Der heilige Gott

1 Der HERR ist König, darum zittern die Völker; er sitzt über den Cherubim, darum bebt die Welt. (Ps 18:11; Ps 93:1) 2 Der HERR ist groß in Zion und erhaben über alle Völker. 3 Preisen sollen sie deinen großen und wunderbaren Namen; denn er ist heilig. 4 Die Stärke des Königs ist, dass er das Recht liebt. Du hast bestimmt, was richtig ist, du schaffest Recht und Gerechtigkeit in Jakob. (Isa 9:6) 5 Erhebet den HERRN, unsern Gott, / betet an vor dem Schemel seiner Füße; denn er ist heilig. (1Ch 28:2; Ps 132:7; La 2:1) 6 Mose und Aaron unter seinen Priestern / und Samuel unter denen, die seinen Namen anrufen, die riefen an den HERRN, und er erhörte sie. 7 Er redete mit ihnen aus der Wolkensäule; sie hielten seine Zeugnisse und Gebote, die er ihnen gab. 8 HERR, du bist unser Gott, du erhörtest sie; du, Gott, vergabst ihnen und straftest ihr Tun. (Ex 34:7) 9 Erhebet den HERRN, unsern Gott, / und betet an auf seinem heiligen Berge; denn der HERR, unser Gott, ist heilig.

Dieu, le Roi juste et saint

1 L'Eternel règne: les peuples tremblent; il siège entre les chérubins: la terre tremble. 2 L'Eternel est grand dans Sion, il domine tous les peuples. 3 Qu'on célèbre ton nom grand et redoutable: il est saint! 4 Qu'on célèbre la force du roi qui aime le droit! Tu établis l'équité, tu exerces le droit et la justice en Jacob. 5 Proclamez la grandeur de l'Eternel, notre Dieu, et prosternez-vous à ses pieds: il est saint! 6 Moïse et Aaron parmi ses prêtres, et Samuel parmi ceux qui faisaient appel à son nom, s'adressaient à l'Eternel, et il les exauçait. 7 Il leur parlait dans la colonne de nuée; ils ont respecté ses commandements et la loi qu'il leur avait donnée. 8 Eternel, notre Dieu, tu les as exaucés, tu as été pour eux un Dieu de pardon, mais tu les as punis de leurs fautes. 9 Proclamez la grandeur de l'Eternel, notre Dieu, et prosternez-vous sur sa montagne sainte, car il est saint, l'Eternel, notre Dieu!
