1 Der HERR ist König, darum zittern die Völker! Er sitzt auf seinem Thron, der von den Cherubim umgeben ist, deshalb erbebt die Erde! (2Mo 25,22; 1Sam 4,4) 2 Der HERR ist mächtig in Jerusalem[1], er ist hoch erhaben über alle Völker. 3 Sie sollen deinen großen und gewaltigen Namen preisen, denn er ist heilig! (5Mo 28,58; Jos 24,19; 1Sam 2,2) 4 Mächtiger König, weil du Gerechtigkeit liebst, hast du das Recht eingesetzt und hast in ganz Israel[2] Recht und Gerechtigkeit geschaffen. (Ps 17,3) 5 Preist den HERRN, unseren Gott! Fallt vor ihm nieder, denn er ist heilig! 6 Mose und Aaron waren seine Priester, und auch Samuel rief seinen Namen an. Sie riefen zum HERRN um Hilfe, und er antwortete ihnen. (2Mo 15,25; 1Sam 7,9) 7 Er sprach zu ihnen aus der Wolkensäule, und sie befolgten die Vorschriften und Gebote, die er ihnen gab. (2Mo 33,9; 4Mo 12,5) 8 HERR, unser Gott, du hast sie erhört. Gott, du hast deinem Volk vergeben, aber sie auch bestraft, wenn sie Unrecht taten. (4Mo 14,20) 9 Preist den HERRN, unseren Gott, und betet an auf seinem heiligen Berg[3], denn der HERR, unser Gott, ist heilig!

1 The LORD rules. Let the nations tremble. He sits on his throne between the cherubim. Let the earth shake. 2 Great is the LORD in Zion. He is honoured over all the nations. 3 Let them praise his great and wonderful name. He is holy. 4 The King is mighty and loves justice. He has set up the rules for fairness. He has done what is right and fair for the people of Jacob. 5 Honour the LORD our God. Worship at his feet. He is holy. 6 Moses and Aaron were two of his priests. Samuel was one of those who worshipped him. They called out to the LORD. And he answered them. 7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud. They obeyed his laws and the orders he gave them. 8 LORD our God, you answered them. You showed Israel that you are a God who forgives. But when they did wrong, you punished them. 9 Honour the LORD our God. Worship at his holy mountain. The LORD our God is holy.

1 The Lord reigns; let the peoples tremble! He sits enthroned upon the cherubim; let the earth quake! (1Chr 16,31; Ps 80,1; Ps 93,1; Ps 96,9; Jes 24,19) 2 The Lord is great in Zion; he is exalted over all the peoples. (Ps 92,8; Ps 93,4; Ps 113,4; Jes 24,23) 3 Let them praise your great and awesome name! Holy is he! (5Mo 28,58; Jos 24,19; Ps 111,9; Jes 6,3; Offb 15,4) 4 The King in his might loves justice.[1] You have established equity; you have executed justice and righteousness in Jacob. (Hi 36,5; Ps 11,7; Ps 99,1; Jes 61,8) 5 Exalt the Lord our God; worship at his footstool! Holy is he! (2Mo 15,2; 1Chr 28,2; Ps 99,3; Ps 107,32; Ps 118,28; Ps 132,7; Jes 25,1; Jes 60,13; Kla 2,1; Hes 43,7) 6 Moses and Aaron were among his priests, Samuel also was among those who called upon his name.
