Let the Redeemed of the Lord Say So

1 Oh give thanks to the Lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever! (Ps 100:5; Ps 105:1) 2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he has redeemed from trouble^[1] (Ps 106:10; Isa 62:12; Isa 63:4) 3 and gathered in from the lands, from the east and from the west, from the north and from the south. 4 Some wandered in desert wastes, finding no way to a city to dwell in; (De 32:10; Ps 107:36; Ps 107:40) 5 hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted within them. 36 And there he lets the hungry dwell, and they establish a city to live in; (Ps 107:4; Ps 107:7) 37 they sow fields and plant vineyards and get a fruitful yield. 38 By his blessing they multiply greatly, and he does not let their livestock diminish. Danklied der Erlösten

1 Danket dem HERRN; denn er ist freundlich, und seine Güte währet ewiglich. (Ps 106:1) 2 So sollen sagen, die erlöst sind durch den HERRN, die er aus der Not erlöst hat, 3 die er aus den Ländern zusammengebracht hat von Osten und Westen, von Norden und Süden. 4 Die irregingen in der Wüste, auf ungebahntem Wege, und fanden keine Stadt, in der sie wohnen konnten, 5 die hungrig und durstig waren und deren Seele verschmachtete, 6 die dann zum HERRN riefen in ihrer Not und er errettete sie aus ihren Ängsten 7 und führte sie den richtigen Weg, dass sie kamen zur Stadt, in der sie wohnen konnten: 8 Die sollen dem HERRN danken für seine Güte / und für seine Wunder, die er an den Menschenkindern tut, 9 dass er sättigt die durstige Seele und die Hungrigen füllt mit Gutem. (Lu 1:53) 10 Die da sitzen mussten in Finsternis und Dunkel, gefangen in Zwang und Eisen, 11 weil sie Gottes Worten ungehorsam waren und den Ratschluss des Höchsten verachtet hatten, 12 sodass er ihr Herz durch Unglück beugte und sie stürzten und ihnen niemand half, 13 die dann zum HERRN riefen in ihrer Not und er half ihnen aus ihren Ängsten 14 und führte sie aus Finsternis und Dunkel und zerriss ihre Bande: 15 Die sollen dem HERRN danken für seine Güte / und für seine Wunder, die er an den Menschenkindern tut, 16 dass er zerbrach eherne Türen und zerschlug eiserne Riegel. 17 Die Toren, die geplagt waren um ihrer Übertretung und um ihrer Sünde willen, 18 dass ihnen ekelte vor aller Speise und sie nahe waren den Pforten des Todes, 19 die dann zum HERRN riefen in ihrer Not und er half ihnen aus ihren Ängsten, 20 er sandte sein Wort und machte sie gesund und errettete sie, dass sie nicht starben: 21 Die sollen dem HERRN danken für seine Güte / und für seine Wunder, die er an den Menschenkindern tut, 22 und sollen Dank opfern und erzählen seine Werke mit Freuden. 23 Die mit Schiffen auf dem Meere fuhren und trieben ihren Handel auf großen Wassern, 24 die des HERRN Werke erfahren haben und seine Wunder im Meer, 25 wenn er sprach und einen Sturmwind erregte, der die Wellen erhob, (Ps 104:4; Jon 1:4) 26 und sie gen Himmel fuhren und in den Abgrund sanken, dass ihre Seele vor Angst verzagte, 27 dass sie taumelten und wankten wie ein Trunkener und wussten keinen Rat mehr, 28 die dann zum HERRN schrien in ihrer Not und er führte sie aus ihren Ängsten 29 und stillte das Ungewitter, dass die Wellen sich legten 30 und sie froh wurden, dass es still geworden war und er sie zum ersehnten Hafen brachte: 31 Die sollen dem HERRN danken für seine Güte / und für seine Wunder, die er an den Menschenkindern tut, 32 und ihn in der Gemeinde preisen und bei den Alten rühmen. 33 Er machte Ströme zur Wüste und Wasserquellen zum öden Land, 34 dass fruchtbares Land zur Salzwüste wurde wegen der Bosheit derer, die dort wohnten. (Ge 19:24) 35 Er machte das Trockene wieder wasserreich und gab dem dürren Lande Wasserquellen (Isa 41:18) 36 und ließ die Hungrigen dort bleiben, dass sie eine Stadt bauten, in der sie wohnen konnten, 37 und Äcker besäten und Weinberge pflanzten, die reichlich Früchte trugen. 38 Und er segnete sie, dass sie sich sehr mehrten, und gab ihnen viel Vieh. 39 Aber sie wurden gering an Zahl und geschwächt von der Last des Unglücks und des Kummers. 40 Er schüttete Verachtung aus auf die Fürsten und ließ sie irren in der Wüste, wo kein Weg ist; (Job 12:21) 41 aber die Armen schützte er vor Elend und mehrte ihre Geschlechter wie eine Herde. 42 Das werden die Aufrichtigen sehen und sich freuen, und aller Bosheit wird das Maul gestopft werden. (Job 22:19) 43 Wer ist weise und behält dies? Der wird merken, wie viel Wohltaten der HERR erweist.

