1‘Build an altar out of acacia wood. It must be 1.5 metres high and 2.5 metres square.2Make a horn stick out from each of its upper four corners. The horns and the altar must be all one piece. Cover the altar with bronze.3Make everything for the altar out of bronze. Make its pots to remove the ashes. Make its shovels, sprinkling bowls, meat forks, and pans for carrying ashes.4Make a bronze grate for the altar. Make a bronze ring for each of the four corners of the grate.5Put the grate halfway up the altar on the inside.6Make poles out of acacia wood for the altar. Cover them with bronze.7Put the poles through the rings. They will be on two sides of the altar for carrying it.8Make the altar out of boards. Leave it hollow. It must look just like what I showed you on the mountain.
The courtyard
9‘Make a courtyard for the holy tent. The south side must be 50 metres long. It must have curtains that are made out of finely twisted linen.10The curtains must be hung on 20 posts that have 20 bronze bases. The posts must have silver hooks and bands on them.11The north side must also be about 50 metres long. It must have curtains with 20 posts that have 20 bronze bases. The posts must have silver hooks and bands on them.12‘The west end of the courtyard must be 25 metres wide. It must have curtains with ten posts that have ten bases.13The east end of the courtyard, towards the sunrise, must also be 25 metres wide.14On one side of the entrance you must put curtains that are 7.5 metres long. Hang them on three posts. Each post must have a base.15On the other side you must also put curtains that are 7.5 metres long. Hang them on three posts. Each post must have a base.16‘For the entrance to the courtyard, provide a curtain 10 metres long. Make it out of blue, purple and bright red yarn and finely twisted linen. Have someone who sews skilfully make it. Hang it on four posts. Each post must have a base.17All the posts that are around the courtyard must have silver bands and hooks. They must also have bronze bases.18The courtyard must be 50 metres long and 25 metres wide. It must have curtains that are made out of finely twisted linen. They must be 2.5 metres high. The posts must have bronze bases.19Make out of bronze all the other things used for any purpose in the holy tent. That includes all the tent stakes for the tent and the courtyard.
Oil for the lampstand
20‘Command the Israelites to bring you clear oil made from pressed olives. Use it to keep the lamps burning and giving light.21Aaron and his sons must keep the lamps burning in the tent of meeting. The lamps will be outside the curtain in front of the tablets of the covenant law. The lamps must be kept burning in front of the LORD from evening until morning. This is a law for the Israelites that will last for all time to come.

Förgården
9-10Du ska göra en förgård till tabernaklet, och förgården ska vara omsluten av förhängen av tvinnat vitt garn. På södra sidan ska förhänget vara femtio meter långt och hållas uppe av tjugo stolpar, som ska passa in i tjugo socklar av koppar. Det ska hänga på stolparna i krokar och band av silver.11På samma sätt ska det vara på den norra sidan, ett femtio meter långt förhänge som hänger på tjugo stolpar på kopparsocklar och med krokar och band av silver.12Västra sidan av förgården ska ha ett förhänge som är tjugofem meter långt med tio stolpar och tio socklar.13Östra sidan ska också vara tjugofem meter.14-15På varje sida om ingången ska förhänget vara sju och en halv meter och hållas uppe av tre stolpar på socklar.16Ingången till förgården ska ha ett förhänge som är tio meter långt och gjort av ett mönstrat tyg med mörkblått, purpurrött, rosenrött och tvinnat vitt garn, fäst vid fyra stolpar på socklar.17Alla stolparna runt förgården ska vara försedda med band och krokar av silver och stå på socklar av koppar.18Hela förgården ska vara femtio meter lång och tjugofem meter bred med en inhägnad gjord av ett två och en halv meter högt förhänge av tvinnat vitt garn.19Alla tillbehör vid arbetet i tabernaklet och alla pluggar till detta och till förgården ska göras av koppar.20Säg till Israels folk att komma med ren olivolja, som kan användas för lamporna i tabernaklet, så att de alltid kan brinna.21Aron och hans söner ska sköta om denna heliga låga dag och natt och placera den utanför det förhänge som hänger framför arken. Detta är en lag som alltid ska gälla för Israel.
