Contro i pastori infedeli

1 La parola del Signore mi fu rivolta in questi termini: 2 «Figlio d’uomo, profetizza contro i pastori d’Israele; profetizza e di’ a quei pastori: Così parla il Signore, Dio: “Guai ai pastori d’Israele che non hanno fatto altro che pascere se stessi! Non è forse il gregge quello che i pastori debbono pascere? 3 Voi mangiate il latte, vi vestite di lana, ammazzate ciò che è ingrassato, ma non pascete il gregge. 4 Voi non avete rafforzato le pecore deboli, non avete guarito la malata, non avete fasciato quella che era ferita, non avete ricondotto la smarrita, non avete cercato la perduta, ma avete dominato su di loro con violenza e con asprezza. 5 Esse, per mancanza di pastore, si sono disperse, sono diventate pasto di tutte le bestie dei campi e si sono disperse. 6 Le mie pecore si smarriscono per tutti i monti e per ogni alto colle; le mie pecore si disperdono su tutta la distesa del paese, e non c’è nessuno che se ne prenda cura, nessuno che le cerchi! 7 Perciò, o pastori, ascoltate la parola del Signore! 8 Com’è vero che io vivo”, dice il Signore, Dio, “poiché le mie pecore sono abbandonate alla rapina e poiché le mie pecore, che sono senza pastore, servono di pasto a tutte le bestie dei campi, e i miei pastori non cercano le mie pecore, perché i pastori pascono se stessi e non pascono le mie pecore, 9 per questo, o pastori, ascoltate la parola del Signore! 10 Così parla il Signore, Dio: Eccomi contro i pastori; io domanderò le mie pecore alle loro mani e li farò cessare dal pascere le pecore. I pastori non pasceranno più se stessi; io strapperò le mie pecore dalla loro bocca ed esse non serviranno più loro di pasto”.

Il Pastore d’Israele

11 «Infatti così dice il Signore, Dio: “Eccomi! Io stesso mi prenderò cura delle mie pecore e andrò in cerca di loro. 12 Come un pastore va in cerca del suo gregge il giorno che si trova in mezzo alle sue pecore disperse, così io andrò in cerca delle mie pecore e le ricondurrò da tutti i luoghi dove sono state disperse in un giorno di nuvole e di tenebre. 13 Le farò uscire dai popoli, le radunerò dai diversi paesi e le ricondurrò sul loro suolo; le pascerò sui monti d’Israele, lungo i ruscelli e in tutti i luoghi abitati del paese. 14 Io le pascerò in buoni pascoli e i loro ovili saranno sugli alti monti d’Israele; esse riposeranno là in buoni ovili e pascoleranno in grassi pascoli sui monti d’Israele. 15 Io stesso pascerò le mie pecore, io stesso le farò riposare”, dice il Signore, Dio. 16 “Io cercherò la perduta, ricondurrò la smarrita, fascerò la ferita, rafforzerò la malata, ma distruggerò la grassa e la forte; io le pascerò con giustizia. 17 Quanto a voi, o pecore mie, così dice il Signore, Dio: Ecco, io giudicherò tra pecora e pecora, fra montoni e capri. 18 Vi sembra forse troppo poco il pascolare in questo buon pascolo, al punto che volete calpestare con i piedi ciò che rimane del vostro pascolo? Il bere le acque più chiare, al punto che volete intorbidire con i piedi quel che ne resta? 19 Le mie pecore hanno per pascolo quello che i vostri piedi hanno calpestato; devono bere ciò che i vostri piedi hanno intorbidito!” 20 Perciò, così dice loro il Signore, Dio: “Eccomi, io stesso giudicherò fra la pecora grassa e la pecora magra. 21 Siccome voi avete spinto con il fianco e con la spalla, e avete cozzato con le corna tutte le pecore deboli finché non le avete disperse e cacciate fuori, 22 io salverò le mie pecore ed esse non saranno più abbandonate alla rapina; giudicherò tra pecora e pecora. 23 Porrò sopra di esse un solo pastore che le pascolerà: il mio servo Davide; egli le pascolerà, egli sarà il loro pastore. 24 Io, il Signore, sarò il loro Dio, e il mio servo Davide sarà principe in mezzo a loro. Io, il Signore, ho parlato. 25 Stabilirò con esse un patto di pace; farò sparire le bestie selvatiche dal paese; le mie pecore abiteranno al sicuro nel deserto e dormiranno nelle foreste. 26 Farò in modo che esse e i luoghi attorno al mio colle siano una benedizione; farò scendere la pioggia a suo tempo, e saranno piogge di benedizione. 27 L’albero dei campi darà il suo frutto, e la terra darà i suoi prodotti. Esse staranno al sicuro sul loro suolo e conosceranno che io sono il Signore, quando spezzerò le sbarre del loro giogo e le libererò dalla mano di quelli che le tenevano schiave. 28 Non saranno più preda delle nazioni; le bestie dei campi non le divoreranno più, ma se ne staranno al sicuro, senza che nessuno più le spaventi. 29 Farò crescere per loro una vegetazione rinomata; non saranno più consumate dalla fame nel paese e non subiranno più gli oltraggi delle nazioni. 30 Conosceranno che io, il Signore, loro Dio, sono con loro, e che esse, la casa d’Israele, sono il mio popolo”, dice il Signore, Dio. 31 “Voi, pecore mie, pecore del mio pascolo, siete uomini. Io sono il vostro Dio”, dice il Signore, Dio».

