Halleluja! (Ps 113,2)
Psalm 115
New International Reader’s Version
von Biblica1LORD, may glory be given to you, not to us. You are loving and faithful.2Why do the nations ask, ‘Where is their God?’3Our God is in heaven. He does anything he wants to do.4But the statues of their gods are made out of silver and gold. They are made by human hands.5They have mouths but can’t speak. They have eyes but can’t see.6They have ears but can’t hear. They have noses but can’t smell.7They have hands but can’t feel. They have feet but can’t walk. They have throats but can’t say anything.8Those who make statues of gods will be like them. So will all those who trust in them.9All you Israelites, trust in the LORD. He helps you like a shield that keeps you safe.10Priests of Aaron, trust in the LORD. He helps you like a shield that keeps you safe.11You who have respect for the LORD, trust in him. He helps you like a shield that keeps you safe.12The LORD remembers us and will bless us. He will bless Israel, his people. He will bless the priests of Aaron.13The LORD will bless those who have respect for him. He will bless important and unimportant people alike.14May the LORD give you many children. May he give them to you and to your children after you.15May the LORD bless you. He is the Maker of heaven and earth.16The highest heavens belong to the LORD. But he has given the earth to human beings.17Dead people don’t praise the LORD. Those who lie quietly in the grave don’t praise him.18But we who are alive praise the LORD, both now and for ever. Praise the LORD.
1Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, for the sake of your steadfast love and your faithfulness! (Ps 36,5; Jes 48,11; Hes 36,22; Dan 9,18)2Why should the nations say, “Where is their God?” (2Mo 32,12; 4Mo 14,13; Ps 42,3)3Our God is in the heavens; he does all that he pleases. (Ps 11,4; Ps 135,6; Dan 4,35)4Their idols are silver and gold, the work of human hands. (5Mo 4,28; 2Kön 19,18; Ps 135,15; Jes 37,19; Jes 44,10; Jer 10,3; Apg 19,26)5They have mouths, but do not speak; eyes, but do not see. (Jes 46,7; Hab 2,18)6They have ears, but do not hear; noses, but do not smell.7They have hands, but do not feel; feet, but do not walk; and they do not make a sound in their throat.8Those who make them become like them; so do all who trust in them. (Jes 44,9)9O Israel,[1] trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. (Ps 33,20; Ps 37,3; Ps 62,8; Ps 118,2; Ps 135,19)10O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. (Ps 3,3; Ps 115,9)11You who fear the Lord, trust in the Lord! He is their help and their shield. (Ps 22,23; Ps 103,11; Ps 103,13; Ps 103,17)12The Lord has remembered us; he will bless us; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron; (Ps 118,2; Ps 135,19)13he will bless those who fear the Lord, both the small and the great. (Ps 112,1; Jer 16,6; Jer 31,34)14May the Lord give you increase, you and your children! (5Mo 1,11)15May you be blessed by the Lord, who made heaven and earth! (1Mo 1,1; 1Mo 14,19; Rut 2,20; Ps 121,2; Ps 124,8; Ps 134,3; Ps 146,6; Jer 10,11; Apg 14,15; Offb 14,7)16The heavens are the Lord’s heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of man.17The dead do not praise the Lord, nor do any who go down into silence. (Ps 6,5; Ps 31,17)18But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and forevermore. Praise the Lord! (Ps 104,35; Ps 113,2)
