1 In jener Zeit ging Jesus am Sabbat durch die Kornfelder. Seine Jünger hatten Hunger; sie rissen Ähren ab und aßen davon. (5Mo 23,26; Mk 2,23; Lk 6,1) 2 Die Pharisäer sahen es und sagten zu ihm: Sieh her, deine Jünger tun etwas, das am Sabbat verboten ist. 3 Da sagte er zu ihnen: Habt ihr nicht gelesen, was David getan hat, als er und seine Begleiter hungrig waren - (1Sam 21,2) 4 wie er in das Haus Gottes ging und wie sie die Schaubrote aßen, die weder er noch seine Begleiter, sondern nur die Priester essen durften? (3Mo 24,9) 5 Oder habt ihr nicht im Gesetz gelesen, dass am Sabbat die Priester im Tempel den Sabbat entweihen, ohne sich schuldig zu machen? 6 Ich sage euch: Hier ist Größeres als der Tempel. 7 Wenn ihr begriffen hättet, was das heißt: Barmherzigkeit will ich, nicht Opfer, dann hättet ihr nicht Unschuldige verurteilt; (Hos 6,6; Mt 9,13) 8 denn der Menschensohn ist Herr über den Sabbat. 



9 Von dort ging er weiter und kam in ihre Synagoge. (Mk 3,1; Lk 6,6; Lk 14,1) 10 Und siehe, dort saß ein Mann, dessen Hand verdorrt war. Sie fragten ihn: Ist es am Sabbat erlaubt zu heilen? Sie suchten ihn nämlich anzuklagen. (Lk 13,14) 11 Er aber sprach zu ihnen: Wer von euch, der ein einziges Schaf hat, wird es nicht packen und herausziehen, wenn es ihm am Sabbat in eine Grube fällt? 12 Wie viel mehr ist ein Mensch als ein Schaf? Darum ist es am Sabbat erlaubt, Gutes zu tun. 13 Dann sagte er zu dem Mann: Streck deine Hand aus! Er streckte sie aus und die Hand wurde wiederhergestellt - gesund wie die andere. 14 Die Pharisäer aber gingen hinaus und fassten den Beschluss, Jesus umzubringen. (Mk 11,18; Lk 19,47; Joh 5,18) 



15 Als Jesus das erfuhr, ging er von dort weg. Viele folgten ihm nach und er heilte sie alle. (Mt 8,16; Mk 3,7; Lk 6,17) 16 Er gebot ihnen, dass sie ihn nicht bekannt machen sollten, 17 damit erfüllt werde, was durch den Propheten Jesaja gesagt worden ist: 18 Siehe, mein Knecht, den ich erwählt habe, / mein Geliebter, an dem ich Gefallen gefunden habe. Ich werde meinen Geist auf ihn legen / und er wird den Völkern das Recht verkünden. (Jes 42,1; Mt 3,17) 19 Er wird nicht streiten und nicht schreien / und man wird seine Stimme nicht auf den Straßen hören. 20 Das geknickte Rohr wird er nicht zerbrechen / und den glimmenden Docht nicht auslöschen, / bis er dem Recht zum Sieg verholfen hat. 21 Und auf seinen Namen werden die Völker ihre Hoffnung setzen. 



