1And Moses went up from the plains of Moab unto the mountain of Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, that is over against Jericho. And the LORD shewed him all the land of Gilead, unto Dan,2And all Naphtali, and the land of Ephraim, and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, unto the utmost sea,3And the south, and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, unto Zoar.4And the LORD said unto him, This is the land which I sware unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, saying, I will give it unto thy seed: I have caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not go over thither.5So Moses the servant of the LORD died there in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD.6And he buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, over against Bethpeor: but no man knoweth of his sepulchre unto this day.7And Moses was an hundred and twenty years old when he died: his eye was not dim, nor his natural force abated.8And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days: so the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.9And Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom; for Moses had laid his hands upon him: and the children of Israel hearkened unto him, and did as the LORD commanded Moses.10And there arose not a prophet since in Israel like unto Moses, whom the LORD knew face to face,11In all the signs and the wonders, which the LORD sent him to do in the land of Egypt to Pharaoh, and to all his servants, and to all his land,12And in all that mighty hand, and in all the great terror which Moses shewed in the sight of all Israel.

Und der HERR ließ ihn das ganze Land sehen: das ⟨Land⟩ Gilead bis nach Dan (Nu 23:14; De 3:27; Jos 22:9; Jud 18:29)2und das ganze ⟨Land⟩ Naftali, das Land Ephraim und Manasse und das ganze Land Juda bis zum westlichen Meer (Nu 34:6)3und den Süden und den Umkreis ⟨des Jordan⟩, die Steppe von Jericho, der Palmenstadt, bis ⟨hin nach⟩ Zoar. (Ge 19:22; Jud 1:16; 2Ch 28:15)4Und der HERR sprach zu ihm: Das ist das Land, das ich Abraham, Isaak und Jakob zugeschworen habe, indem ich sprach: Deinen Nachkommen werde ich es geben. Ich habe es dich mit deinen Augen sehen lassen, aber du sollst nicht nach dort hinübergehen. (De 1:8; De 1:37)5Und Mose, der Knecht des HERRN, starb dort im Land Moab nach dem Wort[2] des HERRN. (De 31:14; Jos 1:1; 2Ki 1:17; 2Ch 1:3; Lu 9:30)6Und er begrub ihn im Tal, im Land Moab, Bet-Peor gegenüber; und niemand kennt sein Grab bis auf diesen Tag. (De 4:46; Jud 1:9)7Mose aber war 120 Jahre alt, als er starb. Sein Auge war nicht trübe geworden und seine Frische nicht geschwunden. (De 31:2; Jos 14:11; Job 5:26; Ps 92:15)8Und die Söhne Israel beweinten Mose in den Steppen[3] von Moab dreißig Tage lang; dann waren die Tage des Weinens der Trauer um Mose zu Ende. (Ge 50:3; 1Sa 25:1)9Josua aber, der Sohn des Nun, war erfüllt mit dem Geist der Weisheit; denn Mose hatte seine Hände auf ihn gelegt. Und die Söhne Israel gehorchten ihm und taten, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hatte. (Ex 12:28; Ex 28:3; Nu 27:18; Jos 1:16; 1Ki 3:12; 1Ch 29:23; Isa 11:2; Ac 6:3; Eph 1:17)10Und es stand in Israel kein Prophet mehr auf wie Mose, den der HERR gekannt hätte von Angesicht zu Angesicht, (Ex 33:11; Nu 12:8; De 18:15)11mit all den Zeichen und Wundern[4], mit denen der HERR ihn gesandt hatte, ⟨sie⟩ im Land Ägypten, am Pharao und an all seinen Knechten und an seinem ganzen Land zu tun, (De 1:30)12und mit all der starken Macht[5] und mit all dem Großen und Furchtbaren[6], das Mose vor den Augen von ganz Israel getan hat.
