1 وَهَذِهِ هِيَ نُصُوصُ الْعَهْدِ الَّذِي أَمَرَ الرَّبُّ مُوسَى بِأَنْ يُبْرِمَهُ مَعَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ فِي سُهُولِ مُوآبَ، فَضْلاً عَنِ الْعَهْدِ الَّذِي قَطَعَهُ مَعَهُمْ فِي حُورِيبَ. 2 اسْتَدْعَى مُوسَى جَمِيعَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ وَقَالَ لَهُمْ: لَقَدْ شَاهَدْتُمْ بِأَعْيُنِكُمْ مَا أَجْرَاهُ الرَّبُّ فِي دِيَارِ مِصْرَ بِفِرْعَوْنَ وَسَائِرِ عَبِيدِهِ وَبِكُلِّ أَرْضِهِ. 3 بِأَعْيُنِكُمْ أَبْصَرْتُمْ تِلْكَ التَّجَارِبَ الْهَائِلَةَ وَالآيَاتِ وَالْعَجَائِبَ الْعَظِيمَةَ. 4 وَلَكِنَّ الرَّبَّ لَمْ يُعْطِكُمْ حَتَّى الآنَ قُلُوباً لِتَعُوا وَعُيُوناً لِتُبْصِرُوا وَآذَاناً لِتَسْمَعُوا. 5 لَقَدْ قُدْتُكُمْ فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ أَرْبَعِينَ سَنَةً، لَمْ تَبْلَ فِيهَا ثِيَابُكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ، وَلَمْ تَهْتَرِئْ نِعَالُكُمْ عَلَى أَرْجُلِكُمْ. 6 لَمْ تَأْكُلُوا فِي خِلالِهَا خُبْزاً وَلَمْ تَشْرَبُوا خَمْراً أَوْ مُسْكِراً لَكِنِّي أَشْبَعْتُكُمْ بِمَا وَفَّرْتُهُ لَكُمْ مِنْ طَعَامٍ وَمَاءٍ، لِكَيْ تَعْلَمُوا أَنِّي أَنَا الرَّبُّ إِلَهُكُمْ. 7 وَعِنْدَمَا بَلَغْتُمْ هَذَا الْمَوْضِعَ تَأَهَّبَ سِيحُونُ مَلِكُ حَشْبُونَ وَعُوجُ مَلِكُ بَاشَانَ لِحَرْبِنَا، فَدَحَرْنَاهُمَا 8 وَاسْتَوْلَيْنَا عَلَى أَرْضِهِمَا، وَقَسَمْنَاهَا عَلَى سِبْطَيْ رَأُوبَيْنَ وَجَادٍ وَنِصْفِ سِبْطِ مَنَسَّى. 9 فَأَطِيعُوا نُصُوصَ هَذَا الْعَهْدِ وَاعْمَلُوا بِها، لِتُفْلِحُوا فِي كُلِّ مَا تَصْنَعُونَهُ. 10 أَنْتُمْ مَاثِلُونَ الْيَوْمَ جَمِيعُكُمْ فِي حَضْرَةِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ: رُؤَسَاؤُكُمْ وَقَادَةُ أَسْبَاطِكُمْ وَعُرَفَاؤُكُمْ وَسَائِرُ رِجَالِ إِسْرَائِيلَ، 11 وَأَطْفَالُكُمْ وَنِسَاؤُكُمْ، وَالْغُرَبَاءُ الْمُقِيمُونَ فِى وَسَطِكُمْ، مِمَّنْ يَحْتَطِبُ لَكُمْ وَيَسْتَقِي لَكُمْ مَاءَكُمْ، 12 لِتَدْخُلُوا فِي عَهْدِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِكُمْ وَقَسَمِهِ الَّذِي يُبْرِمُهُ الرَّبُّ مَعَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ، 13 وَلِيُثَبِّتَكُمُ الْيَوْمَ لِنَفْسِهِ شَعْباً، فَيَكُونُ لَكُمْ إِلَهاً كَمَا وَعَدَكُمْ وَكَمَا حَلَفَ لِآبَائِكُمْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ وَإِسْحَاقَ وَيَعْقُوبَ. 14 وَلَسْتٌ أَقْطَعُ هَذَا الْعَهْدَ وَهَذَا الْقَسَمَ مَعَكُمْ وَحْدَكُمْ، 15 بَلْ فَضْلاً عَنْكُمْ أَنْتُمُ الْمَاثِلِينَ الْيَوْمَ أَمَامَ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا، فَإِنَّنِي أُبْرِمُهُ أَيْضاً مَعَ الأَجْيَالِ الْقَادِمَةِ. 