1 وَهَذِهِ هِيَ الْبَرَكَةُ الَّتِي بَارَكَ بِها مُوسَى، رَجُلُ اللهِ، بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ قَبْلَ مَوْتِهِ، 2 فَقَالَ: «أَقْبَلَ الرَّبُّ مِنْ سِينَاءَ، وَأَشْرَفَ عَلَيْهِمْ مِنْ سَعِيرَ، وَتَأَلَّقَ فِي جَبَلِ فَارَانَ؛ جَاءَ مُحَاطاً بِعَشَرَاتِ الأُلُوفِ مِنَ الْمَلائِكَةِ وَعَنْ يَمِينِهِ يُوْمِضُ بَرْقٌ عَلَيْهِمْ. 3 حَقّاً إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الَّذِي أَحْبَبْتَ الشَّعْبَ؛ وَجَمِيعُ الْقِدِّيسِينَ فِي يَدِكَ، سَاجِدُونَ عِنْدَ قَدَمَيْكَ يَتَلَقَّوْنَ مِنْكَ أَقْوَالَكَ، 4 الَّتِي تَشْتَمِلُ عَلَيْهَا الشَّرِيعَةُ الَّتِي أَوْصَانَا بِها مُوسَى، لِتَكُونَ مِيرَاثاً لِجَمَاعَةِ يَعْقُوبَ. 5 صَارَ الرَّبُّ مَلِكاً لِشَعْبِهِ حِينَ اجْتَمَعَ رُؤَسَاءُ أَسْبَاطِ إِسْرَائِيلَ مَعاً. 6 لِيَحْيَ رَأُوبَيْنُ وَلا يَمُتْ، وَلْيَتَكَاثَرْ رِجَالُهُ». 7 وَقَالَ عَنْ يَهُوذَا: «اسْمَعْ يَا رَبُّ دُعَاءَ يَهُوذَا، وَاجْمَعْ شَمْلَهُ بِقَوْمِهِ، فَإِنَّهُ بِيَدَيْهِ يُدَافِعُ عَنْ قَضِيَّتِهِ فَأَعِنْهُ عَلَى أَعْدَائِهِ». 8 وَقَالَ عَنْ سِبْطِ لاوِي: «لَقَدْ أَعْطَيْتَ يَا رَبُّ تُمِّيمَكَ وَأُورِيمَكَ لِرَجُلِكَ الَّذِي جَرَّبْتَهُ وَامْتَحَنْتَهُ فِي مَسَّةَ، وَخَاصَمْتَهُ عِنْدَ مَاءِ مَرِيبَةَ. 9 الَّذِي قَالَ عَنْ وَالِدَيْهِ: لَمْ أَرَهُمَا، وَبِإِخْوَتِهِ لَمْ يَعْتَرِفْ، وَأَنْكَرَ أَبْنَاءَهُ، بَلْ أَطَاعُوا وَصَايَاكَ وَصَانُوا عَهْدَكَ. 10 هُمْ يُعَلِّمُونَ يَعْقُوبَ أَحْكَامَكَ وَبَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ شَرِيعَتَكَ، يُحْرِقُونَ بَخُوراً أَمَامَ أَنْفِكَ وَقَرَابِينَ عَلَى مَذْبَحِكَ 11 بَارِكْ يَا رَبُّ مَهَارَاتِهِمْ وَاغْتَبِطْ بِعَمَلِ أَيْدِيهِمْ. حَطِّمْ مُتُونَ مُقَاوِمِيهِمْ وَمُبْغِضِيهِمْ فَلا تَقُومَ لَهُمْ قَائِمَةٌ». 12 وَقَالَ عَنْ سِبْطِ بِنْيَامِينَ: «إِنَّهُ حَبِيبُ الرَّبِّ، يَسْكُنُ لَدَيْهِ آمِناً، يَصُونُهُ طُولَ النَّهَارِ، وَبَيْنَ مِنْكَبَيْهِ يَسْكُنُ مُطْمَئِنّاً». 