Dem HERRN gehört die Erde und ihre Fülle, der Erdkreis und seine Bewohner;2denn er hat auf Meeren[1] sie gegründet und über Strömen sie festgestellt.3Wer darf hinaufgehn zum Berge des HERRN, wer stehen an seiner heiligen Stätte?4Wer schuldlos ist an Händen und reinen Herzens, wer nie den Sinn auf Täuschung richtet, und wer nicht betrügerisch schwört:5der wird Segen empfangen vom HERRN und Gerechtigkeit[2] vom Gott seines Heils.6Dies ist das Geschlecht, das nach ihm verlangt, die dein Angesicht suchen, Gott Jakobs. SELA.7Hebt hoch, ihr Tore, eure Häupter und öffnet euch weit, ihr uralten Pforten, daß der König der Herrlichkeit[3] einziehe!8»Wer ist denn der König der Herrlichkeit[4]?« Der HERR, gar stark und ein Held, der HERR, ein Held in der Schlacht!9Hebt hoch, ihr Tore, eure Häupter und öffnet euch weit, ihr uralten Pforten, daß der König der Herrlichkeit[5] einziehe!10»Wer ist denn der König der Herrlichkeit[6]?« Der HERR der Heerscharen, der ist der König der Herrlichkeit[7]!
