Psalm 32

Psalm 32

New International Reader’s Version

von Biblica
1 Blessed is the person whose lawless acts are forgiven. Their sins have been taken away.2 Blessed is the person whose sin the LORD never counts against them. That person doesn’t want to cheat anyone.3 When I kept silent about my sin, my body became weak because I groaned all day long.4 Day and night you punished me. I became weaker and weaker as I do in the heat of summer.5 Then I admitted my sin to you. I didn’t cover up the wrong I had done. I said, ‘I will admit my lawless acts to the LORD.’ And you forgave the guilt of my sin.6 Let everyone who is faithful pray to you while they can still look to you. When troubles come like a flood, they certainly won’t reach those who are faithful.7 You are my hiding place. You will keep me safe from trouble. You will surround me with songs sung by those who praise you because you save your people.8 I will guide you and teach you the way you should go. I will give you good advice and watch over you with love.9 Don’t be like a horse or a mule. They can’t understand anything. They have to be controlled by bits and bridles. If they aren’t, they won’t come to you.10 Sinful people have all kinds of trouble. But the LORD’s faithful love is all around those who trust in him.11 Be glad because of what the LORD has done for you. Be joyful, you who do what is right! Sing, all you whose hearts are honest!

1 A Maskil[1] of David. Blessed is the one whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. (2Mo 34,7; Ps 85,2; Joh 1,29; Röm 4,7)2 Blessed is the man against whom the Lord counts no iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no deceit. (Joh 1,47; 2Kor 5,19)3 For when I kept silent, my bones wasted away through my groaning all day long. (Ps 22,1; Ps 31,10)4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me; my strength was dried up[2] as by the heat of summer. (1Sam 5,6; 1Sam 5,11; Ps 38,2)5 I acknowledged my sin to you, and I did not cover my iniquity; I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord,” and you forgave the iniquity of my sin. (Hi 33,27; Ps 38,18; Ps 51,3; Spr 28,13; Lk 15,18; Lk 15,21; 1Joh 1,9)6 Therefore let everyone who is godly offer prayer to you at a time when you may be found; surely in the rush of great waters, they shall not reach him. (Hi 22,11; Ps 18,4; Ps 18,16; Ps 30,4; Ps 42,7; Ps 69,1; Ps 69,13; Ps 144,7)7 You are a hiding place for me; you preserve me from trouble; you surround me with shouts of deliverance. (2Mo 15,1; Ri 5,1; Ps 9,9; Ps 18,1; Ps 27,5; Ps 31,20; Ps 91,1; Ps 119,114)8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you. (Ps 25,8; Ps 25,12; Ps 73,24)9 Be not like a horse or a mule, without understanding, which must be curbed with bit and bridle, or it will not stay near you. (Hi 35,11; Spr 26,3; Jak 3,3)10 Many are the sorrows of the wicked, but steadfast love surrounds the one who trusts in the Lord. (Ps 34,8; Ps 84,12; Spr 13,21; Spr 16,20; Jer 17,7; Röm 2,9)11 Be glad in the Lord, and rejoice, O righteous, and shout for joy, all you upright in heart! (5Mo 32,43; Ps 7,10; Ps 33,1; Ps 64,10; Ps 68,3; Ps 97,12)
