(Ps 56:6)3They make their tongue sharp as a serpent’s, and under their lips is the venom of asps. (Ps 10:7; Ps 52:2; Ps 58:4; Ro 3:13)4Guard me, O Lord, from the hands of the wicked; preserve me from violent men, who have planned to trip up my feet. (Ps 140:1)5The arrogant have hidden a trap for me, and with cords they have spread a net;[1] beside the way they have set snares for me. (Job 18:8; Ps 35:7; Ps 64:5; Ps 141:9; Ps 142:3; Jer 18:22)6I say to the Lord, You are my God; give ear to the voice of my pleas for mercy, O Lord! (Ps 28:2; Ps 31:22; Ps 130:2; Ps 142:5)7O Lord, my Lord, the strength of my salvation, you have covered my head in the day of battle. (Ps 28:8)8Grant not, O Lord, the desires of the wicked; do not further their[2] evil plot, or they will be exalted! (Ps 35:25; Isa 14:21)9As for the head of those who surround me, let the mischief of their lips overwhelm them! (Ps 7:16; Pr 12:13; Pr 18:7)10Let burning coals fall upon them! Let them be cast into fire, into miry pits, no more to rise! (Ps 11:6; Ps 18:13)11Let not the slanderer be established in the land; let evil hunt down the violent man speedily!12I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and will execute justice for the needy. (Ro 3:13)5Bewahre mich, HERR, vor den Händen des Frevlers; behüte mich vor den Gewalttätigen, die mich zu Fall bringen wollen.6Die Hoffärtigen legen mir heimlich Schlingen / und breiten Stricke aus zum Netz und stellen mir Fallen an den Weg. Sela.7Ich aber sage zum HERRN: Du bist mein Gott; HERR, vernimm die Stimme meines Flehens! (Ps 22:11)8HERR, mein Herr, meine starke Hilfe, du beschirmst mein Haupt zur Zeit des Streites.9HERR, gib dem Frevler nicht, was er begehrt! Was er sinnt, lass nicht gelingen, sie könnten sich sonst überheben. Sela.10Das Unglück, über das meine Feinde beraten, komme über sie selber.11Er möge feurige Kohlen über sie schütten; er möge sie stürzen in Gruben, dass sie nicht mehr aufstehen.12Ein böses Maul wird kein Glück haben auf Erden; den Gewalttäter wird das Unglück jagen und stürzen.13Denn ich weiß, dass der HERR des Elenden Sache führen und den Armen Recht schaffen wird.14Ja, die Gerechten werden deinen Namen preisen, und die Frommen werden vor deinem Angesicht bleiben.

Ils méditent de me faire tomber.6Des orgueilleux me préparent un piège avec des cordes, ils déploient un filet le long du chemin, ils me tendent une embuscade. – Pause.7Je dis à l'Eternel: «Tu es mon Dieu!» Eternel, prête l'oreille à mes supplications!8Eternel, Seigneur, mon puissant Sauveur, tu protèges ma tête le jour du combat.9Eternel, n'accomplis pas les désirs du méchant, ne laisse pas réussir ses projets, car il en tirerait de l'orgueil. – Pause.10Que le péché de leurs lèvres retombe sur la tête de ceux qui m'encerclent!11Que des charbons ardents soient déversés sur eux! Qu'ils soient précipités dans le feu, dans des gouffres d'où ils ne se relèvent plus!12Le calomniateur ne subsistera pas sur la terre, et l'homme violent sera sans répit pourchassé par le malheur.13Je le sais, l'Eternel fait droit au malheureux, il rend justice aux pauvres.14Oui, les justes célébreront ton nom, les hommes droits habiteront en ta présence.
