1 Der HERR ist König. Es zittern die Völker. Er thront auf den Kerubim. Es wankt die Erde. (Ps 24,7; Ps 80,2) 2 Groß ist der HERR auf Zion, erhaben ist er über alle Völker. (Ps 48,2; Ps 95,3) 3 Preisen sollen sie deinen großen und Furcht gebietenden Namen. Er ist heilig! (Ps 111,9) 4 Die Macht eines Königs ist das Recht, das er liebt. / Du bist es, der die Ordnung gegründet hat. Recht und Gerechtigkeit in Jakob hast du bewirkt. 5 Erhebt den HERRN, unsern Gott, / werft euch nieder am Schemel seiner Füße! Er ist heilig! (Ps 132,7) 6 Mose und Aaron sind unter seinen Priestern, / Samuel unter denen, die seinen Namen anrufen. Sie riefen zum HERRN und er gab ihnen Antwort. (Jer 15,1) 7 Aus der Wolkensäule sprach er zu ihnen, sie hielten seine Gebote und die Satzung, die er ihnen gegeben. (2Mo 33,9; 4Mo 12,5) 8 HERR, unser Gott, du gabst ihnen Antwort./ Du warst ihnen ein vergebender Gott, doch ihre Vergehen hast du vergolten. (2Mo 32,11; 2Mo 34,7) 9 Erhebt den HERRN, unsern Gott, / werft euch nieder an seinem heiligen Berg! Denn der HERR, unser Gott, ist heilig!

1 The LORD rules. Let the nations tremble. He sits on his throne between the cherubim. Let the earth shake. 2 Great is the LORD in Zion. He is honoured over all the nations. 3 Let them praise his great and wonderful name. He is holy. 4 The King is mighty and loves justice. He has set up the rules for fairness. He has done what is right and fair for the people of Jacob. 5 Honour the LORD our God. Worship at his feet. He is holy. 6 Moses and Aaron were two of his priests. Samuel was one of those who worshipped him. They called out to the LORD. And he answered them. 7 He spoke to them from the pillar of cloud. They obeyed his laws and the orders he gave them. 8 LORD our God, you answered them. You showed Israel that you are a God who forgives. But when they did wrong, you punished them. 9 Honour the LORD our God. Worship at his holy mountain. The LORD our God is holy.