16 لأَنَّكُمْ قَدْ عَرَفْتُمْ كَيْفَ أَقَمْنَا فِي دِيَارِ مِصْرَ، وَكَيْفَ جُزْنَا فِيمَا بَيْنَ الأُمَمِ الَّذِينَ عَبَرْتُمْ بِهِمْ، 17 وَشَهِدْتُمْ أَرجَاسَهُمْ وَمَا لَدَيْهِمْ مِنْ أَصْنَامٍ مَصْنُوعَةٍ مِنْ خَشَبٍ وَحَجَرٍ وَفِضَّةٍ وَذَهَبٍ، 18 لِئَلّا يَكُونَ بَيْنَكُمْ رَجُلٌ أَوِ امْرَأَةٌ أَوْ عَشِيرَةٌ أَوْ سِبْطٌ مَالَ قَلْبُهُ عَنِ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا، فَغَوَى لِيَعْبُدَ آلِهَةَ تِلْكَ الأَمَمِ. فَاحْرِصُوا أَلّا يَكُونَ بَيْنَكُمْ مَنْ تَأَصَّلَ فِيهِ الشَّرُّ، فَيَحْمِلَ ثَمَراً عَلْقَماً سَامّاً. 19 فَإِنْ سَمِعَ كَلامَ هَذَا الْقَسَمِ يَسْتَمْطِرُ بَرَكَةً عَلَى نَفْسِهِ قَائِلاً: «سَأَكُونُ آمِناً حَتَّى وَلَوْ أَصْرَرْتُ عَلَى الاسْتِمْرَارِ فِى سُلُوكِ طَرِيقِي». إِنَّ هَذَا يُفْضِي إِلَى فَنَاءِ الأَخْضَرِ وَاليَابِسِ عَلَى حَدٍّ سَوَاءٍ. 20 إِنَّ الرَّبَّ لَا يَشَاءُ الرِّفْقَ بِمِثْلِ هَذَا الإِنْسَانِ، بَلْ يَحْتَدِمُ غَضَبُهُ وَغَيْرَتُهُ عَلَيْهِ، فَتَنْزِلُ بِهِ كُلُّ اللَّعْنَاتِ الْمُدَوَّنَةِ فِي هَذَا الْكِتَابِ، وَيَمْحُو اسْمَهُ مِنْ تَحْتِ السَّمَاءِ. 21 وَيُفْرِزُهُ الرَّبُّ مِنْ بَيْنِ أَسْبَاطِ إِسْرَائِيلَ لِيُهْلِكَهُ بِمُقْتَضَى جَمِيعِ لَعْنَاتِ الْعَهْدِ الْمُدَوَّنَةِ فِي كِتَابِ الشَّرِيعَةِ هَذَا. 22 فَيُشَاهِدُ أَبْنَاؤُكُمْ مِنَ الأَجْيَالِ الْقَادِمَةِ، وَالْغُرَبَاءُ الْوَافِدُونَ مِنْ أَرْضٍ بَعِيدَةٍ بَلايَا تِلْكَ الأَرْضِ وَمَا يُصِيبُهَا الرَّبُّ بِهِ مِنْ أَمْرَاضٍ، 23 إِذْ تُصْبِحُ جَمِيعُ الأَرْضِ كِبْرِيتاً، مُحْتَرِقَةً لَا زَرْعَ فِيهَا وَلا نَبَاتَ وَلا عُشْبَ، وَكَأَنَّهَا انْقَلَبَتْ كَمَا جَرَى لِسَدُومَ وَعَمُورَةَ وَأَدْمَةَ وَصَبُوِييمَ، الَّتِي قَلَبَهَا الرَّبُّ مِنْ جَرَّاءِ غَضَبِهِ وَسَخَطِهِ. 24 فَتَقُولُ جَمِيعُ الأَمَمِ: لِمَاذَا فَعَلَ الرَّبُّ هَذَا كُلَّهُ بِهَذِهِ الأَرْضِ؟ وَلِمَاذَا احْتِدَامُ هَذَا الْغَضَبِ الْعَظِيمِ؟ 25 فَيَكُونُ الْجَوَابُ: لأَنَّ هَذَا الشَّعْبَ نَقَضَ عَهْدَ الرَّبِّ إِلَهِ آبَائِهِمِ الَّذِي قَطَعَهُ مَعَهُمْ حِينَ أَخْرَجَهُمْ مِنْ دِيَارِ مِصْرَ، 26 وَغَوَوْا وَعَبَدُوا آلِهَةً أُخْرَى وَسَجَدُوا لَهَا، آلِهَةً غَرِيبَةً لَمْ يَعْرِفُوهَا وَلَمْ يُعْطِهَا الرَّبُّ لَهُمْ، 27 فَالْتَهَبَ غَضَبُ الرَّبِّ عَلَى تِلْكَ الأَرْضِ، فَصَبَّ عَلَيْهَا كُلَّ اللَّعْنَاتِ الْمُدَوَّنَةِ فِى هَذَا الْكِتَابِ 28 وَاجْتَثَّهُمْ مِنْ أَرْضِهِمْ بِغَضَبٍ وَسَخَطٍ وَغَيْظٍ عَظِيمٍ، وَطَوَّحَ بِهِمْ إِلَى أَرْضٍ أُخْرَى كَمَا هُوَ حَادِثٌ الْيَوْمَ. 29 إِنَّ السَّرَائِرَ لِلرَّبِّ إِلَهِنَا، أَمَّا الْوَصَايَا الْمُعْلَنَةُ فَهِيَ لَنَا ولأَبْنَائِنَا إِلَى الأَبَدِ، لِنَعْمَلَ بِجَمِيعِ كَلِمَاتِ هَذِهِ الشَّرِيعَةِ.

