Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So

1 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! (Ps 100:5; Ps 105:1) 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble^[1] (Ps 106:10; Isa 62:12; Isa 63:4) 3 and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. 4 Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to a city to dwell in; (De 32:10; Ps 107:36; Ps 107:40) 5 hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. 7 He led them by a straight way till they reached a city to dwell in. (Ezr 8:21; Ps 107:4) 8 Let them thank the Lord for his steadfast love, for his wondrous works to the children of man! 12 So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor; they fell down, with none to help. (Ps 22:11) 13 Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. 23 Some went down to the sea in ships, doing business on the great waters; (Isa 42:10) 24 they saw the deeds of the Lord, his wondrous works in the deep. 25 For he commanded and raised the stormy wind, which lifted up the waves of the sea. (Ps 105:31; Ps 105:34; Ps 148:8; Jon 1:4)

36 And there he lets the hungry dwell, and they establish a city to live in; (Ps 107:4; Ps 107:7) 37 they sow fields and plant vineyards and get a fruitful yield. 38 By his blessing they multiply greatly, and he does not let their livestock diminish. (Ge 12:2; Ge 17:20; Ex 1:7) 39 When they are diminished and brought low through oppression, evil, and sorrow, 40 he pours contempt on princes and makes them wander in trackless wastes; (De 32:10; Job 12:21; Job 12:24) 41 but he raises up the needy out of affliction and makes their families like flocks. (1Sa 2:8; Job 21:11; Ps 113:7) 42 The upright see it and are glad, and all wickedness shuts its mouth. در ستايش مهربانی خداوند

1 خداوند را حمد گوييد، زيرا او مهربان است و رحمتش تا ابد باقی است. 2 كسانی كه توسط خداوند نجات يافتهاند به همه اعلام كنند كه خداوند آنها را از دست دشمنانشان نجات داده است 3 و آنها را از سرزمينهای بيگانه، از مشرق و مغرب، شمال و جنوب، به سرزمين خودشان بازگردانيده است. 4 بنیاسرائيل در صحرا آواره و سرگردان بودند و جای معينی برای سكونت نداشتند، 5 گرسنه و تشنه بودند و جانشان به لب رسيده بود. 6-7 آنگاه در گرفتاری خود نزد خداوند فرياد برآوردند و او ايشان را از همهٔ گرفتاريهايشان رهانيد و ايشان را از راه راست به سرزمينی هدايت كرد كه بتوانند در آن زندگی كنند. 8 پس بايد از خداوند، به سبب رحمتش و كارهای بزرگی كه در حق ايشان انجام داده است، تشكر كنند. 9 او جان تشنه و گرسنه را با نعمتهای خوب سير میكند. 10-11 آنانی كه از دستورات خدا سر پيچيدند و به او اهانت كردند، اسير و زندانی شدند و مرگ بر آنها سايه افكند. 12 پشت آنها در زير بار مشقت خم شد و سرانجام افتادند و كسی نبود كه ايشان را ياری كند. 13 آنگاه در گرفتاری خود نزد خداوند فرياد برآوردند و او آنها را از همه گرفتاريهايشان رهانيد. 14 آنها را از مرگی كه بر آنها سايه افكنده بود رهانيد و زنجيرهای اسارت ايشان را پاره كرد. 15 پس بايد از خداوند، به سبب رحمتش و كارهای بزرگی كه در حق آنها انجام داده است، تشكر كنند. 16 او درهای برنجين زندانها را میشكند و زنجيرهای اسارت را پاره میكند. 17 افراد نادان، به سبب رفتار شرارتبار و آلوده به گناه خود، ضعيف و بيمار شدند، 18 اشتهای خود را از دست دادند و جانشان به لب گور رسيد. 19 آنگاه در اين گرفتاری خود، نزد خداوند فرياد برآوردند و او ايشان را از گرفتاريهايشان رهايی بخشيد. 20 او با كلام خود آنها را شفا بخشيد و ايشان را از مرگ نجات داد. 21 پس بايد خداوند را به سبب رحمتش و كارهای بزرگی كه در حق ايشان انجام داده است، سپاس گويند. 22 بايد با تقديم قربانی از او تشكر كنند و با سرودهای شاد كارهايی را كه كرده است اعلام نمايند. 23 برخی به كشتی سوار شده، به دريا رفتند و به كار تجارت مشغول شدند. 24 آنان قدرت خداوند را ديدند و كارهای شگرف او را در اعماق درياها مشاهده نمودند. 25 به امر او بادی شديد ايجاد شد و دريا را طوفانی ساخت، 26 چنانكه كشتیها دستخوش امواج گرديدند و بالا و پايين میرفتند. سرنشينان آنها، از ترس نيمه جان شدند 27 و مثل مستان، تلوتلو خورده، گيج و سرگردان بودند. 28 آنگاه در اين گرفتاری خود نزد خداوند فرياد برآوردند و او ايشان را از اين گرفتاری رهايی بخشيد. 29 خداوند طوفان را آرام و امواج دريا را ساكت ساخت. 30 آنها شاد شدند زيرا از خطر رهايی يافته بودند، و سرانجام به سلامت به بندر مراد خود رسيدند. 31 پس آنها نيز بايد خداوند را به سبب رحمتش و كارهای بزرگی كه در حق ايشان انجام داده است، سپاس گويند. 32 بايد عظمت خداوند را در بين جماعت اسرائيل اعلام كنند و نزد بزرگان قوم، او را ستايش نمايند. 33 خداوند رودخانهها را به خشكی مبدل ساخت و چشمههای آب را خشک كرد. 34 زمين حاصلخيز را به شورهزار تبديل نمود، زيرا ساكنان آن شرور بودند. 35 اما بار ديگر زمينهای شورهزار و خشک را حاصلخيز و پر از چشمههای آب نمود. 36-37 گرسنگان را در آن اسكان داد تا شهرها بسازند، كشت و زرع كنند و تاكستانها ايجاد نمايند. 38 خداوند آنها را بركت داده، فرزندان بسياری به ايشان بخشيد، و نگذاشت رمهها و گلههايشان كم شوند. 39 هنگامی كه قوم خداوند در زير ظلم و ستم رو به نابودی میرفتند، 40 خداوند كسانی را كه بر قومش ظلم میكردند خوار و ذليل ساخت و آنها را در ميان ويرانهها، آواره و سرگردان كرد. 41 او قوم فقير و درماندهٔ خود را از زير بار سختيها رهانيد و فرزندان و گلههای ايشان را افزونی بخشيد. 42 نيكان اين را ديده، شاد خواهند شد اما بدكاران خاموش خواهند شد. 43 خردمندان دربارهٔ اينها فكر كنند و رحمت و محبت خداوند را به ياد داشته باشند.