22 Dann brachte man zu ihm einen Besessenen, der blind und stumm war. Er heilte ihn, sodass der Stumme wieder reden und sehen konnte. (Mt 9,32; Lk 11,14) 23 Die Menge war fassungslos und sagte: Ist dieser nicht der Sohn Davids? 24 Als die Pharisäer das hörten, sagten sie: Nur mit Hilfe von Beelzebul, dem Herrscher der Dämonen, treibt er die Dämonen aus. (Mt 10,25; Mk 3,22; Lk 11,15) 25 Doch Jesus wusste, was sie dachten, und sagte zu ihnen: Jedes Reich, das in sich gespalten ist, wird veröden und eine Stadt und eine Familie, die in sich gespalten ist, wird keinen Bestand haben. 26 Wenn also der Satan den Satan austreibt, dann ist Satan in sich selbst gespalten. Wie kann sein Reich dann Bestand haben? 27 Und wenn ich die Dämonen durch Beelzebul austreibe, durch wen treiben dann eure Söhne sie aus? Deswegen werden sie eure Richter sein. 28 Wenn ich aber im Geist Gottes die Dämonen austreibe, dann ist das Reich Gottes schon zu euch gekommen. 29 Wie kann einer in das Haus des Starken eindringen und ihm den Hausrat rauben, wenn er nicht zuerst den Starken fesselt? Erst dann kann er sein Haus plündern. 30 Wer nicht mit mir ist, der ist gegen mich; wer nicht mit mir sammelt, der zerstreut. 31 Darum sage ich euch: Jede Sünde und Lästerung wird den Menschen vergeben werden, aber die Lästerung gegen den Geist wird nicht vergeben werden. (Mk 3,28; Lk 12,10) 32 Auch wer ein Wort gegen den Menschensohn sagt, dem wird vergeben werden; wer aber etwas gegen den Heiligen Geist sagt, dem wird nicht vergeben, weder in dieser noch in der zukünftigen Welt. 33 Entweder: Der Baum ist gut - dann sind auch seine Früchte gut. Oder: Der Baum ist schlecht - dann sind auch seine Früchte schlecht. An der Frucht also erkennt man den Baum. (Mt 7,17; Lk 6,43) 34 Ihr Schlangenbrut, wie könnt ihr Gutes reden, wenn ihr böse seid? Denn wovon das Herz überfließt, davon spricht der Mund. (Mt 3,7) 35 Der gute Mensch bringt aus dem guten Schatz Gutes hervor und der böse Mensch bringt aus dem bösen Schatz Böses hervor. 36 Ich sage euch aber: Über jedes unnütze Wort, das die Menschen reden, werden sie am Tag des Gerichts Rechenschaft ablegen müssen; 37 denn aufgrund deiner Worte wirst du freigesprochen und aufgrund deiner Worte wirst du verurteilt werden. 



38 Darauf wandten sich einige Schriftgelehrte und Pharisäer an ihn: Meister, wir möchten von dir ein Zeichen sehen. (Mt 16,1; Mk 8,11; Lk 11,16; Joh 6,30; 1Kor 1,22) 39 Er antwortete ihnen: Diese böse und treulose Generation fordert ein Zeichen, aber es wird ihr kein Zeichen gegeben werden außer das Zeichen des Propheten Jona. 40 Denn wie Jona drei Tage und drei Nächte im Bauch des Fisches war, so wird auch der Menschensohn drei Tage und drei Nächte im Schoß der Erde sein. (Jon 2,1) 41 Die Männer von Ninive werden beim Gericht mit dieser Generation auftreten und sie verurteilen; denn sie sind auf die Botschaft des Jona hin umgekehrt. Und siehe, hier ist mehr als Jona. (Jon 3,5) 42 Die Königin des Südens wird beim Gericht gegen diese Generation auftreten und sie verurteilen; denn sie kam vom Ende der Erde, um die Weisheit Salomos zu hören. Und siehe, hier ist mehr als Salomo. (1Kön 10,1) 



43 Wenn ein unreiner Geist aus einem Menschen ausfährt, durchwandert er wasserlose Gegenden, um eine Ruhestätte zu suchen, findet aber keine. (Lk 11,24) 44 Dann sagt er: Ich will in mein Haus zurückkehren, das ich verlassen habe. Und er kommt und findet es leer, sauber und geschmückt. 45 Dann geht er und nimmt sieben andere Geister mit sich, die noch schlimmer sind als er selbst. Sie ziehen dort ein und lassen sich nieder. Und die letzten Dinge jenes Menschen werden schlimmer sein als die ersten. Dieser bösen Generation wird es genauso gehen. 



46 Als Jesus noch mit den Leuten redete, siehe, da standen seine Mutter und seine Brüder draußen und wollten mit ihm sprechen.[1] (Mk 3,31; Lk 8,19) 47 Da sagte jemand zu ihm: Siehe, deine Mutter und deine Brüder stehen draußen und wollen mit dir sprechen. 48 Dem, der ihm das gesagt hatte, erwiderte er: Wer ist meine Mutter und wer sind meine Brüder? 49 Und er streckte die Hand über seine Jünger aus und sagte: Siehe, meine Mutter und meine Brüder. 50 Denn wer den Willen meines himmlischen Vaters tut, der ist für mich Bruder und Schwester und Mutter.

