1 O give thanks unto the LORD; call upon his name: make known his deeds among the people. 2 Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him: talk ye of all his wondrous works. 3 Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. 4 Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore. 5 Remember his marvellous works that he hath done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth; 6 O ye seed of Abraham his servant, ye children of Jacob his chosen. 7 He is the LORD our God: his judgments are in all the earth. 8 He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations. 9 Which covenant he made with Abraham, and his oath unto Isaac; 10 And confirmed the same unto Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant: 11 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance: 12 When they were but a few men in number; yea, very few, and strangers in it. 13 When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people; 14 He suffered no man to do them wrong: yea, he reproved kings for their sakes; 15 Saying , Touch not mine anointed, and do my prophets no harm. 16 Moreover he called for a famine upon the land: he brake the whole staff of bread. 17 He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold for a servant: 18 Whose feet they hurt with fetters: he was laid in iron: 19 Until the time that his word came: the word of the LORD tried him. 20 The king sent and loosed him; even the ruler of the people, and let him go free. 21 He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all his substance: 22 To bind his princes at his pleasure; and teach his senators wisdom. 23 Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham. 24 And he increased his people greatly; and made them stronger than their enemies. 25 He turned their heart to hate his people, to deal subtilly with his servants. 26 He sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen. 27 They shewed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. 28 He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word. 29 He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish. 30 Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings. 31 He spake, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice in all their coasts. 32 He gave them hail for rain, and flaming fire in their land. 33 He smote their vines also and their fig trees; and brake the trees of their coasts. 34 He spake, and the locusts came, and caterpillers, and that without number, 35 And did eat up all the herbs in their land, and devoured the fruit of their ground. 36 He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the chief of all their strength. 37 He brought them forth also with silver and gold: and there was not one feeble person among their tribes. 38 Egypt was glad when they departed: for the fear of them fell upon them. 39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night. 40 The people asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of heaven. 41 He opened the rock, and the waters gushed out; they ran in the dry places like a river. 42 For he remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant. 43 And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness: 44 And gave them the lands of the heathen: and they inherited the labour of the people; 45 That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Să se bucure inima celor ce‑L caută pe DOMNUL! 4 Căutați pe DOMNUL și puterea Lui, căutați întotdeauna fața Lui! 5 Aduceți‑vă aminte de minunile pe care le‑a făcut, de semnele Sale și de judecățile rostite de gura Sa, 6 sămânță a robului Său Avraam, fii ai lui Iacov, aleșii Lui! 7 El este DOMNUL, Dumnezeul nostru, și judecățile Lui se împlinesc pe tot pământul. 8 El Își aduce aminte mereu de legământul Lui, de cuvântul pe care l‑a poruncit pentru o mie de generații, 9 de legământul pe care l‑a încheiat cu Avraam, de jurământul Lui către Isaac, 10 pe care l‑a întărit față de Iacov printr‑o hotărâre și față de Israel printr‑un legământ veșnic, 11 zicând: „Ție îți voi da țara Canaan, ca parte a moștenirii voastre.“ 12 Pe atunci erau doar câțiva oameni, puțini la număr și străini în țară. 13 Ei călătoreau de la un neam la alt neam, de la un regat la alt popor. 14 El nu a îngăduit niciunui om să‑i asuprească și a mustrat regi pentru ei: 15 „Nu vă atingeți de unșii Mei și nu‑i vătămați pe profeții Mei!“ 16 A chemat foametea peste țară, a frânt orice toiag al pâinii. 17 Trimisese înaintea lor un om, pe Iosif, care a fost vândut ca rob. 18 I‑au strâns picioarele în lanțuri, iar gâtul i‑a fost pus în fiare, 19 până la vremea când s‑a împlinit^[1] Cuvântul Lui, când Cuvântul DOMNULUI l‑a dovedit curat.^[2] 20 Atunci regele a trimis să‑l dezlege și stăpânitorul popoarelor – să‑l elibereze. 21 L‑a pus stăpân peste casa lui și stăpânitor peste toate averile lui, 22 ca să‑i lege după bunu‑i plac pe prinții lui și să‑i învețe pe bătrânii lui înțelepciunea. 23 Atunci Israel a venit în Egipt, Iacov a locuit ca străin în țara lui Ham. 24 Dumnezeu Și‑a înmulțit poporul foarte mult și i‑a făcut mai tari decât pe vrăjmașii lor. 25 Acestora le‑a schimbat inima, ca să‑I urască poporul, să se poarte mișelește cu robii Săi. 26 L‑a trimis pe Moise, robul Său, și pe Aaron pe care‑l alesese. 27 Ei au înfăptuit semnele Lui printre vrăjmași și au făcut minuni în țara lui Ham. 28 A trimis întunericul și s‑a făcut beznă; Moise și Aaron nu s‑au răzvrătit împotriva cuvintelor Lui. 29 Le‑a prefăcut apa în sânge și le‑a omorât peștii. 30 Țara lor a mișunat de broaște, până în odăile împăraților lor. 31 El a zis, și au venit roiuri de muște; au fost țânțari pe întreg teritoriul lor. 32 Le‑a dat grindină, în loc de ploaie, și flăcări de foc peste țara lor. 33 Le‑a lovit viile și smochinii și le‑a rupt copacii din teritoriul lor. 34 El a zis, și au venit lăcuste^[3], lăcuste^[4] fără număr. 35 Ele au devorat toată verdeața din țara lor și au mâncat rodul pământului lor. 36 I‑a lovit pe toți întâii născuți în țara lor, pârga întregii lor puteri. 37 El i‑a scos pe israeliți de acolo cu argint și cu aur și n‑a fost niciunul din semințiile Lui care să se poticnească. 38 Egiptenii s‑au bucurat de plecarea lor, căci îi apucaseră groaza de ei. 39 El a întins un nor ca să le fie învelitoare și un foc ca să lumineze noaptea. 40 Au cerut, iar El le‑a trimis prepelițe și i‑a săturat cu pâine din cer. 41 A despicat stânca și a curs apă; un râu a curs prin locuri uscate. 42 Și aceasta pentru că Și‑a amintit de promisiunea Sa cea sfântă, făcută lui Avraam, robul Său. 43 El Și‑a scos poporul cu bucurie, Și‑a scos aleșii cu strigăte de veselie. 44 Le‑a dat teritoriile neamurilor și au moștenit rodul muncii noroadelor, 45 ca să păzească hotărârile Lui și să trăiască după învățăturile^[5] Lui. Lăudați‑L pe DOMNUL!^[6]