1 Mosè convocò dunque tutto Israele e disse loro: «Voi avete visto tutto quello che il Signore ha fatto sotto i vostri occhi, nel paese d’Egitto, al faraone, a tutti i suoi servitori e a tutto il suo paese; 2 i tuoi occhi hanno visto le grandi calamità con le quali furono provati, quei miracoli, quei grandi prodigi; 3 ma, fino a questo giorno, il Signore non vi ha dato un cuore per comprendere, né occhi per vedere, né orecchi per udire. 4 Io vi ho condotti quarant’anni nel deserto; le vostre vesti non vi si sono logorate addosso, né i vostri calzari vi si sono logorati ai piedi. 5 Non avete mangiato pane, non avete bevuto vino né altre bevande alcoliche. Tutto questo affinché conosceste che io sono il Signore, il vostro Dio. 6 Quando siete arrivati in questo luogo e Sicon, re di Chesbon, e Og, re di Basan, sono usciti contro di noi per combattere, noi li abbiamo sconfitti, 7 abbiamo preso il loro paese e lo abbiamo dato come proprietà ai Rubeniti, ai Gaditi e alla mezza tribù di Manasse. 8 Osservate dunque le parole di questo patto e mettetele in pratica, affinché prosperiate in tutto ciò che farete. 9 Oggi voi comparite tutti davanti al Signore vostro Dio: i vostri capi, le vostre tribù, i vostri anziani, i vostri ufficiali, tutti gli uomini d’Israele, 10 i vostri bambini, le vostre mogli, lo straniero che è nel tuo accampamento, da colui che ti spacca la legna a colui che attinge l’acqua per te. 11 Voi comparite per entrare nel patto del Signore tuo Dio, patto stabilito con giuramento e che il Signore, il tuo Dio, fa oggi con te 12 per costituirti oggi come suo popolo e per essere tuo Dio, come ti disse e come giurò ai tuoi padri, ad Abraamo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe. 13 E non con voi soltanto io faccio questo patto e questo giuramento, 14 ma anche con chiunque è qui oggi con noi davanti al Signore nostro Dio, e con quelli che non sono oggi qui con noi.

