Loblied auf Gottes Hoheit und Liebe zu den Geringen

1 Halleluja! Lobt, ihr Knechte des HERRN, lobt den Namen des HERRN! (Ps 135,1) 

2 Der Name des HERRN sei gepriesen von nun an bis in Ewigkeit. 

3 Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Untergang sei gelobt der Name des HERRN. 

4 Erhaben ist der HERR über alle Völker, über den Himmeln ist seine Herrlichkeit. (Ps 95,3; Ps 148,13) 

5 Wer ist wie der HERR, unser Gott, der wohnt in der Höhe, (Ps 35,10) 

6 der hinabschaut in die Tiefe, auf Himmel und Erde? (Jes 57,15) 

7 Den Geringen richtet er auf aus dem Staub, aus dem Schmutz erhebt er den Armen, (1Sam 2,8) 

8 um ihn wohnen zu lassen bei den Fürsten, bei den Fürsten seines Volks. 

9 Die Kinderlose lässt er wohnen im Haus als frohe Mutter von Kindern. Halleluja! (1Sam 2,5; Jes 54,1; Lk 1,57)

1 Praise the LORD. Praise him, you who serve the LORD. Praise the name of the LORD. 

2 Let us praise the name of the LORD, both now and for ever. 

3 From the sunrise in the east to the sunset in the west, may the name of the LORD be praised. 

4 The LORD is honoured over all the nations. His glory reaches to the highest heavens. 

5 Who is like the LORD our God? He sits on his throne in heaven. 

6 He bends down to look at the heavens and the earth. 

7 He raises poor people up from the rubbish heap. He lifts needy people out of the ashes. 

8 He causes them to sit with princes. He causes them to sit with the princes of his people. 

9 He gives children to the woman who doesn’t have any children. He makes her a happy mother in her own home. Praise the LORD.