Die schlechten Hirten Israels und Gott, der gute Hirte seines Volkes

1 Und das Wort des HERRN geschah zu mir so: 2 Menschensohn, weissage über die Hirten Israels, weissage und sprich zu ihnen, den Hirten: So spricht der Herr, HERR: Wehe den Hirten Israels, die sich selbst weiden! Sollen die Hirten nicht die Herde^[1] weiden? (Sal 78,72; Is 56,11; 1P 5,1) 3 Die Milch^[2] genießt ihr, und mit der Wolle kleidet ihr euch, das fette Vieh schlachtet ihr – die Herde weidet ihr nicht. (Mi 3,1; Zac 11,5; Giov 10,1) 4 Die Schwachen habt ihr nicht gestärkt und das Kranke nicht geheilt und das Gebrochene nicht verbunden und das Versprengte nicht zurückgebracht und das Verlorene nicht gesucht,^[3] sondern mit Härte habt ihr über sie geherrscht und^[4] mit Gewalt. 7 Darum, ihr Hirten, hört das Wort des HERRN! 8 So wahr ich lebe, spricht der Herr, HERR^[5]: Fürwahr, weil meine Schafe zum Raub und meine Schafe allen Tieren des Feldes zum Fraß geworden sind, weil kein Hirte da war und meine Hirten nicht nach meinen Schafen fragten und die Hirten sich selbst weideten, nicht aber meine Schafe weideten, (Giuda 1,12) 9 darum, ihr Hirten, hört das Wort des HERRN! 10 So spricht der Herr, HERR: Siehe, ich will an die Hirten, und ich werde meine Schafe von ihrer Hand fordern und will ihnen ein Ende machen, dass sie nicht ⟨länger meine⟩ Schafe weiden. 14 Auf guter Weide werde ich sie weiden, und auf den hohen Bergen Israels wird ihr Weideplatz sein; dort, auf den Bergen Israels werden sie auf gutem Weideplatz lagern und fette Weide beweiden. 17 Und ihr, meine Herde, so spricht der Herr, HERR: Siehe, ich werde richten zwischen Schaf und Schaf, den Widdern und den Böcken. Prophecy Against the Shepherds of Israel

1 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the shepherds of Israel; prophesy, and say to them, even to the shepherds, Thus says the Lord God: Ah, shepherds of Israel who have been feeding yourselves! The Lord God Will Seek Them Out