Conseguenza della disubbidienza

15 «Poiché voi sapete come abbiamo abitato nel paese d’Egitto e come siamo passati in mezzo alle nazioni che avete attraversate; 16 avete visto le loro abominazioni e gli idoli di legno, di pietra, d’argento e d’oro, che sono fra quelle. 17 Non vi sia tra di voi uomo o donna o famiglia o tribù che volga oggi il cuore lontano dal Signore nostro Dio, per andare a servire gli dèi di quelle nazioni; non vi sia tra di voi nessuna radice che produca veleno e assenzio. 18 Nessuno, dopo aver udito le parole di questo giuramento, si illuda nel suo cuore dicendo: “Avrò pace, anche se camminerò secondo la caparbietà del mio cuore”. In questo modo chi ha bevuto largamente porta a perdizione anche chi ha sete. 19 Il Signore non gli perdonerà; ma in tal caso l’ira del Signore e la sua gelosia s’infiammeranno contro quell’uomo, tutte le maledizioni scritte in questo libro gli verranno addosso e il Signore cancellerà il suo nome sotto il cielo; 20 il Signore lo separerà, per sua sventura, da tutte le tribù d’Israele, secondo tutte le maledizioni del patto scritto in questo libro della legge. 21 La generazione futura, i vostri figli che verranno dopo di voi e lo straniero che verrà da un paese lontano, anzi tutte le nazioni, quando vedranno le piaghe di questo paese e le malattie con le quali il Signore lo avrà afflitto; 22 quando vedranno che tutto il suo suolo sarà zolfo, sale, arsura e non vi sarà più sementa, né prodotto, né erba di sorta che vi cresca, come dopo la rovina di Sodoma, di Gomorra, di Adma e di Seboim che il Signore distrusse nella sua ira e nel suo furore, diranno: 23 “Perché il Signore ha trattato così questo paese? Perché l’ardore di questa grande ira?” 24 E si risponderà: “Perché hanno abbandonato il patto del Signore, Dio dei loro padri: il patto che egli stabilì con loro quando li fece uscire dal paese d’Egitto; 25 perché sono andati a servire altri dèi e si sono prostrati davanti a loro; dèi che essi non avevano conosciuti e che il Signore non aveva assegnati loro. 26 Per questo si è accesa l’ira del Signore contro questo paese ed egli ha fatto venire su di esso tutte le maledizioni scritte in questo libro; 27 il Signore li ha divelti dal loro suolo con ira, con furore, con grande indignazione e li ha gettati in un altro paese, come oggi si vede”. 28 Le cose occulte appartengono al Signore nostro Dio, ma le cose rivelate sono per noi e per i nostri figli per sempre, perché mettiamo in pratica tutte le parole di questa legge.

The Covenant Renewed in Moab

1 ^[1] These are the words of the covenant that the LORD commanded Moses to make with the people of Israel in the land of Moab, besides the covenant that he had made with them at Horeb. (أع 2:39) 16 “You know how we lived in the land of Egypt, and how we came through the midst of the nations through which you passed. 17 And you have seen their detestable things, their idols of wood and stone, of silver and gold, which were among them. 18 Beware lest there be among you a man or woman or clan or tribe whose heart is turning away today from the LORD our God to go and serve the gods of those nations. Beware lest there be among you a root bearing poisonous and bitter fruit, (عب 12:15) 19 one who, when he hears the words of this sworn covenant, blesses himself in his heart, saying, ‘I shall be safe, though I walk in the stubbornness of my heart.’ This will lead to the sweeping away of moist and dry alike. 20 The LORD will not be willing to forgive him, but rather the anger of the LORD and his jealousy will smoke against that man, and the curses written in this book will settle upon him, and the LORD will blot out his name from under heaven. 24 all the nations will say, ‘Why has the LORD done thus to this land? What caused the heat of this great anger?’ (تث 29:22; 1مل 9:8; 1مل 9:9; إر 22:8; إر 22:9)

25 Then people will say, ‘It is because they abandoned the covenant of the LORD, the God of their fathers, which he made with them when he brought them out of the land of Egypt, 26 and went and served other gods and worshiped them, gods whom they had not known and whom he had not allotted to them. 27 Therefore the anger of the LORD was kindled against this land, bringing upon it all the curses written in this book, (لا 26:14; تث 28:15; دا 9:11) 28 and the LORD uprooted them from their land in anger and fury and great wrath, and cast them into another land, as they are this day.’ (1مل 14:15; 2أخ 7:20; إر 12:14; إر 22:26)

29 “The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but the things that are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.
