1Dies ist das Wort, das vom HERRN geschah zu Jeremia:2So spricht der HERR, der Gott Israels: Schreib dir alle Worte, die ich zu dir geredet habe, in ein Buch.3Denn siehe, es kommt die Zeit, spricht der HERR, dass ich das Geschick meines Volks Israel und Juda wenden will, spricht der HERR; und ich will sie wiederbringen in das Land, das ich ihren Vätern gegeben habe, dass sie es besitzen sollen. (Jer 16,14; Jer 29,14)4Und dies sind die Worte, die der HERR redete über Israel und Juda.5Ja, so spricht der HERR: Wir hören ein Geschrei des Schreckens; nur Furcht ist da und kein Friede.6Forscht doch und seht, ob Männer gebären! Wie geht’s denn zu, dass ich alle Männer sehe, wie sie ihre Hände an die Hüften halten wie Frauen in Kindsnöten, und alle Gesichter verstört und so bleich sind?7Denn groß ist jener Tag, und seinesgleichen ist nicht gewesen, und es ist eine Zeit der Angst für Jakob; doch soll ihm daraus geholfen werden. (Joe 2,11; Zef 1,14)8Es soll aber geschehen zu dieser Zeit, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, dass ich das Joch auf deinem Nacken zerbrechen will und deine Bande zerreißen. Sie werden nicht mehr Fremden dienen, (Jer 23,5; Jer 27,12; Hes 34,23; Hos 3,5)9sondern dem HERRN, ihrem Gott, und ihrem König David, den ich ihnen erwecken will.10Darum fürchte du dich nicht, mein Knecht Jakob, spricht der HERR, und entsetze dich nicht, Israel. Denn siehe, ich will dich erretten aus fernen Landen und deine Nachkommen aus dem Lande ihrer Gefangenschaft, dass Jakob zurückkehren soll und in Frieden und Sicherheit leben, und niemand soll ihn schrecken. (Jes 43,5; Jer 46,27)11Denn ich bin bei dir, spricht der HERR, dass ich dir helfe. Denn ich will mit allen Völkern ein Ende machen, unter die ich dich zerstreut habe; aber mit dir will ich nicht ein Ende machen. Ich will dich mit Maßen züchtigen, doch ungestraft kann ich dich nicht lassen. (5Mo 8,5; Jer 10,24)
Die Wunden werden geheilt
12Denn so spricht der HERR: Dein Schaden ist verzweifelt böse, und deine Wunden sind unheilbar. (Jer 10,19; Jer 14,17; Jer 15,18)13Deine Sache führt niemand; da ist keiner, der dich verbindet, es kann dich niemand heilen. (Jer 8,22)14Alle deine Liebhaber haben dich vergessen, fragen nichts nach dir. Ich habe dich geschlagen wie einen Feind mit unbarmherziger Züchtigung um deiner großen Schuld und um deiner vielen Sünden willen.15Was schreist du über deinen Schaden und über dein verzweifelt böses Leiden? Um deiner großen Schuld und um deiner vielen Sünden willen habe ich dir das angetan.16Doch alle, die dich fressen, sollen gefressen werden, und alle, die dich ängstigen, sollen gefangen fort; und die dich plündern, sollen geplündert werden, und alle, die dich berauben, gebe ich dem Raub preis. (Jes 33,1; Hes 39,10)17Ja, ich will dich wieder gesund machen und deine Wunden heilen, spricht der HERR, weil man dich nennt: »die Verstoßene« und: »Zion, nach der niemand fragt«. (Jes 57,18; Jer 33,6)
Der Wiederaufbau
18So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich will das Geschick der Hütten Jakobs wenden und mich über seine Wohnungen erbarmen, und die Stadt soll auf ihren Trümmern wieder gebaut werden, und die Burg soll stehen auf ihrem rechten Platz. (Jer 31,38)19Und von dort soll erschallen Lob- und Freudengesang; denn ich will sie mehren und nicht mindern, ich will sie herrlich machen und nicht geringer.20Ihre Söhne sollen sein wie früher und ihre Gemeinde vor mir fest gegründet stehen. Doch ich will heimsuchen alle, die sie bedrängen.21Und ihr Fürst soll aus ihrer Mitte kommen und ihr Herrscher aus ihnen hervorgehen. Ich lasse ihn herzutreten, und er soll mir nahen; denn wer dürfte sonst sein Leben wagen und mir nahen?, spricht der HERR. (Jer 9,1)22Und ihr sollt mein Volk sein, und ich will euer Gott sein. (Jer 7,23)23Siehe, es wird ein Wetter des HERRN kommen voll Grimm, ein schreckliches Ungewitter wird auf den Kopf der Gottlosen niedergehen. (Jer 23,19)24Des HERRN grimmiger Zorn wird nicht ablassen, bis er tue und ausrichte, was er im Sinn hat; zur letzten Zeit werdet ihr es erkennen.