13 وَقَالَ عَنْ سِبْطِ يُوسُفَ: «لِيُبَارِكِ الرَّبُّ أَرْضَهُ بِنَفَائِسِ قَطَرَاتِ نَدَى السَّمَاءِ، وَبِلُجَجِ الْمِيَاهِ الْغَائِرَةِ مِنْ تَحْتُ، 14 وَبِخَيْرِ مَا تُنْمِيهِ الشَّمْسُ وَمَا تُغِلُّهُ الأَقْمَارُ، 15 وَبِأَنْفَسِ مَا تَدَّخِرُهُ الْجِبَالُ الْقَدِيمَةُ، وَبِأَثْمَنِ كُنُوزِ التِّلالِ الأَبَدِيَّةِ، 16 وَبِأَفْضَلِ خَيْرَاتِ الأَرْضِ وَبَرَكَاتِهَا، وَبِرِضَى السَّاكِنِ فِي الْعُلَّيْقَةِ. فَلْتَنْسَكِبْ هَذِهِ جَمِيعُهَا عَلَى رَأْسِ يُوسُفَ، عَلَى جَبِينِ الأَمِيرِ بَيْنَ إِخْوَتِهِ. 17 فَهُوَ فِي جَلالِهِ كَالثَّوْرِ الْبِكْرِ، وَقَرْنَاهُ مِثْلُ قَرْنَيْ ثَوْرٍ وَحْشِيٍّ، يَنْطَحُ بِهِمَا الشُّعُوبَ، حَتَّى أُولَئِكَ الْمُقِيمِينَ فِي أَقَاصِي الأَرْضِ. لِتَكُنْ هَكَذَا عَشَرَاتُ أُلُوفِ أَفْرَايِمَ، لِتَكُنْ هَكَذَا أُلُوفُ مَنَسَّى». 18 وَقَالَ عَنْ سِبْطَيْ زَبُولُونَ وَيَسَّاكَرَ: «افْرَحْ يَا زَبُولُونُ بِخُرُوجِكَ، وَأَنْتَ يَا يَسَّاكَرُ بِخِيَامِكَ، 19 فَإِنَّهُمَا يَدْعُوَانِ الشَّعْبَ إِلَى الْجَبَلِ حَيْثُ يُقَرِّبَانِ مُحْرَقَاتِ الْبِرِّ، لأَنَّهُمَا يَشْبَعَانِ مِنْ خَيْرَاتِ الْبِحَارِ، وَمِنَ الذَّخَائِرِ الْكَامِنَةِ فِي الرَّمْلِ». 20 وَقَالَ عَنْ سِبْطِ جَادٍ: «لِتَحِلَّ الْبَرَكَةُ عَلَى مَنْ وَسَّعَ تُخُومَ جَادٍ حَيْثُ يَرْبِضُ جَادٌ هُنَاكَ كَالأَسَدِ، يَفْتَرِسُ الذِّرَاعَ مَعَ قِمَّةِ الرَّأْسِ. 21 اخْتَارَ خَيْرَ الأَرْضِ لِنَفْسِهِ، وَاحْتَفَظَ لِنَفْسِهِ بِنَصِيبِ الْقَائِدِ: وَعِنْدَمَا اجْتَمَعَ شُيُوخُ الشَّعْبِ أَجْرَى حَقَّ الرَّبِّ الْعَادِلِ وَأَحْكَامَهُ مَعَ إِسْرَائِيلَ». 22 وَقَالَ عَنْ سِبْطِ دَانٍ: «دَانٌ مِثْلُ شِبْلِ أَسَدٍ يَنْقَضُّ مِنْ بَاشَانَ». 23 وَقَالَ عَنْ سِبْطِ نَفْتَالِي: «اشْبَعْ يَا نَفْتَالِي رِضًى، وَامْتَلِئْ بَرَكَةً مِنَ الرَّبِّ، وَامْلِكْ سَاحِلَ الْبَحْرِ الْمُتَوَسِّطِ وَالنَّقَبِ». 24 وَقَالَ عَنْ سِبْطِ أَشِيرَ: «أَشِيرُ الابْنُ الأَكْثَرُ مُبَارَكَةً. فَلْيَكُنْ صَاحِبَ حُظْوَةٍ عِنْدَ إِخْوَتِهِ، وَلْيَغْمِسْ فِي الزَّيْتِ قَدَمَيْهِ. 25 وَلْتَكُنْ مَزَالِيجُ أَبْوَابِكَ مِنْ حَدِيدٍ وَنُحَاسٍ، وَلْتُعَادِلْ قُوَّتُكَ امْتِدَادَ أَيَّامِكَ. 26 لَيْسَ نَظِيرَ الرَّبِّ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ يَمْتَطِي السَّمَاءَ لِمَعُونَتِكُمْ وَالْغَمَامَ فِي عَظَمَتِهِ، 27 فَالإِلَهُ الأَبَدِيُّ هُوَ مَلْجَأُكُمْ، وَتَحْتَكُمْ تَنْبَسِطُ الأَذْرُعُ الأَبَدِيَّةُ، يَطْرُدُ أَمَامَكُمْ أَعْدَاءَكُمْ قَائِلاً: أَهْلِكُوهُمْ. 