Aus der Zeit, als Abimelech ihn fortgetrieben hatte, weil David sich vor ihm wahnsinnig gestellt hatte.[1] (Ps 9,1)2Ich will den HERRN preisen zu aller Zeit, immer soll sein Lob auf meinen Lippen sein.3Aus tiefster Seele will ich den HERRN rühmen. Alle, die ihr Leid geduldig ertragen, werden mich hören und sich freuen.4Kommt, wir verkünden gemeinsam, wie groß der HERR ist! Lasst uns miteinander seinen Namen rühmen!5Ich suchte die Nähe des HERRN – und er hat mir geantwortet: Er rettete mich aus aller Angst.6Alle, die zu ihm aufschauen, werden strahlen vor Freude! Nie werden sie beschämt sein.[3]7Als es mir schlecht ging, rief ich zum HERRN. Er hörte mich und befreite mich aus aller Not.[4]8Der Engel des HERRN lässt sich bei denen nieder, die in Ehrfurcht vor Gott leben, er umgibt sie mit seinem Schutz und rettet sie.9Erfahrt es selbst und seht mit eigenen Augen[5], dass der HERR gütig ist! Glücklich zu preisen ist, wer bei ihm Zuflucht sucht.10Die ihr zu Gottes heiligem Volk gehört, begegnet dem HERRN mit Ehrfurcht! Denn wer ihn achtet, der leidet keinen Mangel.11Selbst junge und starke Löwen können ihren Hunger nicht stillen, aber wer die Nähe des HERRN sucht, dem wird nichts Gutes fehlen.12Ihr jungen Leute, kommt und hört mir zu! Ich will euch sagen, was es heißt, in Ehrfurcht vor dem HERRN zu leben.13Wer ´von euch` will Freude am Leben haben? Wer hätte gern ein langes Leben, in dem es ihm gut geht?14´Wenn das dein Wunsch ist`, dann erlaube deinem Mund keine boshaften Reden, verbiete deinen Lippen jedes betrügerische Wort.15Halte dich vom Bösen fern und tu Gutes; setze dich für den Frieden ein und verfolge dieses Ziel mit ganzer Kraft!16Denn der Blick des HERRN ruht freundlich auf denen, die nach seinem Willen leben[6]; er hat ein offenes Ohr für sie, wenn sie um Hilfe rufen.17Mit vernichtendem Blick aber schaut der HERR auf alle, die Böses tun. Er wird sie von der Erde wegnehmen und jede Erinnerung an sie auslöschen.18Die aber nach dem Willen des HERRN leben, rufen zu ihm[7], und er hört sie. Er befreit sie aus all ihrer Not.19Nahe ist der HERR denen, die ein gebrochenes Herz haben. Er rettet alle, die ohne Hoffnung sind.[8]20Wer nach Gottes Willen lebt, der[9] erfährt viel Leid, aber der HERR wird ihn aus allem Unglück befreien.21Er bewahrt alle seine Glieder, nicht ein Knochen soll ihm gebrochen werden.22Wer Gott verachtet, findet durch seine Bosheit den Tod. Und wer die hasst, die nach Gottes Willen leben[10], wird dafür zur Rechenschaft gezogen werden.23Der HERR aber erlöst die Seele derer, die ihm dienen; und wer bei ihm Zuflucht sucht, muss keine Strafe fürchten.

1I will thank the LORD at all times. My lips will always praise him.2I will find my glory in knowing the LORD. Let those who are hurting hear me and be joyful.3Join me in giving glory to the LORD. Let us honour him together.4I looked to the LORD, and he answered me. He saved me from everything I was afraid of.5Those who look to him have joyful faces. They are never covered with shame.6This poor man called out, and the LORD heard him. He saved him out of all his troubles.7The angel of the LORD stands guard around those who have respect for him. And he saves them.8Taste and see that the LORD is good. Blessed is the person who goes to him for safety.9You holy people of God, have respect for the LORD. Those who respect him have everything they need.10The lions may grow weak and hungry. But those who look to the LORD have every good thing they need.11My children, come. Listen to me. I will teach you to have respect for the LORD.12Do you love life and want to see many good days?13Then keep your tongues from speaking evil. Keep your lips from telling lies.14Turn away from evil, and do good. Look for peace, and go after it.15The LORD looks with favour on those who are godly. His ears are open to their cry.16But the LORD doesn’t look with favour on those who do evil. He removes all memory of them from the earth.17Godly people cry out, and the LORD hears them. He saves them from all their troubles.18The LORD is close to those whose hearts have been broken. He saves those whose spirits have been crushed.19The person who does what is right may have many troubles. But the LORD saves him from all of them.20The LORD watches over all his bones. Not one of them will be broken.21Sinners will be killed by their own evil. The enemies of godly people will be judged.22The LORD will save those who serve him. No one who goes to him for safety will be found guilty.

(Joh 19,36)21Affliction will slay the wicked, and those who hate the righteous will be condemned.
