1 ارْحَمْنِي يَا اللهُ حَسَبَ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَامْحُ مَعَاصِيَّ حَسَبَ كَثْرَةِ رَأْفَتِكَ. 2 اغْسِلْنِي كُلِّيًّا مِنْ إِثْمِي، وَطَهِّرْنِي مِنْ خَطِيئَتِي. 3 فَإِنَّنِي أُقِرُّ بِمَعَاصِيَّ، وَخَطِيئَتِي مَاثِلَةٌ أَمَامِي دَائِماً. 4 إِلَيْكَ وَحْدَكَ أَخْطَأْتُ، وَالشَّرَّ قُدَّامَ عَيْنَيْكَ صَنَعْتُ. لِكَي تَتَبَرَّرَ إِذَا حَكَمْتَ وَتَزْكُوَ إِذَا قَضَيْتَ. 5 هَا إِنِّي بِالإِثْمِ قَدْ وُلِدْتُ وَفِي الْخَطِيئَةِ حَبِلَتْ بِي أُمِّي. 6 هَا أَنْتَ تَرْغَبُ أَنْ تَرَى الْحَقَّ فِي دَخِيلَةِ الإِنْسَانِ، فَتُعَرِّفُنِي الْحِكْمَةَ فِي قَرَارَةِ نَفْسِي. 7 طَهِّرْنِي بِالزُّوفَا فَأَتَنَقَّى. اغْسِلْنِي فَأَبْيَضَّ أَكْثَرَ مِنَ الثَّلْجِ. 8 أَسْمِعْنِي صَوْتَ السُّرُورِ وَالْفَرَحِ، فَتَبْتَهِجَ عِظَامِي الَّتِي سَحَقْتَهَا. 9 احْجُبْ وَجْهَكَ عَنْ خَطَايَايَ وَامْحُ كُلَّ آثَامِي. 10 قَلْباً نَقِيًّا اخْلُقْ فِيَّ يَا اللهُ وَرُوحاً مُسْتَقِيماً جَدِّدْ فِي دَاخِلِي. 11 لَا تَطْرُدْنِي مِنْ حَضْرَتِكَ، وَلَا تَنْزِعْ مِنِّي رُوحَكَ القُدُّوسَ. 12 رُدَّ لِي بَهْجَتِي بِخَلاصِكَ، وَبِرُوحٍ رَضِيَّةٍ آزِرْنِي 13 عِنْدَئِذٍ أُعَلِّمُ الأَثَمَةَ طُرُقَكَ، فَيَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ الْخَاطِئُونَ. 14 أَنْقِذْنِي مِنْ سَفْكِ الدِّمَاءِ يَا اللهُ، يَا إِلَهَ خَلاصِي، فَيُرَنِّمَ لِسَانِي بِبِرِّكَ. 15 يَا رَبُّ افْتَحْ شَفَتَيَّ فَيُذِيعَ فَمِي تَسْبِيحَكَ. 16 فَإِنَّكَ لَا تُسَرُّ بِذَبِيحَةٍ، وَإلَّا كُنْتُ أُقَدِّمُهَا. بِمُحْرَقَةٍ لَا تَرْضَى. 17 إِنَّ الذَّبَائِحَ الَّتِي يَطْلُبُهَا اللهُ هِيَ رُوحٌ مُنْكَسِرَةٌ. فَلَا تَحْتَقِرَنَّ الْقَلْبَ الْمُنْكَسِرَ وَالْمُنْسَحِقَ يَا اللهُ. 18 أَحْسِنْ إِلَى صِهْيَوْنَ بِمُقْتَضَى مَسَرَّتِكَ. وَابْنِ أَسْوَارَ أُورُشَلِيمَ. 19 عِنْدَئِذٍ تَرْضَى بِذَبَائِحِ الْبِرِّ، وَمُحْرَقَةٍ وَتَقْدِمَةٍ تَامَّةٍ. حِينَئِذٍ يُقَرِّبُونَ عَلَى مَذْبَحِكَ عُجُولاً.

1 To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet went to him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba. Have mercy on me,[1] O God, according to your steadfast love; according to your abundant mercy blot out my transgressions. (2صم 12:1; مز 4:1; مز 51:9; مز 106:45; إش 43:25; إش 44:22; أع 3:19; كو 2:14) 2 Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin! (لا 13:6; مز 51:7; إش 1:16; إر 4:14; ملا 3:3; أع 22:16; عب 9:14; 1يو 1:7; 1يو 1:9) 3 For I know my transgressions, and my sin is ever before me. (مز 32:5; أم 28:13) 4 Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight, so that you may be justified in your words and blameless in your judgment. (أي 38:36) 7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. (خر 12:22; لا 14:4; عد 19:18; مز 51:2; إش 1:18; عب 9:19) 8 Let me hear joy and gladness; let the bones that you have broken rejoice. (مز 35:10; مز 44:19; إش 38:13) 9 Hide your face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. (مز 51:1; إر 16:17) 10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right[2] spirit within me. (1صم 10:9; مز 24:4; إر 24:7; مرا 5:21; حز 11:19; حز 36:26; مت 5:8; أع 15:9; أف 4:23) 11 Cast me not away from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me. (2مل 13:23; 2مل 17:20; 2مل 24:20; مز 102:10; إر 7:15; رو 8:9; أف 4:30) 12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation, and uphold me with a willing spirit. 13 Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners will return to you. (لو 22:32) 14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, O God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of your righteousness. (مز 40:6) 17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, you will not despise. (مز 34:18) 18 Do good to Zion in your good pleasure; build up the walls of Jerusalem; (مز 69:35; مز 122:6; مز 147:2) 19 then will you delight in right sacrifices, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings; then bulls will be offered on your altar.