28 لِيَسْكُنْ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ آمِنِينَ وَحْدَهُمْ، وَلْتَجْرِ يَنَابِيعُ مَاءِ يَعْقُوبَ إِلَى أَرْضِ قَمْحٍ وَخَمْرٍ، وَتَقْطُرْ سَمَاؤُهُ بِالنَّدَى. 29 طُوبَاكُمْ يَا بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ، أَيُّ شَعْبٍ مِثْلُكُمْ مُنْتَصِرٌ بِالرَّبِّ؟ إِنَّهُ تُرْسُكُمْ وَعَوْنُكُمْ وَسَيْفُكُمُ الْمَجِيدُ. لَكُمْ يَخْضَعُ أَعْدَاؤُكُمْ، وَأَنْتُمْ تَطَأُونَ مُرْتَفَعَاتِهِمْ».

Benedizione profetica di Mosè

1 Questa è la benedizione con la quale Mosè, uomo di Dio, benedisse i figli d’Israele prima di morire. 2 Disse dunque: «Il Signore è venuto dal Sinai, è spuntato per loro dal Seir, ha sparso la sua luce dal monte di Paran, è venuto dalle miriadi sante; dalla sua destra usciva il fuoco della legge per loro. 3 Certo, il Signore ama i popoli; tutti i suoi santi sono nella tua mano. Il Signore gli farà sempre riparo ed egli riposerà tra le sue colline». 13 Poi disse di Giuseppe: «Il suo paese sarà benedetto dal Signore con i doni più preziosi del cielo; con la rugiada, con le acque profonde dell’abisso, 14 con i frutti più preziosi che il sole matura, con quanto di meglio germoglia ogni luna, 15 con i migliori prodotti dei monti antichi, con i doni più preziosi dei colli secolari, con i doni più preziosi della terra e di quanto essa racchiude. 16 Il favore di colui che stava nel pruno^[4] venga sul capo di Giuseppe, sulla fronte di colui che è principe tra i suoi fratelli! 17 Del suo bue primogenito egli ha la maestà; le sue corna sono corna di bufalo. Con esse cozzerà contro i popoli tutti quanti insieme, fino alle estremità della terra. Tali sono le miriadi di Efraim, tali sono le migliaia di Manasse». 18 Poi disse di Zabulon: «Rallègrati, Zabulon, nel tuo uscire, e tu, Issacar, nelle tue tende! 19 Essi chiameranno i popoli al monte, e là offriranno sacrifici di giustizia; poiché essi succhieranno l’abbondanza del mare e i tesori nascosti nella sabbia». 20 Poi disse di Gad: «Benedetto colui che mette Gad al largo!
