1 A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. (Ps 34:9; Ps 78:52; Ps 80:1; Isa 40:11; Jer 31:10; Eze 34:11; Eze 34:23; Mt 6:33; Joh 10:11; Heb 13:20; 1Pe 2:25; 1Pe 5:4) 2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.[1] (Eze 34:14; Joh 10:9) 3 He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness[2] for his name’s sake. 1 Ein Lied Davids. Der HERR ist mein Hirt; darum leide ich keine Not. (Ps 74:1; Isa 40:11; Eze 34:11; Mic 7:14; Joh 10:11; Joh 10:27; Re 7:17) 2 Er bringt mich auf saftige Weiden, lässt mich ruhen am frischen Wasser 3 und gibt mir neue Kraft. Auf sicheren Wegen leitet er mich, dafür bürgt er mit seinem Namen. 4 Und muss ich auch durchs finstere Tal – ich fürchte kein Unheil! Du, HERR, bist ja bei mir; du schützt mich und du führst mich, das macht mir Mut.[1] (Ps 46:3) 5 Vor den Augen meiner Feinde deckst du mir deinen Tisch; festlich nimmst du mich bei dir auf[2] und füllst mir den Becher randvoll.
