1Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;2By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.3For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;4And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:5And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve:6After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep.7After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles.8And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.9For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.10But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.11Therefore whether it were I or they, so we preach, and so ye believed.12Now if Christ be preached that he rose from the dead, how say some among you that there is no resurrection of the dead?13But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then is Christ not risen:14And if Christ be not risen, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain.15Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God; because we have testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.16For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:17And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.18Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are perished.19If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.21For since by man came death, by man came also the resurrection of the dead.22For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.23But every man in his own order: Christ the firstfruits; afterward they that are Christ's at his coming.24Then cometh the end, when he shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when he shall have put down all rule and all authority and power.25For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet.26The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.27For he hath put all things under his feet. But when he saith, all things are put under him, it is manifest that he is excepted, which did put all things under him.28And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.29Else what shall they do which are baptized for the dead, if the dead rise not at all? why are they then baptized for the dead?30And why stand we in jeopardy every hour?31I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.32If after the manner of men I have fought with beasts at Ephesus, what advantageth it me, if the dead rise not? let us eat and drink; for to morrow we die.33Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.34Awake to righteousness, and sin not; for some have not the knowledge of God: I speak this to your shame.35But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?36Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:37And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:38But God giveth it a body as it hath pleased him, and to every seed his own body.39All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds.40There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.41There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in glory.42So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption:43It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power:44It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.45And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.46Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.47The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.48As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.49And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.50Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.51Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,52In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.53For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.54So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.55O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?56The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law.57But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.58Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
1Fraților, vă fac cunoscută Evanghelia pe care v‑am vestit‑o, pe care ați și primit‑o, în care stați și fermi2și prin care sunteți și mântuiți dacă vă țineți strâns de cuvântul pe care vi l‑am vestit. Altfel, ați crezut degeaba.3Căci v‑am încredințat înainte de toate ceea ce și eu am primit: Cristos a murit pentru păcatele noastre, potrivit Scripturilor,4a fost înmormântat, a fost înviat a treia zi, potrivit Scripturilor,5i S‑a arătat lui Chifa și apoi celor doisprezece6și, după aceea, S‑a arătat la peste cinci sute de frați deodată, dintre care cei mai mulți încă trăiesc, iar unii au adormit[1]. (1Co 11:30)7După aceea i S‑a arătat lui Iacov, apoi tuturor apostolilor.8Apoi, celui din urmă dintre toți, ca unei lepădături[2], mi S‑a arătat și mie.9Căci eu sunt cel mai neînsemnat dintre apostoli. Eu nu sunt vrednic să fiu numit apostol, pentru că am persecutat Biserica lui Dumnezeu,10însă prin harul lui Dumnezeu sunt ceea ce sunt, iar harul Lui față de mine n‑a fost fără folos, ci m‑am ostenit mai mult decât oricare dintre ei, dar nu eu, ci harul lui Dumnezeu care este cu mine.11Așadar, fie eu, fie ei, noi așa predicăm, iar voi așa ați crezut.
Învierea morților
