Hoffnung für alle

Wer andere ungerecht behandelt …

1 Ein guter Ruf ist wertvoller als großer Reichtum; und angesehen sein ist besser, als Silber und Gold zu besitzen. 2 Reiche und Arme haben eines gemeinsam: Gott, der HERR, schenkte ihnen allen das Leben. 3 Der Kluge sieht das Unglück kommen und bringt sich in Sicherheit; ein Unerfahrener läuft hinein und muss die Folgen tragen. 4 Wer Ehrfurcht vor dem HERRN hat und ihm gehorcht, der empfängt Reichtum, Anerkennung und Leben. 5 Der Weg hinterlistiger Menschen ist voller Dornen und Schlingen; wer sein Leben liebt, hält sich von ihm fern! 6 Bring dein Kind schon in jungen Jahren auf den richtigen Weg, dann hält es sich auch im Alter daran. 7 Der Reiche hat die Armen in seiner Hand; denn wer sich Geld leiht, ist abhängig von seinem Gläubiger. 8 Wer Unrecht sät, wird Unglück ernten; mit der Unterdrückung seiner Mitmenschen ist es dann vorbei! 9 Wer Mitleid zeigt und den Armen hilft, der empfängt reichen Segen. 10 Schicke den Spötter fort, dann haben Zank und Streit ein Ende! 11 Wer ehrlich ist und treffende Worte findet, den nimmt der König zum Freund. 12 Der HERR sorgt dafür, dass die Wahrheit siegt, denn er entlarvt die Worte der Betrüger. 13 »Ich kann unmöglich aus dem Haus gehen«, sagt der Faulpelz, »auf der Straße könnte ja ein Löwe sein, der mich anfällt und tötet!« 14 Die Frau eines anderen kann sehr verführerisch sein, aber ihre Worte sind eine tödliche Falle; wer den Zorn des HERRN auf sich zieht, der fällt hinein! 15 Ein Kind steckt voller Dummheiten, aber eine strenge Erziehung treibt sie ihm aus. 16 Wer die Armen unterdrückt, um sich Gewinn zu verschaffen, oder wer sich bei reichen Leuten mit Geschenken einschmeichelt, der wird schließlich im Elend enden.^[1] 17 Hör genau zu, ich will dir erzählen, was weise Menschen gesagt haben. Nimm dir meine Worte zu Herzen! 18 Du tust gut daran, wenn du sie im Gedächtnis behältst und jederzeit aufsagen kannst. 19 Ich unterrichte gerade dich heute, damit du es lernst, dem HERRN zu vertrauen. 20 Ich habe dir dreißig Lebensweisheiten aufgeschrieben, lauter lehrreiche Ratschläge. 21 Sie werden dir zeigen, was wahr und zuverlässig ist. Dann kannst du denen Rede und Antwort stehen, die dich beauftragt haben.

22 Beraube nicht den Armen, der sich nicht wehren kann, und hintergehe keinen Hilflosen vor Gericht! 23 Denn der HERR sorgt für ihr Recht, und wer sie ausbeutet, dem nimmt er dafür das Leben.

24 Lass dich nicht mit einem Jähzornigen ein, halte dich von einem Hitzkopf fern, 25 sonst wirst du am Ende genauso wie er und bringst dich selbst zu Fall!

26 Verpflichte dich nie durch einen Handschlag, für die Schulden eines anderen zu bürgen! 27 Denn wenn du dann nicht bezahlen kannst, nimmt man dir sogar dein Bett weg! 28 Verrücke niemals die Grenzsteine, die deine Vorfahren festgesetzt haben!

29 Kennst du jemanden, der gute Arbeit leistet? Er wird erfolgreich sein und Königen statt einfachen Leuten dienen.
