Salmo 2

(Sal 31,20; Sal 34,9; Sal 84,13; Prov 16,20; Is 30,18; Ap 6,16)

Salmo 2

English Standard Version

di Crossway
1 Why do the nations rage[1] and the peoples plot in vain? (Sal 46,6; At 4,25)2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against his Anointed, saying, (Sal 18,50; Sal 20,6; Sal 45,7; Sal 89,20)3 “Let us burst their bonds apart and cast away their cords from us.” (Ger 5,5)4 He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord holds them in derision. (Giob 22,19; Sal 11,4; Sal 29,10; Sal 37,13; Sal 59,8; Prov 1,26; Is 40,22)5 Then he will speak to them in his wrath, and terrify them in his fury, saying, (Ap 6,16)6 “As for me, I have set my King on Zion, my holy hill.” (2Sam 5,7; Sal 3,4; Sal 15,1; Sal 43,3; Sal 99,9; Sal 110,2; Prov 8,23)7 I will tell of the decree: The Lord said to me, “You are my Son; today I have begotten you. (At 13,33; Ro 1,4; Eb 1,5; Eb 5,5)8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage, and the ends of the earth your possession. (Sal 72,8; Sal 89,27; Da 7,14)9 You shall break[2] them with a rod of iron and dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.” (Giob 34,24; Sal 89,23; Is 30,14; Ger 19,11; Ap 2,27; Ap 12,5; Ap 19,15)10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise; be warned, O rulers of the earth.11 Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice with trembling. (Fili 2,12; Fili 4,4; Eb 12,28)12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath is quickly kindled. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. (1Sam 10,1; 1Re 19,18; Sal 2,5; Sal 34,8; Sal 84,12; Sal 146,5; Prov 16,20; Prov 31,2; Is 30,18; Ger 17,7; Giov 5,23)

Salmo 2

King James Version

1 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?2 The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying ,3 Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.4 He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.5 Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.6 Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.7 I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.8 Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.9 Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter' vessel.10 Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.11 Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.12 Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.
