Contro i falsi profeti e le false profetesse

1 La parola del Signore mi fu rivolta in questi termini: 2 «Figlio d’uomo, profetizza contro i profeti d’Israele che profetizzano, e di’ a quelli che profetizzano secondo la propria volontà: “Ascoltate la parola del Signore!” 3 Così parla il Signore, Dio: “Guai ai profeti stolti, che seguono il loro proprio spirito e parlano di cose che non hanno viste! 4 O Israele, i tuoi profeti sono stati come volpi tra le rovine! 5 Voi non siete saliti alle brecce, non avete costruito riparo attorno alla casa d’Israele, per poter resistere alla battaglia nel giorno del Signore. 6 Hanno visioni vane, divinazioni bugiarde, costoro che dicono: ‘Il Signore ha detto!’, mentre il Signore non li ha mandati; e sperano che la loro parola si adempia! 7 Non avete voi visioni vane e non pronunciate forse divinazioni bugiarde, quando dite: ‘Il Signore ha detto’, e io non ho parlato?” 8 Perciò, così parla il Signore, Dio: “Poiché proferite cose vane e avete visioni bugiarde, eccomi contro di voi”, dice il Signore, Dio. 9 “La mia mano sarà contro i profeti dalle visioni vane e dalle divinazioni bugiarde; essi non saranno più nel consiglio del mio popolo, non saranno più iscritti nel registro della casa d’Israele, non entreranno nel paese d’Israele; e voi conoscerete che io sono il Signore, Dio. 10 Proprio perché sviano il mio popolo, dicendo: ‘Pace!’ quando non c’è alcuna pace, e perché quando il popolo costruisce un muro, ecco che costoro lo intonacano di malta che non regge, 11 di’ a quelli che lo intonacano di malta che non regge, che esso cadrà; verrà una pioggia scrosciante, e voi, o pietre di grandine, cadrete, e si scatenerà un vento tempestoso. 12 Ed ecco, quando il muro cadrà, non vi si dirà forse: ‘E dov’è la malta con cui l’avevate intonacato?’”. 13 Perciò così parla il Signore, Dio: “Io, nel mio furore, farò scatenare un vento tempestoso, nella mia ira farò cadere una pioggia scrosciante, e nella mia indignazione delle pietre di grandine sterminatrice. 14 Demolirò il muro che voi avete intonacato con malta che non regge, lo rovescerò a terra e i suoi fondamenti saranno messi allo scoperto; esso cadrà e voi sarete distrutti assieme a esso; e conoscerete che io sono il Signore. 15 Così sfogherò il mio furore su quel muro e su quelli che l’hanno intonacato di malta che non regge; vi dirò: ‘Il muro non è più, e quelli che lo intonacavano non sono più’, 16 cioè i profeti d’Israele, che profetizzano riguardo a Gerusalemme e hanno per lei delle visioni di pace, benché non vi sia alcuna pace”, dice il Signore, Dio. 17 Tu, figlio d’uomo, volgi la faccia verso le figlie del tuo popolo che profetizzano secondo la propria volontà e profetizza contro di loro, 18 e di’: Così parla il Signore, Dio: “Guai alle donne che cuciono nastri per tutti i gomiti, e fanno veli per le teste di ogni altezza, per dare la caccia alle persone! Pretendereste forse di dare la caccia alle persone del mio popolo e salvare voi stesse? 19 Voi mi oltraggiate in mezzo al mio popolo per delle manciate d’orzo e per dei pezzi di pane, facendo morire coloro che non devono morire e facendo vivere coloro che non devono vivere, mentendo al mio popolo, che dà ascolto alle menzogne”. 20 Perciò, così parla il Signore, Dio: “Eccomi ai vostri nastri, con i quali voi date la caccia alle persone come agli uccelli! Io ve li strapperò dalle braccia e lascerò andare le persone, quelle persone che voi catturate al laccio come gli uccelli. 21 Strapperò pure i vostri veli, libererò il mio popolo dalle vostre mani; ed egli non sarà più nelle vostre mani per cadere nei lacci, e voi conoscerete che io sono il Signore. 22 Poiché avete rattristato il cuore del giusto con le menzogne, quando io non lo rattristavo, e avete rafforzato le mani dell’empio, perché non si convertisse dalla sua via malvagia per ottenere la vita, 23 voi non avrete più visioni vane e non praticherete più la divinazione; io libererò il mio popolo dalle vostre mani e voi conoscerete che io sono il Signore”».