1 ¡Alabad a YHVH, porque Él es bueno, Porque para siempre es su misericordia! 2 Díganlo los redimidos de YHVH, Los que ha redimido del poder del enemigo, 3 Y los ha congregado de las tierras, Del oriente y del occidente, Del Aquilón y del mar. 4 Deambularon por un desierto solitario y sin camino, Sin hallar ciudad donde vivir, 5 Hambrientos y sedientos, Su alma desfallecía en ellos. 6 Pero clamaron a YHVH en su angustia, Y los libró de su tribulación. 7 Los condujo por un camino llano, Para que dieran con una ciudad habitable. 8 ¡Den gracias a YHVH por su misericordia, Y por sus maravillas para con los hijos del hombre! 9 Porque Él sacia al alma sedienta, Y colma de bienes al alma hambrienta. 10 Moraban en tinieblas y sombra de muerte, Aprisionados en aflicción y en cadenas, 11 Por cuanto fueron rebeldes a las palabras de ’El, Y aborrecieron el consejo de ’Elyón. 12 Por eso humilló sus corazones con duros trabajos, Tropezaron, y no hubo quien ayudara. 13 Pero en su angustia clamaron a YHVH, Y los libró de su tribulación; 14 Los sacó de las tinieblas y de la sombra de muerte, Y desligó sus ataduras. 15 ¡Den gracias a YHVH por su misericordia Y por sus maravillas para con los hijos del hombre! 16 Porque quebró las puertas de bronce, Y arrancó los cerrojos de hierro. 17 Andaban afligidos por sus rebeliones, Ayunando por sus maldades, 18 Aborrecieron todo manjar, Y ya tocaban las puertas de la muerte, 19 Pero clamaron a YHVH en su angustia, Y Él los libró de su tribulación; 20 Envió su palabra y los sanó, Y los libró del sepulcro. 21 ¡Den gracias a YHVH por su misericordia, Y por sus maravillas para con los hijos del hombre! 22 Y ofrezcan sacrificios de acción de gracias, Y publiquen sus obras con cánticos de júbilo. 23 Se adentraron en naves por el mar, Para traficar en las inmensas aguas, 24 Contemplando las obras de YHVH, Sus maravillas en lo profundo. 25 Mandó alzarse un viento tempestuoso, Que encrespó el oleaje. 26 Subían a los cielos, bajaban al abismo, Sus almas revueltas por las náuseas, 27 Rodaban y se tambaleaban como ebrios, De nada les valía su pericia. 28 Pero clamaron a YHVH en su angustia, Y los libró de su tribulación. 29 Hizo acallar la tormenta, Enmudeció el oleaje, 30 Se alegraron de la bonanza; Los condujo al puerto que anhelaban. 31 ¡Den gracias a YHVH por su misericordia, Y por sus maravillas para con los hijos del hombre! 32 Exáltenlo en la congregación del pueblo, Y alábenlo en la reunión de los ancianos. 33 Convierte ríos en un desierto, Y los manantiales en sequedales, 34 La tierra fértil en estéril, Por la maldad de quienes la habitan. 35 Vuelve el desierto en estanques, Y la tierra seca en manantiales, 36 Allí asienta a los hambrientos, Para que tengan ciudad habitable, 37 Siembren campos y planten viñas, Que den fruto en la cosecha. 38 Los bendice, y se multiplican, Y no deja que disminuya su ganado. 39 Cuando abatidos por la carga, menguan, A causa de infortunios y congojas, 40 Él esparce menosprecio sobre los nobles, Y los descarría por un yermo sin camino. 41 Levanta al pobre de la miseria, Y multiplica sus familias como rebaños. 42 Los rectos lo verán y se alegrarán, Y la iniquidad tendrá que cerrar su boca. 43 Aquel que sea sabio y guarde estas cosas, Entenderá la gran misericordia de YHVH.