12Dar dacă Cristos este predicat ca fiind înviat dintre cei morți, cum spun unii dintre voi că nu există o înviere a celor morți?13Dacă nu există o înviere a celor morți, nici Cristos n‑a fost înviat.14Dar dacă Cristos n‑a fost înviat, atunci predicarea noastră este fără folos, și fără folos este și credința voastră.15Mai mult, noi suntem găsiți și ca martori mincinoși ai lui Dumnezeu, pentru că am depus mărturie despre Dumnezeu că L‑a înviat pe Cristos, pe Care, de fapt, nu L‑a înviat, dacă într-adevăr cei morți nu sunt înviați.16Căci dacă cei morți nu sunt înviați, nici Cristos n‑a fost înviat,17iar dacă Cristos n‑a fost înviat, atunci credința voastră este fără rost, voi sunteți încă în păcatele voastre.18Prin urmare, și cei care au murit în Cristos sunt pierduți.19Dacă numai în viața aceasta ne‑am pus speranța în Cristos, atunci suntem cei mai jalnici dintre toți oamenii!20Dar acum, Cristos a fost înviat dintre cei morți, fiind primul rod dintre cei care au adormit.21Căci întrucât moartea a venit printr‑un om, tot printr‑un Om a venit și învierea dintre cei morți.22Căci așa cum, în Adam, toți mor, tot astfel, în Cristos, toți vor fi înviați,23însă fiecare la rândul lui. Primul rod este Cristos, apoi, la venirea Lui, cei ce sunt ai lui Cristos.24Apoi va veni sfârșitul, când El Îi va încredința Împărăția lui Dumnezeu Tatăl, după ce va fi distrus orice conducere[3] și orice autoritate și putere.25Căci El trebuie să domnească până când îi va pune pe toți dușmanii sub picioarele Sale.26Ultimul dușman care va fi distrus este moartea.27Căci El „I‑a supus totul sub picioare“[4]. Dar când se spune că toate I‑au fost supuse, este limpede că afară de Cel Ce I le‑a supus pe toate. (Ps 8:6)28Când toate lucrurile Îi vor fi fost supuse, atunci Însuși Fiul I Se va supune Celui Ce I‑a supus toate lucrurile, pentru ca Dumnezeu să fie totul în toți.29Altfel, ce vor face cei care sunt botezați pentru cei morți[5]? Dacă morții nu sunt înviați deloc, de ce mai sunt botezați ei pentru cei morți?30Și de ce suntem noi în pericol tot timpul?31Sunt în pericol de moarte în fiecare zi.[6] Acest lucru este sigur, fraților, întocmai ca lauda pe care o am cu voi în Cristos Isus, Domnul nostru.32Dacă doar în felul oamenilor m‑am luptat cu fiarele în Efes, care este câștigul meu? Dacă cei morți nu sunt înviați, „Să mâncăm și să bem, căci mâine vom muri!“[7] (Isa 22:13)33Nu vă înșelați: „Tovărășiile rele strică obiceiurile bune.[8]“34Veniți‑vă în fire cum se cuvine și nu mai păcătuiți; căci sunt unii care nu au cunoaștere de Dumnezeu. Spre rușinea voastră o spun.
Învierea în trup
35Dar va întreba cineva: „Cum sunt înviați cei morți? Și cu ce fel de trup vor veni?“36Nesăbuitule! Ceea ce tu semeni, nu este adus la viață dacă nu moare.37Și când semeni, nu semeni trupul care va fi, ci doar o sămânță simplă, poate de grâu sau de orice altceva.38Dar Dumnezeu îi dă un trup, după cum dorește; și fiecărei semințe îi dă un trup al ei.39Nu orice trup este la fel: ci unul este trupul oamenilor, altul este trupul animalelor, altul este trupul păsărilor, altul al peștilor.40Există și trupuri cerești și trupuri pământești. Dar alta este slava celor cerești și alta a celor pământești.41Alta este slava soarelui, alta este slava lunii și alta este slava stelelor, iar o stea diferă de alta în slavă.42Tot astfel și cu învierea celor morți. Trupul este semănat în putrezire, dar este înviat în neputrezire.43Este semănat în necinste, dar este înviat în slavă. Este semănat în slăbiciune, dar este înviat în putere.44Este semănat un trup firesc, dar este înviat un trup duhovnicesc. Dacă există un trup firesc, există și unul duhovnicesc.45Așa este și scris: „Primul om, Adam, a devenit un suflet viu.“[9] Ultimul Adam a devenit un duh dătător de viață. (Ge 2:7)46Dar primul nu este cel duhovnicesc, ci este cel firesc; apoi vine cel duhovnicesc.47Primul om a fost făcut din țărâna pământului. Al doilea Om este din cer.48Așa cum era cel pământesc, așa sunt și cei pământești; și așa cum este Cel Ceresc, așa sunt și cei cerești.49Așa cum am purtat chipul celui pământesc, tot astfel vom purta[10] și chipul Celui Ceresc.50Ceea ce spun, fraților, este că nu pot carnea și sângele să moștenească Împărăția lui Dumnezeu, și nici putrezirea nu poate moșteni neputrezirea.51Iată, vă spun o taină: nu toți vom adormi[11], dar toți vom fi schimbați (1Co 11:30)52într‑o clipă, într‑o clipire din ochi, la cea din urmă trâmbiță. Căci trâmbița va suna, iar cei morți vor fi înviați ca nemuritori, și noi vom fi schimbați.53Căci ceea ce este supus putrezirii trebuie să se îmbrace în neputrezire, iar ceea ce este muritor trebuie să se îmbrace în nemurire.54Când ceea ce este supus putrezirii se va fi îmbrăcat în neputrezire, iar ceea ce este muritor se va fi îmbrăcat în nemurire, atunci se va împlini cuvântul care a fost scris: „Moartea a fost înghițită de victorie.[12] (Isa 25:8)55Moarte, unde îți este victoria? Moarte, unde îți este boldul?“[13] (Ho 13:14)56Boldul morții este păcatul, iar puterea păcatului este Legea.57Dar mulțumiri fie aduse lui Dumnezeu, Care ne dă victoria prin Domnul nostru Isus Cristos.58De aceea, frații mei preaiubiți, fiți fermi, de neclintit, sporiți întotdeauna în lucrarea Domnului, pentru că știți că osteneala voastră în Domnul nu este fără folos.
