Psalm 62

1 For God alone my soul waits in silence; from him comes my salvation. (Ps 33:20; Ps 37:7) 2 He alone is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be greatly shaken. (Ps 9:9; Ps 10:6; Ps 18:2) 3 How long will all of you attack a man to batter him, like a leaning wall, a tottering fence? (Isa 30:13) 4 They only plan to thrust him down from his high position. They take pleasure in falsehood. They bless with their mouths, but inwardly they curse. Selah (Job 13:11; Ps 28:3) 5 For God alone, O my soul, wait in silence, for my hope is from him. (Ps 1:1) 6 He only is my rock and my salvation, my fortress; I shall not be shaken. (Ps 2:1) 7 On God rests my salvation and my glory; my mighty rock, my refuge is God. (Ps 3:8; Ps 14:6) 8 Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Selah (Ps 7:1; Ps 37:3; Ps 42:4) 9 Those of low estate are but a breath; those of high estate are a delusion; in the balances they go up; they are together lighter than a breath. (Ps 39:5; Ps 116:11; Isa 40:17) 10 Put no trust in extortion; set no vain hopes on robbery; if riches increase, set not your heart on them. (Ps 49:6; Pr 1:10; Lu 12:15) 11 Once God has spoken; twice have I heard this: that power belongs to God, (Job 33:14; Job 40:5; Ps 59:9; Ps 59:17; Re 19:1) 12 and that to you, O Lord, belongs steadfast love. For you will render to a man according to his work. (Job 34:11; Ps 86:5; Ps 86:15; Ps 103:8; Da 9:9)

Psaume de David. 2 Oui, c'est en Dieu que mon âme se confie; De lui vient mon salut. 3 Oui, c'est lui qui est mon rocher et mon salut; Ma haute retraite: je ne chancellerai guère. 4 Jusqu'à quand vous jetterez-vous sur un homme, Chercherez-vous tous à l'abattre, Comme une muraille qui penche, Comme une clôture qu'on renverse? 5 Ils conspirent pour le précipiter de son poste élevé; Ils prennent plaisir au mensonge; Ils bénissent de leur bouche, Et ils maudissent dans leur coeur. -Pause. 6 Oui, mon âme, confie-toi en Dieu! Car de lui vient mon espérance. 7 Oui, c'est lui qui est mon rocher et mon salut; Ma haute retraite: je ne chancellerai pas. 8 Sur Dieu reposent mon salut et ma gloire; Le rocher de ma force, mon refuge, est en Dieu. 9 En tout temps, peuples, confiez-vous en lui, Répandez vos coeurs en sa présence! Dieu est notre refuge, -Pause. 10 Oui, vanité, les fils de l'homme! Mensonge, les fils de l'homme! Dans une balance ils monteraient Tous ensemble, plus légers qu'un souffle. 11 Ne vous confiez pas dans la violence, Et ne mettez pas un vain espoir dans la rapine; Quand les richesses s'accroissent, N'y attachez pas votre coeur. 12 Dieu a parlé une fois; Deux fois j'ai entendu ceci: C'est que la force est à Dieu. 13 A toi aussi, Seigneur! la bonté; Car tu rends à chacun selon ses oeuvres.