11 “For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I, I myself will search for my sheep and will seek them out. (Mi 4,6; Lu 19,10; Giov 10,11) 12 As a shepherd seeks out his flock when he is among his sheep that have been scattered, so will I seek out my sheep, and I will rescue them from all places where they have been scattered on a day of clouds and thick darkness. (Ez 30,3; Gioe 2,2; So 1,15) 13 And I will bring them out from the peoples and gather them from the countries, and will bring them into their own land. And I will feed them on the mountains of Israel, by the ravines, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 3 Ye eat the fat, and ye clothe you with the wool, ye kill them that are fed: but ye feed not the flock. 4 The diseased have ye not strengthened, neither have ye healed that which was sick, neither have ye bound up that which was broken, neither have ye brought again that which was driven away, neither have ye sought that which was lost; but with force and with cruelty have ye ruled them. 5 And they were scattered, because there is no shepherd: and they became meat to all the beasts of the field, when they were scattered. 6 My sheep wandered through all the mountains, and upon every high hill: yea, my flock was scattered upon all the face of the earth, and none did search or seek after them . 7 Therefore, ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; 8 As I live, saith the Lord GOD, surely because my flock became a prey, and my flock became meat to every beast of the field, because there was no shepherd, neither did my shepherds search for my flock, but the shepherds fed themselves, and fed not my flock; 9 Therefore, O ye shepherds, hear the word of the LORD; 10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against the shepherds; and I will require my flock at their hand, and cause them to cease from feeding the flock; neither shall the shepherds feed themselves any more; for I will deliver my flock from their mouth, that they may not be meat for them. 11 For thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I, even I, will both search my sheep, and seek them out. 12 As a shepherd seeketh out his flock in the day that he is among his sheep that are scattered; so will I seek out my sheep, and will deliver them out of all places where they have been scattered in the cloudy and dark day. 13 And I will bring them out from the people, and gather them from the countries, and will bring them to their own land, and feed them upon the mountains of Israel by the rivers, and in all the inhabited places of the country. 14 I will feed them in a good pasture, and upon the high mountains of Israel shall their fold be: there shall they lie in a good fold, and in a fat pasture shall they feed upon the mountains of Israel. 15 I will feed my flock, and I will cause them to lie down, saith the Lord GOD. 16 I will seek that which was lost, and bring again that which was driven away, and will bind up that which was broken, and will strengthen that which was sick: but I will destroy the fat and the strong; I will feed them with judgment. 17 And as for you, O my flock, thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I judge between cattle and cattle, between the rams and the he goats. 18 Seemeth it a small thing unto you to have eaten up the good pasture, but ye must tread down with your feet the residue of your pastures? and to have drunk of the deep waters, but ye must foul the residue with your feet? 19 And as for my flock, they eat that which ye have trodden with your feet; and they drink that which ye have fouled with your feet. 20 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD unto them; Behold, I, even I, will judge between the fat cattle and between the lean cattle. 21 Because ye have thrust with side and with shoulder, and pushed all the diseased with your horns, till ye have scattered them abroad; 22 Therefore will I save my flock, and they shall no more be a prey; and I will judge between cattle and cattle. 23 And I will set up one shepherd over them, and he shall feed them, even my servant David; he shall feed them, and he shall be their shepherd. 24 And I the LORD will be their God, and my servant David a prince among them; I the LORD have spoken it . 25 And I will make with them a covenant of peace, and will cause the evil beasts to cease out of the land: and they shall dwell safely in the wilderness, and sleep in the woods. 26 And I will make them and the places round about my hill a blessing; and I will cause the shower to come down in his season; there shall be showers of blessing. 27 And the tree of the field shall yield her fruit, and the earth shall yield her increase, and they shall be safe in their land, and shall know that I am the LORD, when I have broken the bands of their yoke, and delivered them out of the hand of those that served themselves of them. 28 And they shall no more be a prey to the heathen, neither shall the beast of the land devour them; but they shall dwell safely, and none shall make them afraid. 29 And I will raise up for them a plant of renown, and they shall be no more consumed with hunger in the land, neither bear the shame of the heathen any more. 30 Thus shall they know that I the LORD their God am with them, and that they, even the house of Israel, are my people, saith the Lord GOD. 31 And ye my flock, the flock of my pasture, are men, and I am your God, saith the Lord GOD.
