1 SEÑOR, ¡cuánto te amo! Porque eres mi fuerza. 2 El SEÑOR es mi fortaleza, mi roca y mi salvación; mi Dios es la roca en la que me refugio. Él es mi escudo, el poder que me salva. 3 Basta que clame a él para ser librado de todos mis enemigos: ¡Alabado sea el SEÑOR! 4 La muerte me envolvió con sus lazos; y torrentes de maldad se lanzaron poderosos contra mí. 5 El sepulcro me enredó en sus lazos; la misma muerte me clavó su mirada. Atrapado e indefenso, luchaba yo contra las cuerdas que me arrastraban hacia la muerte. 6 En mi angustia clamé al SEÑOR pidiendo ayuda. Y él me escuchó desde su templo; mi clamor llegó a sus oídos. 7 Entonces la tierra tembló y se estremeció, y los cimientos de las montañas se sacudieron y temblaron. ¡Cómo se estremecieron cuando ardió su ira! 8 Humo le salió de la nariz. Espantosas llamas salieron de su boca; lanzaba carbones encendidos. 9 Él abrió los cielos y descendió; bajo sus pies había densas tinieblas. 10 Cabalgando en querubines surcó los cielos sobre las alas del viento. 11 Se envolvió en oscuridad; y ocultó su avance con espesas nubes oscuras. 12 Súbitamente, el esplendor de su presencia rompió de entre las nubes con carbones encendidos y con una granizada. 13 El SEÑOR tronó en los cielos; el Dios que está sobre todos los dioses ha hablado: ¡Qué de granizo! ¡Qué de fuego! 14 Lanzó las tremendas flechas de sus rayos y derrotó a todos mis enemigos. ¡Miren cómo huyen! 15 A causa de tu represión, SEÑOR, las cuencas del mar quedaron a la vista. Sonó tu aliento como trompeta, y las profundidades quedaron desnudas. 16 Desde lo alto extendió su mano, me tomó y me sacó del mar profundo. Me rescató de las aguas profundas. 17 Me liberó de mi recio enemigo, de los que me odiaban; a mí, que estaba indefenso en manos de ellos. 18 El día de mi mayor debilidad, me atacaron; pero el SEÑOR me sostuvo. 19 Me llevó a un sitio seguro, porque en mí se deleita. 20 El SEÑOR me recompensó porque hice lo recto y fui puro, 21 porque yo he cumplido sus mandatos y no he pecado dejando de seguirlo. 22 Mantuve celosamente todas sus leyes; no rechacé ni una sola. 23 Hice cuanto pude por guardarlas todas, y me abstuve de hacer el mal. 24 El SEÑOR me ha recompensado con sus bendiciones conforme a la limpieza de mis manos. 25 SEÑOR, ¡qué fiel eres con los fieles! ¡Que intachable eres con los intachables! 26 Con los puros eres puro, pero hostil con el malvado. 27 Libras a los humildes y condenas a los orgullosos y altivos. 28 Has encendido mi lámpara. Has convertido mis tinieblas en luz. 29 Ahora con tu fuerza puedo escalar cualquier muro, atacar cualquier ejército. 30 ¡Qué grandioso es él! ¡Cuán perfecto en todo! Todas sus promesas se cumplen. Es escudo para todo aquel que tras él se refugia. 31 Porque, ¿quién es Dios sino nuestro SEÑOR? ¿Quién es la roca sino nuestro Dios? 32 Él me llena de fortaleza y me protege por dondequiera que voy. 33 Hace mis pies tan seguros como los de la cabra montés en las laderas. Me lleva a salvo por los riscos. 34 Me prepara para la batalla y me da fuerza para tensar un arco de bronce. 35 Me has dado tu salvación como escudo. Tu mano derecha, SEÑOR, me sostiene; tu bondad me ha engrandecido. 36 Has hecho amplias gradas bajo mis pies para que no resbale. 37 Perseguí a mis enemigos, los alcancé, y no me volví hasta vencerlos a todos. 38 Los aplasté. Ya no pudieron levantarse. Les puse el pie sobre el cuello. 39 Porque tú me has armado con fuerte armadura para la batalla. Mis enemigos tiemblan ante mí y caen derrotados a mis pies. 40 Los hiciste volverse y huir; destruí a cuantos me odiaban. 41 Gritaron pidiendo ayuda, pero nadie se atrevió a rescatarlos; clamaron al SEÑOR, pero él se negó a responderles. 42 De modo que los hice polvo y los lancé al viento. Los arrojé como basura del piso. 43 Me diste la victoria en toda batalla. Vinieron las naciones y me sirvieron. Hasta los que yo no conocía vinieron a postrarse ante mí. 44 Extranjeros que nunca me han visto se someten al instante. 45 Temblorosos de miedo salen de sus fortalezas. 46 ¡Dios vive! Alaben al que es mi gran roca. ¡Exaltado sea Dios mi Salvador! 47 Es el Dios que castiga a quienes me dañan y somete a las naciones ante mí. 48 Él me rescata de mis enemigos. Me exalta sobre ellos. Me guarda de tan poderosos adversarios. 49 Por eso, SEÑOR, te alabaré entre las naciones. 50 Muchas veces me has librado milagrosamente, a mí, el rey que has elegido. Has sido amoroso y bueno para conmigo y lo serás para con mis descendientes.

