Ezechiele 5

English Standard Version

di Crossway
1 “And you, O son of man, take a sharp sword. Use it as a barber’s razor and pass it over your head and your beard. Then take balances for weighing and divide the hair. (Le 21,5; Sal 57,4; Is 7,20; Is 49,2; Ez 1,3; Ez 2,1; Ez 44,20)2 A third part you shall burn in the fire in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are completed. And a third part you shall take and strike with the sword all around the city. And a third part you shall scatter to the wind, and I will unsheathe the sword after them. (Ger 9,16; Ez 4,1; Ez 4,8; Ez 5,5; Ez 5,10; Ez 5,12; Ez 12,14)3 And you shall take from these a small number and bind them in the skirts of your robe. (Ger 40,6; Ger 52,16)4 And of these again you shall take some and cast them into the midst of the fire and burn them in the fire. From there a fire will come out into all the house of Israel. (Ger 42,18; Ger 44,14)5 “Thus says the Lord God: This is Jerusalem. I have set her in the center of the nations, with countries all around her. (Ez 4,1; Ez 5,2; Ez 38,12)6 And she has rebelled against my rules by doing wickedness more than the nations, and against my statutes more than the countries all around her; for they have rejected my rules and have not walked in my statutes. (Ez 5,5; Ez 16,47)7 Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you are more turbulent than the nations that are all around you, and have not walked in my statutes or obeyed my rules, and have not[1] even acted according to the rules of the nations that are all around you, (Sal 2,1; Sal 46,6; Ez 11,12; Ez 16,47)8 therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, even I, am against you. And I will execute judgments[2] in your midst in the sight of the nations. (Ez 11,9; Ez 13,8; Ez 16,41; Ez 22,16; Ez 23,10)9 And because of all your abominations I will do with you what I have never yet done, and the like of which I will never do again. (2Re 21,12; Lam 1,12; Da 9,12)10 Therefore fathers shall eat their sons in your midst, and sons shall eat their fathers. And I will execute judgments on you, and any of you who survive I will scatter to all the winds. (De 28,64; Ger 9,16; Ger 15,4; Ger 19,9; Ez 5,2; Ez 5,8; Ez 12,14; Ez 17,21; Ez 22,15; Ez 36,19; Zac 2,6)11 Therefore, as I live, declares the Lord God, surely, because you have defiled my sanctuary with all your detestable things and with all your abominations, therefore I will withdraw.[3] My eye will not spare, and I will have no pity. (2Cr 36,14; Ger 7,30; Ger 21,7; Ez 7,4; Ez 7,9; Ez 7,20; Ez 8,3; Ez 8,5; Ez 8,18; Ez 9,5; Ez 9,10; Ez 11,18; Ez 11,21; Ez 16,27; Ez 16,48; Ez 23,39)12 A third part of you shall die of pestilence and be consumed with famine in your midst; a third part shall fall by the sword all around you; and a third part I will scatter to all the winds and will unsheathe the sword after them. (Ger 15,2; Ez 5,2; Ez 6,11)13 “Thus shall my anger spend itself, and I will vent my fury upon them and satisfy myself. And they shall know that I am the Lord—that I have spoken in my jealousy—when I spend my fury upon them. (Lam 4,11; Ez 6,12; Ez 7,8; Ez 20,8; Ez 20,21; Ez 36,5; Ez 38,19; Ez 39,25)14 Moreover, I will make you a desolation and an object of reproach among the nations all around you and in the sight of all who pass by. (Ne 2,17; Sal 79,4; Ger 22,5; Ger 24,9; Ez 5,5; Ez 6,6; Ez 22,4)15 You shall be[4] a reproach and a taunt, a warning and a horror, to the nations all around you, when I execute judgments on you in anger and fury, and with furious rebukes—I am the Lord; I have spoken— (De 28,37; Ez 5,14; Ez 14,8; Ez 14,21; Ez 25,17)16 when I send against you[5] the deadly arrows of famine, arrows for destruction, which I will send to destroy you, and when I bring more and more famine upon you and break your supply[6] of bread. (De 32,23; Ez 4,16)17 I will send famine and wild beasts against you, and they will rob you of your children. Pestilence and blood shall pass through you, and I will bring the sword upon you. I am the Lord; I have spoken.” (De 32,24; 2Re 17,25; Ez 14,15; Ez 33,27; Ez 34,25; Ez 36,12; Ez 38,22)

Ezechiele 5

King James Version

1 And thou, son of man, take thee a sharp knife, take thee a barber' razor, and cause it to pass upon thine head and upon thy beard: then take thee balances to weigh, and divide the hair .2 Thou shalt burn with fire a third part in the midst of the city, when the days of the siege are fulfilled: and thou shalt take a third part, and smite about it with a knife: and a third part thou shalt scatter in the wind; and I will draw out a sword after them.3 Thou shalt also take thereof a few in number, and bind them in thy skirts.4 Then take of them again, and cast them into the midst of the fire, and burn them in the fire; for thereof shall a fire come forth into all the house of Israel.5 Thus saith the Lord GOD; This is Jerusalem: I have set it in the midst of the nations and countries that are round about her.6 And she hath changed my judgments into wickedness more than the nations, and my statutes more than the countries that are round about her: for they have refused my judgments and my statutes, they have not walked in them.7 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Because ye multiplied more than the nations that are round about you, and have not walked in my statutes, neither have kept my judgments, neither have done according to the judgments of the nations that are round about you;8 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, am against thee, and will execute judgments in the midst of thee in the sight of the nations.9 And I will do in thee that which I have not done, and whereunto I will not do any more the like, because of all thine abominations.10 Therefore the fathers shall eat the sons in the midst of thee, and the sons shall eat their fathers; and I will execute judgments in thee, and the whole remnant of thee will I scatter into all the winds.11 Wherefore, as I live, saith the Lord GOD; Surely, because thou hast defiled my sanctuary with all thy detestable things, and with all thine abominations, therefore will I also diminish thee ; neither shall mine eye spare, neither will I have any pity.12 A third part of thee shall die with the pestilence, and with famine shall they be consumed in the midst of thee: and a third part shall fall by the sword round about thee; and I will scatter a third part into all the winds, and I will draw out a sword after them.13 Thus shall mine anger be accomplished, and I will cause my fury to rest upon them, and I will be comforted: and they shall know that I the LORD have spoken it in my zeal, when I have accomplished my fury in them.14 Moreover I will make thee waste, and a reproach among the nations that are round about thee, in the sight of all that pass by.15 So it shall be a reproach and a taunt, an instruction and an astonishment unto the nations that are round about thee, when I shall execute judgments in thee in anger and in fury and in furious rebukes. I the LORD have spoken it .16 When I shall send upon them the evil arrows of famine, which shall be for their destruction, and which I will send to destroy you: and I will increase the famine upon you, and will break your staff of bread:17 So will I send upon you famine and evil beasts, and they shall bereave thee; and pestilence and blood shall pass through thee; and I will bring the sword upon thee. I the LORD have spoken it .
