Deuteronomy 33

King James Version

1 And this is the blessing, wherewith Moses the man of God blessed the children of Israel before his death. 

2 And he said, The LORD came from Sinai, and rose up from Seir unto them; he shined forth from mount Paran, and he came with ten thousands of saints: from his right hand went a fiery law for them. 

3 Yea, he loved the people; all his saints are in thy hand: and they sat down at thy feet; every one shall receive of thy words. 

4 Moses commanded us a law, even the inheritance of the congregation of Jacob. 

5 And he was king in Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together. 

6 Let Reuben live, and not die; and let not his men be few. 

7 And this is the blessing of Judah: and he said, Hear, LORD, the voice of Judah, and bring him unto his people: let his hands be sufficient for him; and be thou an help to him from his enemies. 

8 And of Levi he said, Let thy Thummim and thy Urim be with thy holy one, whom thou didst prove at Massah, and with whom thou didst strive at the waters of Meribah; 

9 Who said unto his father and to his mother, I have not seen him; neither did he acknowledge his brethren, nor knew his own children: for they have observed thy word, and kept thy covenant. 

10 They shall teach Jacob thy judgments, and Israel thy law: they shall put incense before thee, and whole burnt sacrifice upon thine altar. 

11 Bless, LORD, his substance, and accept the work of his hands: smite through the loins of them that rise against him, and of them that hate him, that they rise not again. 

12 And of Benjamin he said, The beloved of the LORD shall dwell in safety by him; and the LORD shall cover him all the day long, and he shall dwell between his shoulders. 

13 And of Joseph he said, Blessed of the LORD be his land, for the precious things of heaven, for the dew, and for the deep that coucheth beneath, 

14 And for the precious fruits brought forth by the sun, and for the precious things put forth by the moon, 

15 And for the chief things of the ancient mountains, and for the precious things of the lasting hills, 

16 And for the precious things of the earth and fulness thereof, and for the good will of him that dwelt in the bush: let the blessing come upon the head of Joseph, and upon the top of the head of him that was separated from his brethren. 

17 His glory is like the firstling of his bullock, and his horns are like the horns of unicorns: with them he shall push the people together to the ends of the earth: and they are the ten thousands of Ephraim, and they are the thousands of Manasseh. 

18 And of Zebulun he said, Rejoice, Zebulun, in thy going out; and, Issachar, in thy tents. 

19 They shall call the people unto the mountain; there they shall offer sacrifices of righteousness: for they shall suck of the abundance of the seas, and of treasures hid in the sand. 

20 And of Gad he said, Blessed be he that enlargeth Gad: he dwelleth as a lion, and teareth the arm with the crown of the head. 

21 And he provided the first part for himself, because there, in a portion of the lawgiver, was he seated; and he came with the heads of the people, he executed the justice of the LORD, and his judgments with Israel. 

22 And of Dan he said, Dan is a lion' whelp: he shall leap from Bashan. 

23 And of Naphtali he said, O Naphtali, satisfied with favour, and full with the blessing of the LORD: possess thou the west and the south. 

24 And of Asher he said, Let Asher be blessed with children; let him be acceptable to his brethren, and let him dip his foot in oil. 

25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be . 

26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky. 

27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them . 

28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew. 

29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.

Moses Segen über die zwölf Stämme

1 Und das ist der Segen, mit dem Mose, der Mann Gottes, die Söhne Israel vor seinem Tod segnete. (Ge 49:28; Jos 14:6; 1Sa 2:27; 1Ch 23:14; 2Ch 8:14; Ps 90:1) 

2 Er sprach: Der HERR kam vom Sinai und leuchtete ihnen auf von Seïr. Er strahlte hervor vom Berg Paran und kam von heiligen Myriaden. Zu seiner Rechten war feuriges Gesetz für sie. (Ex 19:18; Jud 5:4; Ps 50:2; Ps 68:18; Hab 3:3; Jud 1:14) 

3 Ja, er liebt sein Volk! All seine Heiligen sind in deiner Hand; und sie folgen deinen Füßen, jeder empfängt von deinen Worten. (De 7:8; Jer 2:2; Jer 31:3; Ho 11:1; Lu 10:39; Joh 10:28) 

4 Ein Gesetz hat uns Mose geboten, einen Besitz der Versammlung Jakobs. (Le 26:46; Ps 119:111; Ps 147:19; Mal 3:22) 

5 Und er wurde König in Jeschurun, als sich die Häupter des Volkes versammelten, die Stämme Israels insgesamt. – (Ge 35:23; Ex 15:18; De 32:15; De 33:26) 

6 Ruben lebe und sterbe nicht, sodass seine Männer wenige würden! 

7 Und dies für Juda: Und er sprach: Höre, HERR, die Stimme Judas und bring ihn zu seinem Volk! Seine Hände seien mächtig für ihn, und sei ⟨ihm⟩ Helfer vor seinen Gegnern! (Ps 89:24) 

8 Und für Levi sprach er: Deine Tummim und deine Urim sind für den Mann, der dir getreu ist, den du auf die Probe gestellt hast bei Massa, mit dem du gestritten hast bei dem Wasser von Meriba, (Ex 28:30; De 9:22) 