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, the servant of the Lord, who addressed the words of this song to the Lord on the day when the Lord delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul. He said: I love you, O Lord, my strength. (Ex 15:1; Dt 31:30; 2 S 3:18; 2 S 7:5; Sal 36:1; Sal 89:3; Sal 89:20) 2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. (Gn 15:1; Sal 9:9; Sal 18:30; Sal 18:31; Sal 18:46; Sal 19:14; Sal 31:3; Sal 91:2; Sal 112:9; Sal 144:2; Lc 1:69; Heb 2:13) 3 I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, and I am saved from my enemies. (Sal 142:6) 18 They confronted me in the day of my calamity, but the Lord was my support. 19 He brought me out into a broad place; he rescued me, because he delighted in me. (Gn 17:1; 1 R 14:8) 24 So the Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight. 25 With the merciful you show yourself merciful; with the blameless man you show yourself blameless; (Mt 5:7) 26 with the purified you show yourself pure; and with the crooked you make yourself seem tortuous. (Lv 26:23; Sal 81:12; Pr 3:34; Hch 7:42; Ro 1:28) 27 For you save a humble people, but the haughty eyes you bring down. (Ex 3:7; Sal 101:5) 28 For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness. (2 S 5:6; Is 35:6) 30 This God—his way is perfect;[4] the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him. And who is a rock, except our God?— (Sal 18:2; Sal 86:8) 32 the God who equipped me with strength and made my way blameless. (1 S 2:4; Job 22:3; Sal 101:2; Sal 101:6; Sal 119:1; Is 45:5) 33 He made my feet like the feet of a deer and set me secure on the heights. (Dt 32:13; Is 58:14; Hab 3:19) 34 He trains my hands for war, so that my arms can bend a bow of bronze. (Sal 144:1) 35 You have given me the shield of your salvation, and your right hand supported me, and your gentleness made me great. (Sal 20:2; Is 63:9) 36 You gave a wide place for my steps under me, and my feet did not slip. (Sal 18:19; Sal 31:8; Pr 4:12) 37 I pursued my enemies and overtook them, and did not turn back till they were consumed. 38 I thrust them through, so that they were not able to rise; they fell under my feet. 39 For you equipped me with strength for the battle; you made those who rise against me sink under me. 40 You made my enemies turn their backs to me,[5] and those who hated me I destroyed. (Ex 23:27; Sal 21:12) 41 They cried for help, but there was none to save; they cried to the Lord, but he did not answer them. (Job 27:9) 42 I beat them fine as dust before the wind; I cast them out like the mire of the streets. (2 R 13:7; Is 10:6; Miq 7:10; Zac 10:5) 43 You delivered me from strife with the people; you made me the head of the nations; people whom I had not known served me. (Sal 18:44; Miq 7:17) 46 The Lord lives, and blessed be my rock, and exalted be the God of my salvation— 47 the God who gave me vengeance and subdued peoples under me, (Sal 47:3; Sal 144:2; Is 45:1) 48 who rescued me from my enemies; yes, you exalted me above those who rose against me; you delivered me from the man of violence. (Sal 59:1; Sal 140:1) 49 For this I will praise you, O Lord, among the nations, and sing to your name.
