Wegen deiner großen Macht müssen selbst deine Feinde unterwürfig vor dich kommen.[4]4Alle Länder[5] werden sich anbetend vor dir beugen und dir Psalmen singen, ja, deinen Namen werden sie besingen.« //[6] (Ps 3,3)5Kommt und seht, welch große Taten Gott vollbracht hat! Erhaben und erschreckend zugleich ist sein Handeln an den Menschen.6Er verwandelte das Meer in trockenes Land. Trockenen Fußes konnte unser Volk auch den Jordan durchqueren.[7] Dabei freuten wir uns über unseren Gott[8]!7In seiner Macht herrscht er für immer und ewig. Seine Augen blicken wachsam auf die Völker – widerspenstige Menschen sollen es nicht wagen, sich gegen ihn zu erheben! //8Preist, ihr Völker, unseren Gott! Lasst mit lauter Stimme sein Lob erklingen!9Er belebt unsere Seele und bewahrt unsere Füße vor dem Stolpern.[9]10Ja, Gott, du hast uns Prüfungen ausgesetzt, du hast uns geläutert wie Silber ´im Schmelzofen`.11Du hast uns ins Fangnetz geraten lassen, hast drückende Lasten auf unseren Rücken[10] gelegt.12Du hast nichtswürdige Menschen über uns hinwegtrampeln lassen[11] ´wie über besiegte Feinde`. Ins Feuer sind wir geraten, ins Wasser ebenso – aber du hast uns herausgeführt und mit Überfluss beschenkt[12].13Ich will zu deinem Haus kommen mit Tieren für das Brandopfer, ich will dir meine Gelübde erfüllen,14die über meine Lippen kamen, die mein Mund ausgesprochen hat, als ich in Not war.15Masttiere will ich dir zum Brandopfer bringen, Fettstücke von Schafböcken für das Rauchopfer[13]. Rinder und Ziegenböcke will ich für das Opfer zubereiten. //16Kommt und hört mir zu, ihr alle, die ihr Ehrfurcht vor Gott habt!