1 Und das Wort des HERRN geschah zu mir so: 2 Menschensohn, weissage über die Propheten Israels, die da weissagen, und sage zu denen, ⟨die⟩ aus ihrem ⟨eigenen⟩ Herzen ⟨weissagen⟩: Hört das Wort des HERRN! (Ger 14,14; Ger 23,9; Ez 13,17) 3 So spricht der Herr, HERR: Wehe den törichten^[1] Propheten, die ihrem ⟨eigenen⟩ Geist nachgehen und dem, was sie nicht gesehen haben! 4 Wie Füchse in den Trümmerstätten sind deine Propheten geworden, Israel. (Lam 5,18) 5 In die Risse seid ihr nicht getreten, und die Mauer habt ihr nicht vermauert um das Haus Israel her, um standzuhalten im Kampf am Tag des HERRN. (Ez 22,30; So 2,3) 6 Sie schauen Nichtiges und Lügenwahrsagung, die da sagen: »Ausspruch des HERRN«, obwohl der HERR sie nicht gesandt hat; und ⟨dabei⟩ erwarten sie, dass er ⟨ihr⟩ Wort eintreffen lässt. 7 Habt ihr ⟨da⟩ nicht ein nichtiges Gesicht geschaut, und habt ihr nicht Lügenwahrsagung gesprochen, als ihr sagtet: »Ausspruch des HERRN«, wo ich doch nicht geredet habe? (Ne 6,12; Zac 10,2) 8 Darum, so spricht der Herr, HERR: Weil ihr Nichtiges redet und Lüge schaut, darum, siehe, will ich an euch, ist der Ausspruch des Herrn, HERRN. 9 Und ich werde meine Hand gegen die Propheten ausstrecken^[2], die Nichtiges schauen und Lüge wahrsagen. Im Kreis meines Volkes sollen sie nicht sein, und im Verzeichnis des Hauses Israel werden sie nicht aufgeschrieben sein, und in das Land Israel werden sie nicht kommen. 10 Deshalb, ja deshalb, weil sie mein Volk irreführen und sagen: Friede!, obwohl kein Friede da ist – und baut es eine Wand, siehe, sie bestreichen sie mit Tünche –, (Ger 5,31; Ger 6,14; Ez 22,28) 11 sage zu den Tünchestreichern: Sie soll fallen! Es kommt ein überschwemmender Regen. Und ihr Hagelsteine, ihr werdet fallen, und ein Sturmwind wird ⟨sie⟩ spalten; 12 und siehe, die Mauer fällt. Wird man euch nicht sagen: Wo ist das Getünchte, das ihr getüncht habt? – (Mat 7,27) 13 Darum, so spricht der Herr, HERR: So lasse ich einen Sturmwind losbrechen in meinem Grimm, und ein überschwemmender Regen wird durch meinen Zorn kommen und Hagelsteine durch ⟨meinen⟩ Grimm zur Vernichtung. 14 Und ich breche die Mauer ab, die ihr mit Tünche bestrichen habt, und lasse sie zu Boden stürzen, dass ihr Grund bloßgelegt wird; und sie^[3] soll fallen, und ihr werdet in ihrer^[4] Mitte umkommen. Und weissage gegen sie (Ez 13,2) 18 und sage: So spricht der Herr, HERR: Wehe denen, die Binden zusammennähen^[7] für alle Handgelenke^[8] und Kopfhüllen machen für Köpfe^[9] jedes Wuchses^[10], um Seelen^[11] zu fangen! Seelen wollt ihr fangen bei meinem Volk und ⟨andere⟩ Seelen für euch ⟨selbst⟩ am Leben erhalten?^[12] (2P 2,14) 19 Und ihr entweiht mich bei meinem Volk für ⟨einige⟩ Hände voll Gerste und für ⟨einige⟩ Bissen Brot, indem ihr Seelen^[13] tötet, die nicht sterben sollten, und Seelen^[14] am Leben erhaltet, die nicht leben sollten; indem ihr mein Volk anlügt, das auf Lügen hört! – (Prov 17,15; Prov 28,21; Is 5,20; Ez 22,27; Mi 3,5)

20 Darum, so spricht der Herr, HERR: Siehe, ich will an eure Binden, in denen^[15] ihr die Seelen^[16] wie Vögel^[17] fangt, und will sie von euren Armen wegreißen. Und ich lasse die Seelen^[18] los, die ihr fangt, die Seelen^[19], dass sie wegfliegen. 21 Und ich reiße eure Kopfhüllen weg und rette mein Volk aus eurer Hand, damit sie in eurer Hand nicht mehr zur Jagdbeute werden. Und ihr werdet erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin. 22 Weil ihr das Herz des Gerechten ⟨mit⟩ Lüge verzagt macht, obwohl ich ihm doch keinen Schmerz zugefügt habe, und weil ihr die Hände des Gottlosen stärkt, damit er nicht von seinem bösen Weg umkehrt, sich am Leben zu erhalten, (Ger 23,14; Lam 2,14) 23 darum sollt ihr nicht ⟨mehr⟩ Nichtiges schauen und nicht länger Wahrsagerei treiben. Und ich werde mein Volk aus eurer Hand retten, und ihr werdet erkennen, dass ich der HERR bin. (Ez 12,24; Ez 34,10; Mi 3,6)

1 The word of the Lord came to me: 2 “Son of man, prophesy against the prophets of Israel, who are prophesying, and say to those who prophesy from their own hearts: ‘Hear the word of the Lord!’ (Ger 23,16; Ger 23,26; Ez 2,1; Ez 13,17)

They shall not be in the council of my people, nor be enrolled in the register of the house of Israel, nor shall they enter the land of Israel. And you shall know that I am the Lord God. Will ye hunt the souls of my people, and will ye save the souls alive that come unto you? 19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barley and for pieces of bread, to slay the souls that should not die, and to save the souls alive that should not live, by your lying to my people that hear your lies? 20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against your pillows, wherewith ye there hunt the souls to make them fly, and I will tear them from your arms, and will let the souls go, even the souls that ye hunt to make them fly. 21 Your kerchiefs also will I tear, and deliver my people out of your hand, and they shall be no more in your hand to be hunted; and ye shall know that I am the LORD. 22 Because with lies ye have made the heart of the righteous sad, whom I have not made sad; and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not return from his wicked way, by promising him life: 23 Therefore ye shall see no more vanity, nor divine divinations: for I will deliver my people out of your hand: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.