1 At that time Jesus went through the grainfields on the Sabbath. His disciples were hungry, and they began to pluck heads of grain and to eat. (5Mo 23,25; Mk 2,23; Lk 6,1) 2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said to him, “Look, your disciples are doing what is not lawful to do on the Sabbath.” (2Mo 20,9; Mt 12,10; Lk 13,14; Lk 14,3; Joh 5,10; Joh 7,23; Joh 9,16) 3 He said to them, “Have you not read what David did when he was hungry, and those who were with him: (1Sam 21,1; Mt 21,16) 4 how he entered the house of God and ate the bread of the Presence, which it was not lawful for him to eat nor for those who were with him, but only for the priests? (2Mo 25,30; 3Mo 24,5) 5 Or have you not read in the Law how on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath and are guiltless? (4Mo 28,9; 1Chr 9,32; Joh 7,22) 6 I tell you, something greater than the temple is here. (Hag 2,9; Mal 3,1; Mt 12,8; Mt 12,41) 7 And if you had known what this means, ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the guiltless. (Hos 6,6; Mi 6,6; Mt 9,13) 8 For the Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.” (Mt 9,6) 



9 He went on from there and entered their synagogue. (Mk 3,1; Lk 6,6) 10 And a man was there with a withered hand. And they asked him, “Is it lawful to heal on the Sabbath?”—so that they might accuse him. (Mt 12,2; Lk 11,54; Lk 14,3; Lk 20,20; Joh 8,6) 11 He said to them, “Which one of you who has a sheep, if it falls into a pit on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out? (2Mo 23,4; 5Mo 22,4) 12 Of how much more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath.” (Mt 6,26; Mt 10,31; Joh 5,16) 13 Then he said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” And the man stretched it out, and it was restored, healthy like the other. (1Kön 13,4) 14 But the Pharisees went out and conspired against him, how to destroy him. 



15 Jesus, aware of this, withdrew from there. And many followed him, and he healed them all (Mt 10,23; Mt 19,2; Mk 3,7; Joh 10,39) 16 and ordered them not to make him known. (Mt 8,4; Mk 1,25; Mk 3,12; Mk 8,30; Lk 4,41; Lk 9,21) 17 This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: (Mt 1,22) 18 “Behold, my servant whom I have chosen, my beloved with whom my soul is well pleased. I will put my Spirit upon him, and he will proclaim justice to the Gentiles. (Jes 42,1; Jes 61,1; Lk 4,18; Joh 3,34; Apg 4,27; Apg 4,30; Apg 10,38) 19 He will not quarrel or cry aloud, nor will anyone hear his voice in the streets; 20 a bruised reed he will not break, and a smoldering wick he will not quench, until he brings justice to victory; 21 and in his name the Gentiles will hope.” (Jes 11,10; Jes 42,4; Röm 15,12) 



22 Then a demon-oppressed man who was blind and mute was brought to him, and he healed him, so that the man spoke and saw. (Mt 9,32; Lk 11,14) 23 And all the people were amazed, and said, “Can this be the Son of David?” (Mt 9,27; Joh 4,29; Joh 7,26; Joh 7,31) 24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, “It is only by Beelzebul, the prince of demons, that this man casts out demons.” (Mt 10,25; Mk 3,22) 25 Knowing their thoughts, he said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand. (Mt 9,4; Mk 3,23; Lk 11,17) 26 And if Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? 27 And if I cast out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they will be your judges. (2Kön 2,7; Apg 19,13) 28 But if it is by the Spirit of God that I cast out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. (Mt 12,18; Mt 19,24; Mt 21,31; Mt 21,43; Lk 17,21) 29 Or how can someone enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house. (Jes 49,24; Jes 53,12) 30 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. (Mk 9,40; Lk 9,50; Lk 11,23) 31 Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. (Mk 3,28; Lk 12,10; Apg 7,51; Hebr 6,4; Hebr 10,26; Hebr 10,29; 1Joh 5,16) 32 And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. (Mt 11,19; Mt 12,31; Joh 7,12; Joh 9,24; Eph 1,21; 1Tim 1,12) 



