, date al Signore gloria e forza! 2 Date al Signore la gloria dovuta al suo nome; adorate il Signore con santa magnificenza. 3 La voce del Signore è sulle acque; il Dio di gloria tuona; il Signore è sulle grandi acque. 4 La voce del Signore è potente, la voce del Signore è piena di maestà. 5 La voce del Signore rompe i cedri; il Signore spezza i cedri del Libano. 6 Fa saltellare i monti come vitelli, il Libano e l’Ermon come giovani bufali. 7 La voce del Signore fa guizzare i fulmini. 8 La voce del Signore fa tremare il deserto; il Signore fa tremare il deserto di Cades. 9 La voce del Signore fa partorire le cerve e sfronda le selve. E nel suo tempio tutto esclama: «Gloria!» 10 Il Signore sedeva sovrano sul diluvio, anzi il Signore siede re per sempre. 11 Il Signore darà forza al suo popolo; il Signore benedirà il suo popolo dandogli pace.

1 Ein Psalm. Von David. Gebt dem HERRN, ihr Göttersöhne, gebt dem HERRN Herrlichkeit und Kraft! (Sal 68,35; Sal 89,7; Sal 96,7) 2 Gebt dem HERRN die Herrlichkeit seines Namens; betet an den HERRN in heiliger Pracht[1]! (Sal 96,8; Sal 110,3; Ap 7,12) 3 Die Stimme des HERRN[2] ist über den Wassern, der Gott der Herrlichkeit donnert; der HERR über großen Wassern. (Sal 18,14; At 7,2) 4 Die Stimme des HERRN ⟨ertönt⟩ mit Macht, die Stimme des HERRN in Majestät. (Giob 40,9; Sal 68,34; Sal 93,4; Is 30,30; Ap 1,10) 5 Die Stimme des HERRN zerbricht Zedern, ja, der HERR zerbricht die Zedern des Libanon. (Giob 39,1) 10 Der HERR thront auf der Wasserflut, der HERR thront als König in Ewigkeit. (Sal 9,8) 11 Der HERR möge Kraft geben seinem Volk, der HERR möge sein Volk segnen mit Frieden. 1 A Psalm of David. Ascribe to the Lord, O heavenly beings,[1] ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. (1Cr 16,28; Sal 68,34; Sal 96,7) 2 Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.[2] (Eso 28,2; 1Cr 16,29; Sal 110,3) 3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters; the God of glory thunders, the Lord, over many waters. (Giob 37,4; Sal 18,11) 4 The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. (Sal 68,33) 5 The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars; the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon. (Giudic 9,15; Sal 104,16) 6 He makes Lebanon to skip like a calf, and Sirion like a young wild ox. (Nu 23,22; De 3,9; Sal 114,4; Sal 114,6) 7 The voice of the Lord flashes forth flames of fire. 8 The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. Give unto the LORD, O ye mighty, give unto the LORD glory and strength. 2 Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness. 3 The voice of the LORD is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the LORD is upon many waters. 4 The voice of the LORD is powerful; the voice of the LORD is full of majesty. 5 The voice of the LORD breaketh the cedars; yea, the LORD breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. 6 He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. 7 The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. 8 The voice of the LORD shaketh the wilderness; the LORD shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. 9 The voice of the LORD maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory. 10 The LORD sitteth upon the flood; yea, the LORD sitteth King for ever. 11 The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.
