1El año que Sargón, rey de Asiria, envió al comandante en jefe de su ejército contra la ciudad filistea de Asdod y la tomó,2el SEÑOR ordenó a Isaías, hijo de Amoz, que se quitara la ropa, inclusive los zapatos, y anduviera desnudo y descalzo. E Isaías hizo como se le mandó.3Entonces el SEÑOR dijo: Mi siervo Isaías, que durante estos tres años ha andado desnudo y descalzo, es símbolo de la tremenda tribulación que traeré sobre Egipto y Etiopía.4Porque el rey de Asiria se llevará cautivos a los egipcios y etíopes, obligándolos a andar desnudos y descalzos, tanto a jóvenes como a ancianos, con las nalgas al viento para vergüenza de Egipto.5-6¡Y qué turbación la de los filisteos que confiaban en el«poder de Etiopía», y en su«glorioso aliado» Egipto! Y dirán: «Si esto le ocurre a Egipto, ¿qué será de nosotros?».

(Is 19:4)5Then they shall be dismayed and ashamed because of Cush their hope and of Egypt their boast. (Is 30:3; Is 30:5; Is 37:9)6And the inhabitants of this coastland will say in that day, ‘Behold, this is what has happened to those in whom we hoped and to whom we fled for help to be delivered from the king of Assyria!