33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree bad and its fruit bad, for the tree is known by its fruit. (Mt 7,16; Lk 6,43) 34 You brood of vipers! How can you speak good, when you are evil? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. (Mt 3,7; Mt 7,11; Mt 13,52; Mt 15,18; Mt 23,33; Lk 6,45; Eph 4,29) 35 The good person out of his good treasure brings forth good, and the evil person out of his evil treasure brings forth evil. (Mt 12,34) 36 I tell you, on the day of judgment people will give account for every careless word they speak, (Pred 12,14; Apg 17,31; Röm 14,12; Eph 5,4; Eph 5,11; 1Petr 4,5; 2Petr 1,8) 37 for by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.” (Mt 5,22; Jak 3,2) 



38 Then some of the scribes and Pharisees answered him, saying, “Teacher, we wish to see a sign from you.” (Mt 16,1; Mk 8,11; Lk 11,16; Lk 23,8; Joh 2,18; Joh 4,48; Joh 6,30; 1Kor 1,22) 39 But he answered them, “An evil and adulterous generation seeks for a sign, but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah. (Jes 57,3; Mt 16,4; Mk 8,11; Mk 8,38; Lk 11,29; Jak 4,4) 40 For just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. (Jon 1,17; Mt 17,22) 41 The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here. (Jer 3,11; Hes 16,51; Jon 1,2; Jon 3,5; Mt 12,6; Röm 2,27; Hebr 11,7) 42 The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here. (1Kön 10,1; 2Chr 9,1; Mt 12,41) 



43 “When the unclean spirit has gone out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, but finds none. (Ps 63,1; Jer 2,6; Lk 11,24) 44 Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when it comes, it finds the house empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and dwell there, and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So also will it be with this evil generation.” (Mt 12,39; Joh 5,14; 2Petr 2,20) 



46 While he was still speaking to the people, behold, his mother and his brothers[1] stood outside, asking to speak to him.[2] (Mt 13,55; Mk 3,31; Mk 6,3; Lk 8,19; Joh 2,12; Joh 7,3; Joh 7,5; Joh 7,10; Apg 1,14; 1Kor 9,5; Gal 1,19) 48 But he replied to the man who told him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?” 49 And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers! 50 For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” (Mt 7,21; Lk 11,28; Joh 15,14; Hebr 2,11)

1 In quel tempo Gesù attraversò di sabato dei campi di grano; e i suoi discepoli ebbero fame e si misero a strappare delle spighe e a mangiare. 2 I farisei, veduto ciò, gli dissero: «Guarda! I tuoi discepoli fanno quello che non è lecito fare di sabato[1]». 3 Ma egli rispose loro: «Non avete letto quello che fece Davide, quando ebbe fame, egli insieme a coloro che erano con lui? 4 Come egli entrò nella casa di Dio e come mangiarono i pani di presentazione che non era lecito mangiare né a lui né a quelli che erano con lui, ma solamente ai sacerdoti? 5 O non avete letto nella legge che di sabato i sacerdoti nel tempio violano il sabato e non ne sono colpevoli? 6 Ora io vi dico che c’è qui qualcosa di più grande del tempio. 7 Se sapeste che cosa significa: “Voglio misericordia e non sacrificio”[2], non avreste condannato gli innocenti; 8 perché il Figlio dell’uomo è signore del sabato». 



9 Poi, allontanatosi di là, giunse nella loro sinagoga. 10 Ed ecco, c’era un uomo che aveva una mano paralizzata. Allora essi, per poterlo accusare, fecero a Gesù questa domanda: «È lecito fare guarigioni in giorno di sabato?» 11 Ed egli disse loro: «Chi è colui tra di voi che, avendo una pecora, se questa cade in giorno di sabato in una fossa, non la prenda e la tiri fuori? 12 Certo un uomo vale molto più di una pecora! È dunque lecito far del bene in giorno di sabato». 13 Allora disse a quell’uomo: «Stendi la mano». Ed egli la stese, e la mano ritornò sana come l’altra. 



14 I farisei, usciti, tennero consiglio contro di lui per farlo morire. 15 Ma Gesù, saputolo, si allontanò di là; una gran folla lo seguì ed egli li guarì tutti; 16 e ordinò loro di non divulgarlo, 17 affinché si adempisse quanto era stato detto per bocca del profeta Isaia: 18 «Ecco il mio servitore che ho scelto; il mio diletto, in cui l’anima mia si è compiaciuta. Io metterò lo Spirito mio sopra di lui, ed egli annuncerà la giustizia alle genti. 19 Non contenderà, né griderà e nessuno udrà la sua voce nelle piazze. 20 Non frantumerà la canna rotta e non spegnerà il lucignolo fumante, finché non abbia fatto trionfare la giustizia. 21 E nel suo nome le genti spereranno»[3]. 



