تَرْنِيمَةُ الْمَصَاعِدِ

1 عِنْدَمَا أَرْجَعَ الرَّبُّ أَهْلَ أُورُشَلِيمَ مِنَ السَّبْيِ، صِرْنَا كَمَنْ يَرَى حُلْماً. 

2 عِنْدَئِذٍ امْتَلأَتْ أَفْوَاهُنَا ضِحْكاً، وَأَلْسِنَتُنَا تَرَنُّماً. عِنْدَئِذٍ قَالَتِ الأُمَمُ: إِنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ أَجْرَى أُمُوراً عَظِيمَةً مَعَ هَؤُلاءِ. 

3 نَعَمْ، إِنَّ الرَّبَّ قَدْ صَنَعَ أُمُوراً عَظِيمَةً لَنَا، فَفَرِحْنَا. 

4 أَرْجِعْنَا يَا رَبُّ مِنْ سَبْيِنَا، كَمَا تَرْجِعُ السُّيُولُ إِلَى النَّقَبِ. 

5 فَمَنْ يَزْرَعْ بِالدُّمُوعِ يَحْصُدْ غَلّاتِهِ بِالابْتِهَاجِ. 

6 وَمَنْ يَذْهَبْ بَاكِياً حَامِلاً بِذَارَهُ يَرْجِعْ مُتَرَنِّماً حَامِلاً حُزَمَ حَصِيدِهِ.

Restore Our Fortunes, O Lord

A Song of Ascents.

1 When the LORD restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dream. (مز 14:7; أع 12:9) 

2 Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with shouts of joy; then they said among the nations, “The LORD has done great things for them.” (أي 8:21; مز 71:19) 

3 The LORD has done great things for us; we are glad. 

4 Restore our fortunes, O LORD, like streams in the Negeb! 

5 Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! (عز 6:22; نح 12:43; إر 31:9; غل 6:9) 

6 He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.