2 Qu’ils le proclament, ╵tous ceux que l’Eternel a délivrés, qu’il a sauvés des mains de l’oppresseur, 3 et qu’il a rassemblés de tous pays: de l’est, de l’ouest, du nord et du midi^[2]. 4 Les uns erraient dans le désert ╵où il n’y a personne, sans trouver le chemin ╵d’une ville habitée. 5 Ils étaient affamés, ils avaient soif, et ils étaient tout près de défaillir. 6 Dans leur détresse, ╵ils crièrent à l’Eternel, et il les délivra de leurs angoisses. 7 Il les mena par un chemin tout droit et les dirigea vers une ville habitable. 8 Qu’ils louent donc l’Eternel ╵pour son amour, pour ses merveilles ╵en faveur des humains! 9 Il a désaltéré les assoiffés, il a comblé de biens les affamés. 10 D’autres se trouvaient dans des lieux, ╵où régnaient d’épaisses ténèbres ╵et l’obscurité la plus noire, enchaînés dans la misère et les fers 11 pour avoir bravé les commandements de Dieu et méprisé les desseins du Très-Haut. 12 Il les humilia ╵en les astreignant à un dur labeur: ils succombaient, privés de tout secours. 13 Dans leur détresse, ╵ils crièrent à l’Eternel, et il les délivra de leurs angoisses. 14 Il les fit sortir des lieux sombres ╵et ténébreux, il rompit les liens qui les retenaient. 15 Qu’ils louent donc l’Eternel pour son amour, pour ses merveilles ╵en faveur des humains! 16 Car il a brisé les portes de bronze et il a rompu les verrous de fer. 17 Des insensés, vivant dans le péché, s’étaient rendus malheureux par leurs fautes. 18 Tout aliment répugnait à leur bouche, ils approchaient des portes de la mort. 19 Dans leur détresse, ╵ils crièrent à l’Eternel, et il les délivra de leurs angoisses. 20 Il dit un mot et les guérit, et il les fit échapper à la tombe. 21 Qu’ils louent donc l’Eternel pour son amour, pour ses merveilles ╵en faveur des humains! 22 Et qu’ils lui offrent ╵des sacrifices de reconnaissance; qu’avec des cris de joie, ╵ils racontent ses œuvres. 23 D’autres s’étaient embarqués sur la mer, ╵dans des bateaux et ils vaquaient à leurs occupations ╵sur de profondes eaux. 24 Ceux-là ont vu les œuvres ╵de l’Eternel, et ses prodiges sur la haute mer. 25 A sa parole, ╵il fit lever un vent impétueux qui souleva les flots. 26 Tantôt ils étaient portés jusqu’au ciel, tantôt ils retombaient dans les abîmes, et ainsi mis à mal, ils défaillaient. 27 Pris de vertige, ils titubaient comme ivres, et tout leur savoir-faire ╵s’était évanoui. 28 Dans leur détresse, ╵ils crièrent à l’Eternel, et il les délivra de leurs angoisses. 29 Il calma la tempête, et fit taire les flots ╵qui s’étaient soulevés contre eux. 30 Ce calme fut pour eux cause de joie et Dieu les guida au port désiré. 31 Qu’ils louent donc l’Eternel pour son amour, pour ses merveilles ╵en faveur des humains! 32 Qu’ils disent sa grandeur ╵dans l’assemblée du peuple, et qu’ils le louent ╵au conseil des autorités^[3]. 33 Il peut faire tarir les fleuves ╵et les transformer en désert, ou changer les sources d’eau en lieux secs; 34 d’un sol fertile, il fait une saline^[4] quand ses habitants pratiquent le mal. 35 Mais il change aussi le désert en lac et la terre aride en sources d’eau vive, 36 et il y établit ╵ceux qui ont faim, pour qu’ils y fondent ╵une ville habitable, 37 qu’ils ensemencent des champs et plantent des vignes qui porteront des fruits en abondance. 38 Il les bénit en sorte qu’ils se multiplient, et il ne laisse pas ╵décroître leur bétail. 39 D’autres sont réduits à un petit nombre, ╵écrasés sous le poids de l’oppression, ╵du malheur et de la souffrance. 40 Dieu répand le mépris sur les puissants, les fait errer dans un désert sans route. 41 Mais il délivre le pauvre de la détresse et rend les familles fécondes ╵comme le petit bétail. 42 Les hommes droits le voient et ils s’en réjouissent, mais toute méchanceté a la bouche close. 43 Que celui qui est sage ╵prête attention à tout cela, et qu’il médite sur l’amour ╵de l’Eternel.