22 Allora gli fu presentato un indemoniato, cieco e muto; ed egli lo guarì, in modo che il muto parlava e vedeva. 23 E tutta la folla stupiva e diceva: «Non è questi il Figlio di Davide?» 24 Ma i farisei, udendo ciò, dissero: «Costui non scaccia i demòni se non per l’aiuto di Belzebù, principe dei demòni». 25 Ma egli, conoscendo i loro pensieri, disse loro: «Ogni regno diviso contro se stesso va in rovina; e ogni città o casa divisa contro se stessa non potrà reggere. 26 Se Satana scaccia Satana, egli è diviso contro se stesso; come dunque potrà reggere il suo regno? 27 E se io scaccio i demòni con l’aiuto di Belzebù, con l’aiuto di chi li scacciano i vostri figli? Per questo essi stessi saranno i vostri giudici. 28 Ma se è con l’aiuto dello Spirito di Dio che io scaccio i demòni, è dunque giunto fino a voi il regno di Dio. 29 Oppure, come può uno entrare nella casa dell’uomo forte e rubargli la sua roba, se prima non lega l’uomo forte? Allora soltanto gli saccheggerà la casa. 30 Chi non è con me è contro di me; e chi non raccoglie con me, disperde. 



31 «Perciò io vi dico: ogni peccato e bestemmia sarà perdonata agli uomini; ma la bestemmia contro lo Spirito non sarà perdonata. 32 A chiunque parli contro il Figlio dell’uomo, sarà perdonato; ma a chiunque parli contro lo Spirito Santo, non sarà perdonato né in questo mondo né in quello futuro. 33 O fate l’albero buono e buono pure il suo frutto, o fate l’albero cattivo e cattivo pure il suo frutto; perché dal frutto si conosce l’albero. 34 Razza di vipere, come potete dire cose buone essendo malvagi? Poiché dall’abbondanza del cuore la bocca parla. 35 L’uomo buono dal suo buon tesoro trae cose buone; e l’uomo malvagio dal suo malvagio tesoro trae cose malvagie. 36 Io vi dico che di ogni parola oziosa che avranno detta, gli uomini renderanno conto nel giorno del giudizio; 37 poiché in base alle tue parole sarai giustificato, e in base alle tue parole sarai condannato». 



38 Allora alcuni scribi e farisei presero a dirgli: «Maestro, noi vorremmo vedere da te un segno». 39 Ma egli rispose loro: «Una generazione malvagia e adultera chiede un segno; segno non le sarà dato, se non il segno del profeta Giona. 40 Poiché, come Giona stette nel ventre del pesce tre giorni e tre notti[4], così il Figlio dell’uomo starà nel cuore della terra tre giorni e tre notti. 41 I Niniviti compariranno nel giudizio con questa generazione e la condanneranno, perché essi si ravvidero alla predicazione di Giona; ed ecco, qui c’è più che Giona! 42 La regina del mezzogiorno[5] comparirà nel giudizio con questa generazione e la condannerà; perché ella venne dalle estremità della terra per udire la sapienza di Salomone; ed ecco, qui c’è più che Salomone! 



43 «Quando lo spirito immondo esce da un uomo, si aggira per luoghi aridi cercando riposo e non lo trova. 44 Allora dice: “Ritornerò nella mia casa da dove sono uscito”; e quando ci arriva, la trova vuota, spazzata e adorna. 45 Allora va e prende con sé altri sette spiriti peggiori di lui, ed entrati vi prendono dimora; e l’ultima condizione di quell’uomo diventa peggiore della prima. Così avverrà anche a questa malvagia generazione». 



46 Mentre Gesù parlava ancora alle folle, ecco sua madre e i suoi fratelli che, stando di fuori, cercavano di parlargli. 47 {E uno gli disse: «Tua madre e i tuoi fratelli sono là fuori che cercano di parlarti».} 48 Ma egli rispose a colui che gli parlava: «Chi è mia madre, e chi sono i miei fratelli?» 49 E, stendendo la mano verso i suoi discepoli, disse: «Ecco mia madre e i miei fratelli! 50 Poiché chiunque avrà fatto la volontà del Padre mio, che è nei cieli, mi è fratello, sorella e madre».
