1In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, saying, (1Ch 6:39; Ezr 6:14; Ne 12:4; Ne 12:16; Hag 1:1; Mt 23:35)2“The Lord was very angry with your fathers. 7On the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month of Shebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, son of Iddo, saying, (Zec 1:1)8“I saw in the night, and behold, a man riding on a red horse! He was standing among the myrtle trees in the glen, and behind him were red, sorrel, and white horses. (Zec 6:2; Re 6:4; Re 6:8)9Then I said, ‘What are these, my lord?’ The angel who talked with me said to me, ‘I will show you what they are.’ (Re 22:6)10So the man who was standing among the myrtle trees answered, ‘These are they whom the Lord has sent to patrol the earth.’ (Job 1:7; Zec 1:8; Zec 6:7; Heb 1:14)11And they answered the angel of the Lord who was standing among the myrtle trees, and said, ‘We have patrolled the earth, and behold, all the earth remains at rest.’ (Zec 1:9; Zec 1:10; Zec 1:15)12Then the angel of the Lord said, ‘O Lord of hosts, how long will you have no mercy on Jerusalem and the cities of Judah, against which you have been angry these seventy years?’ (Ps 80:4; Ps 89:46; Ps 102:13; Jer 25:11; Jer 29:10; Hab 2:6; Zec 1:9; Zec 7:5; Re 6:10)13And the Lord answered gracious and comforting words to the angel who talked with me. A Vision of Horns and Craftsmen
18[1] And I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, four horns! (1Ki 22:11)19And I said to the angel who talked with me, “What are these?” And he said to me, “These are the horns that have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.” (Zec 1:9; Zec 1:18)20Then the Lord showed me four craftsmen.21And I said, “What are these coming to do?” He said, “These are the horns that scattered Judah, so that no one raised his head. And these have come to terrify them, to cast down the horns of the nations who lifted up their horns against the land of Judah to scatter it.” (De 28:26; Ps 75:4; Jer 7:33; Zec 1:18)

Da kehrten sie um und sagten: »Wie der HERR Zebaoth vorhatte, uns zu tun nach unsern Wegen und Taten, so hat er uns auch getan.«
Die erste Vision: der Mann auf dem roten Pferd
7Am vierundzwanzigsten Tage des elften Monats – das ist der Monat Schebat – im zweiten Jahr des Königs Darius geschah das Wort des HERRN zu Sacharja, dem Sohn Berechjas, des Sohnes Iddos, dem Propheten:8Ich sah in dieser Nacht, und siehe, ein Mann saß auf einem roten Pferde, und er hielt zwischen den Myrten in der Tiefe, und hinter ihm waren rote, braune und weiße Pferde. (Zec 6:1)9Und ich sprach: Mein Herr, wer sind diese? Und der Engel, der mit mir redete, sprach zu mir: Ich will dir zeigen, wer diese sind.10Und der Mann, der zwischen den Myrten hielt, antwortete: Diese sind’s, die der HERR ausgesandt hat, die Lande zu durchziehen.11Sie aber antworteten dem Engel des HERRN, der zwischen den Myrten stand, und sprachen: Wir haben die Lande durchzogen, und siehe, die ganze Erde liegt ruhig und still.12Da hob der Engel des HERRN an und sprach: HERR Zebaoth, wie lange noch willst du dich nicht erbarmen über Jerusalem und über die Städte Judas, über die du zornig gewesen bist diese siebzig Jahre? (Ps 79:5; Ps 102:14; Jer 25:11; Jer 29:10; Da 9:2)13Und der HERR antwortete dem Engel, der mit mir redete, freundliche Worte und tröstliche Worte.14Und der Engel, der mit mir redete, sprach zu mir: Predige und sprich: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Ich eifere für Jerusalem und Zion mit großem Eifer15und bin sehr zornig über die stolzen Völker; denn ich war nur ein wenig zornig, sie aber halfen zum Verderben. (Isa 47:6; Na 1:2; Hab 3:12)16Darum, so spricht der HERR: Ich will mich wieder Jerusalem zuwenden mit Barmherzigkeit, und mein Haus soll darin wieder aufgebaut werden, spricht der HERR Zebaoth, und die Messschnur soll über Jerusalem gespannt werden. (Zec 8:3)17Und weiter predige und sprich: So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Es sollen meine Städte wieder Überfluss haben an Gutem, und der HERR wird Zion wieder trösten und wird Jerusalem wieder erwählen. 7Le vingt-quatrième jour du onzième mois, qui est le mois de Shebat, la deuxième année du règne de Darius, la parole de l'Eternel fut adressée au prophète Zacharie, fils de Bérékia et petit-fils d'Iddo.8J'ai eu une vision pendant la nuit: un homme monté sur un cheval roux se tenait parmi des myrtes dans un creux. Il y avait derrière lui des chevaux roux, bais et blancs.9J'ai dit: «Qui sont ces chevaux, mon seigneur?» L'ange qui me parlait m'a dit: «Je vais te montrer qui sont ces chevaux.»10L'homme qui se tenait parmi les myrtes a pris la parole et a dit: «Ce sont ceux que l'Eternel a envoyés pour parcourir la terre.»11Ils se sont adressés à l'ange de l'Eternel, qui se tenait parmi les myrtes, et ont dit: «Nous avons parcouru la terre et nous avons vu que toute la terre est tranquille, en paix.»12Alors l'ange de l'Eternel a pris la parole et a dit: «Eternel, maître de l'univers, jusqu'à quand refuseras-tu d'avoir compassion de Jérusalem et des villes de Juda, contre lesquelles tu es en colère depuis 70 ans?»13L'Eternel a répondu par de bonnes paroles, par des paroles de consolation, à l'ange qui me parlait.14L'ange qui me parlait m'a dit: «Proclame: ‘Voici ce que dit l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers: J'éprouve une grande jalousie envers Jérusalem et Sion,15et une grande irritation contre les nations insouciantes, car je n'étais que peu irrité, mais elles ont contribué au mal.16C'est pourquoi, voici ce que dit l'Eternel: Je reviens à Jérusalem avec compassion. Ma maison y sera reconstruite, déclare l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers, et l'on étendra le ruban à mesurer sur Jérusalem.’17»Proclame encore: ‘Voici ce que dit l'Eternel, le maître de l'univers: Mes villes auront encore des biens en abondance; l'Eternel consolera encore Sion, il choisira encore Jérusalem.’»
