1Canto dei pellegrinaggi. A te alzo gli occhi, a te che siedi nei cieli!2Ecco, come gli occhi dei servi guardano la mano del loro padrone, come gli occhi della serva guardano la mano della sua padrona, così gli occhi nostri sono rivolti al Signore, al nostro Dio, finché egli abbia pietà di noi.3Abbi pietà di noi, Signore, abbi pietà di noi, perché siamo più che sazi di disprezzo.4L’anima nostra è più che sazia dello scherno degli orgogliosi e del disprezzo dei superbi.
