Gottes Segen für Israel und für die ganze Welt

1 Für den Dirigenten^[1]. Mit Saiteninstrumenten zu begleiten. Ein Psalm. Ein Lied. (Ps 4,1) 2 Gott schenke uns seine Gnade und seinen Segen. Er wende sich uns freundlich zu und begleite uns mit strahlendem Angesicht.^[2] //^[3] (Ps 3,3) 3 Denn so erkennt man auf der ganzen Erde dein Wirken, o Gott, und alle Völker werden sehen, was du zur Rettung der Menschen tust.^[4] 4 Die Völker sollen dir danken, o Gott, ja, alle Völker mögen dich preisen! 5 Die Nationen sollen sich freuen und dir zujubeln, denn du richtest alle Völker aufrichtig und gerecht. Ja, du leitest alle Nationen auf Erden. // 6 Die Völker sollen dir danken, o Gott, ja, alle Völker mögen dich preisen! 7 Der Erdboden bringt seine Frucht hervor – Gott, unser Gott, wird uns ´mit einer reichen Ernte` segnen. 8 Ja, segnen wird uns Gott, und bis in die fernen Gegenden der Erde werden Menschen Ehrfurcht vor ihm haben^[5].

For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A psalm. A song.

1 May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face shine on us –^[1] 2 so that your ways may be known on earth, your salvation among all nations. 3 May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. 4 May the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you rule the peoples with equity and guide the nations of the earth. 5 May the peoples praise you, God; may all the peoples praise you. 6 The land yields its harvest; God, our God, blesses us. 7 May God bless us still, so that all the ends of the earth will fear him.

1 To the chief Musician on Neginoth, A Psalm or Song. God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; Selah. 2 That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations. 3 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. 4 O let the nations be glad and sing for joy: for thou shalt judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth. Selah. 5 Let the people praise thee, O God; let all the people praise thee. 6 Then shall the earth yield her increase; and God, even our own God, shall bless us. 7 God shall bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear him.