9 der von seinem Vater und von seiner Mutter sagte: »Ich habe ihn nicht gesehen!«, und der seine Brüder nicht kannte und von seinen Söhnen nichts wusste. Denn sie haben dein Wort beachtet, und deinen Bund bewahren sie. (Ex 32:26; Mal 2:5; Mt 10:37) 

10 Sie lehren Jakob deine Rechtsbestimmungen und Israel dein Gesetz. Sie legen Räucherwerk vor deine Nase und Ganzopfer auf deinen Altar. (Ex 30:7; Le 10:11; De 17:9; De 27:14; 2Ch 30:22; Ezr 7:10; Ne 8:7; Ps 51:21; Hag 2:12) 

11 Segne, HERR, seine Kraft, und das Werk seiner Hände lass dir gefallen! Zerschmettere die Hüften derer, die sich gegen ihn erheben, und seiner Hasser, dass sie nicht mehr aufstehen! (Jer 17:18) 

12 Für Benjamin sprach er: Der Liebling des HERRN! In Sicherheit wohnt er bei ihm. Er beschirmt ihn den ganzen Tag, und zwischen seinen Berghängen wohnt er. (1Sa 10:20; 2Sa 12:24; Jer 12:7) 

13 Und für Josef sprach er: Gesegnet vom HERRN ist sein Land! Vom Auserlesenen des Himmels, vom Tau, und von der Flut, die unten liegt, 

14 und vom Auserlesenen der Erträge der Sonne und vom Auserlesenen der Früchte der Monate 

15 und vom Besten der uralten Berge und vom Auserlesenen der ewigen Hügel 

16 und vom Auserlesenen der Erde und ihrer Fülle und das Wohlgefallen dessen, der im Dornbusch wohnt, ⟨all das⟩ komme auf das Haupt Josefs und auf den Scheitel des Abgesonderten unter seinen Brüdern! (Ex 3:2) 

17 Er ist herrlich wie sein erstgeborener Stier; und Hörner des Büffels sind seine Hörner. Mit ihnen stößt er die Völker nieder, ⟨alle⟩ miteinander ⟨bis an⟩ die Enden der Erde. Das sind die Zehntausende Ephraims, das die Tausende Manasses. (Ge 48:19; Nu 23:22; Jos 17:14; Jos 17:18; 1Ki 22:11; 1Ch 5:1; 1Ch 5:23; 1Ch 12:31) 

18 Und für Sebulon sprach er: Freue dich, Sebulon, über deinen Auszug und du, Issaschar, über deine Zelte! 

19 Sie rufen Völker zum Berg. Dort opfern sie Opfer der Gerechtigkeit; denn den Überfluss der Meere saugen sie und die verborgenen Schätze des Sandes. (Ps 4:6; Isa 2:3; Isa 60:5) 

20 Und für Gad sprach er: Gesegnet sei, der Gad Raum schafft! Wie eine Löwin lagert er und zerreißt den Arm und sogar den Scheitel. (1Ch 12:9) 

21 Und er wählte sich einen Erstlingsanteil aus; denn dort war der Anteil eines Anführers aufbewahrt. Und er zog an die Spitze des Volkes, er vollzog die Gerechtigkeit des HERRN und seine Gerichte mit Israel. (Nu 32:1; Jos 4:12) 

22 Und für Dan sprach er: Dan ist ein junger Löwe; er springt aus Baschan hervor. (Jos 19:47; Jud 18:27) 

23 Und für Naftali sprach er: Naftali, gesättigt mit Huld und voller Segen des HERRN! Westen und Süden nimm in Besitz! (Jer 31:14) 

24 Und für Asser sprach er: Mehr als die ⟨andern⟩ Söhne sei Asser gesegnet! Er sei der Liebling seiner Brüder, er tauche in Öl seinen Fuß! 

25 Eisen und Erz seien deine Riegel, und wie deine Tage, so deine Kraft! (Jos 14:11; Isa 40:29) 

26 Keiner ist wie der Gott Jeschuruns, der auf dem Himmel einherfährt zu deiner Hilfe und in seiner Hoheit auf den Wolken. (Ex 8:6; Ex 15:7; De 33:5; Ps 104:3; Isa 19:1; Hab 3:8) 

27 Eine Zuflucht ist der Gott der Urzeit, und unter ⟨dir⟩ sind ewige Arme. Und er vertrieb vor dir den Feind und sprach: Vernichte! (Ex 23:28; Ps 68:34; Ps 90:1; Isa 26:4; Jer 50:21; Ho 11:3; Mic 5:1) 

28 Und Israel wohnt sicher, abgesondert der Quell Jakobs, in einem Land von Korn und Most; auch sein Himmel träufelt Tau. (Ge 27:28; Nu 23:9; De 12:10; 1Ki 5:5; Jer 23:6; Zec 8:12; Zec 14:11) 

29 Glücklich bist du, Israel! Wer ist wie du, ein Volk, gerettet durch den HERRN, ⟨der⟩ der Schild deiner Hilfe und der das Schwert deiner Hoheit ist? Schmeicheln werden dir deine Feinde, du aber, du wirst einherschreiten über ihre Höhen. (De 4:7; Ps 18:45; Ps 33:12; Ps 115:9; Isa 33:16; Hab 3:19)
