موت موسى

1 وَارْتَقَى مُوسَى جَبَلَ نَبُو إِلَى قِمَّةِ الْفِسْجَةِ مِنْ سُهُولِ مُوآبَ الْمُقَابِلَةِ لأَرِيحَا، فَأَرَاهُ الرَّبُّ جَمِيعَ الأَرْضِ مِنْ جِلْعَادَ إِلَى دَانٍ، 2 وَأَيْضاً أَرَاضِي نَفْتَالِي وَأَفْرَايِمَ وَمَنَسَّى وَسَائِرَ أَرْضِ يَهُوذَا الْمُمْتَدَّةِ إِلَى الْبَحْرِ الْمُتَوَسِّطِ غَرْباً. 3 وَكَذَلِكَ النَّقَبَ فِي الْجَنُوبِ، وَوَادِي نَهْرِ الأُرْدُنِّ، وَأَرِيحَا مَدِينَةَ النَّخِيلِ حَتَّى صُوغَرَ. 4 وَقَالَ لَهُ الرَّبُّ: «هَذِهِ هِيَ الأَرْضُ الَّتِي أَقْسَمْتُ لإِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ أَنَّنِي سَأَهَبُهَا لِذُرِّيَّتِهِمْ. قَدْ جَعَلْتُكَ تَرَاهَا بِعَيْنَيْكَ وَلَكِنَّكَ إِلَيْهَا لَنْ تَعْبُرَ». 5 فَمَاتَ مُوسَى عَبْدُ الرَّبِّ فِي أَرْضِ مُوآبَ بِمُوْجِبِ قَوْلِ الرَّبِّ. 6 وَدَفَنَهُ فِي الْوَادِي فِي أَرْضِ مُوآبَ، مُقَابِلَ بَيْتِ فَغُورَ. وَلَمْ يَعْرِفْ أَحَدٌ قَبْرَهُ إِلَى هَذَا الْيَوْمِ. 7 وَكَانَ مُوسَى قَدْ بَلَغَ مِنَ الْعُمْرِ مِئَةً وَعِشْرِينَ سَنَةً حِينَ مَاتَ، لَمْ يَكِلَّ بَصَرُهُ وَلا غَاضَتْ نَضَارَتُهُ. 8 وَنَاحَ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ عَلَى مُوسَى فِي سُهُولِ مُوآبَ طَوَالَ ثَلاثِينَ يَوْماً. 9 وَكَانَ يَشُوعُ بْنُ نُونٍ قَدِ امْتَلَأَ رُوحَ حِكْمَةٍ بَعْدَ أَنْ وَضَعَ مُوسَى يَدَيْهِ عَلَيْهِ، فَأَطَاعَهُ بَنُو إِسْرَائِيلَ وَعَمِلُوا بِمُقْتَضَى مَا أَوْصَى بِهِ الرَّبُّ مُوسَى. 10 وَلَمْ يَظْهَرْ بَعْدُ نَبِيٌّ فِي بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِثْلُ مُوسَى، الَّذِي خَاطَبَهُ الرَّبُّ وَجْهاً لِوَجْهٍ 11 وَأَقَامَهُ لِيُجْرِيَ جَمِيعَ الآيَاتِ وَالْمُعْجِزَاتِ فِى دِيَارِ مِصْرَ، عَلَى فِرْعَوْنَ وَعَلَى جَمِيعِ عَبِيدِهِ. 12 إِذْ لَمْ يَسْتَطِعْ أَحَدٌ أَنْ يَصْنَعَ الْعَظَائِمَ الْمُخِيفَةَ بِقُدْرَةٍ فَائِقَةٍ كَمَا فَعَلَ مُوسَى أَمَامَ كُلِّ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ.

Morte di Mosè

1 Poi Mosè salì dalle pianure di Moab sul monte Nebo, in vetta al Pisga, che è di fronte a Gerico. E il Signore gli fece vedere tutto il paese: Galaad fino a Dan, 2 tutto Neftali, il paese di Efraim e di Manasse, tutto il paese di Giuda fino al mare occidentale, 3 la regione meridionale, il bacino del Giordano e la valle di Gerico, città delle palme, fino a Soar. 4 Il Signore gli disse: «Questo è il paese riguardo al quale io feci ad Abraamo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe, questo giuramento: “Io lo darò ai tuoi discendenti”. Te l’ho fatto vedere con i tuoi occhi, ma tu non vi entrerai». 5 Mosè, servo del Signore, morì là nel paese di Moab, come il Signore aveva comandato. 6 E il Signore lo seppellì nella valle, nel paese di Moab, di fronte a Bet-Peor; e nessuno fino a oggi ha mai saputo dov’è la sua tomba. 7 Mosè aveva centovent’anni quando morì; la vista non gli si era indebolita e il vigore non gli era venuto meno. 8 I figli d’Israele lo piansero nelle pianure di Moab per trenta giorni; si compirono così i giorni del pianto per il lutto per Mosè. 9 Giosuè, figlio di Nun, fu pieno dello Spirito di sapienza, perché Mosè aveva imposto le mani sul suo capo; e i figli d’Israele gli ubbidirono e fecero quello che il Signore aveva comandato a Mosè. 10 Non c’è mai più stato in Israele un profeta simile a Mosè, con il quale il Signore abbia trattato faccia a faccia. 11 Nessuno è stato simile a lui in tutti quei segni e miracoli che il Signore lo mandò a fare nel paese d’Egitto contro il faraone, contro tutti i suoi servi e contro tutto il suo paese; 12 né simile a lui in quegli atti potenti e in tutte quelle grandi cose tremende che Mosè fece davanti agli occhi di tutto Israele.

The Death of Moses

1 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. 4 And the LORD said to him, “This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.” (تك 12:7; تك 50:24; تث 1:37; تث 3:27; تث 32:52)

5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD, 6 and he buried him in the valley in the land of Moab opposite Beth-peor; but no one knows the place of his burial to this day. 8 And the people of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. Then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended. (تك 50:3; عد 20:29) 9 And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him. So the people of Israel obeyed him and did as the LORD had commanded Moses.
