Die Erlösten aus Israel und allen Nationen

1 Nach diesem sah ich vier Engel auf den vier Ecken der Erde stehen; die hielten die vier Winde der Erde fest, damit kein Wind wehte auf der Erde noch auf dem Meer noch über irgendeinen Baum. (Jer 49,36; Hes 7,2; Hes 37,9; Dan 7,2; Sach 6,5; Mt 24,31; Offb 20,8)

2 Und ich sah einen anderen Engel von Sonnenaufgang heraufsteigen, der das Siegel des lebendigen Gottes hatte; und er rief mit lauter Stimme den vier Engeln zu, denen gegeben worden war, der Erde und dem Meer Schaden zuzufügen, 3 und sagte: Schadet nicht der Erde noch dem Meer noch den Bäumen, bis wir die Knechte^[1] unseres Gottes an ihren Stirnen versiegelt haben. (Hes 9,4; Offb 9,4) 4 Und ich hörte die Zahl der Versiegelten: 144 000 Versiegelte, aus jedem Stamm der Söhne Israel. (Offb 14,1) 5 Aus dem Stamm Juda 12 000 Versiegelte, aus dem Stamm Ruben 12 000, aus dem Stamm Gad 12 000, (1Mo 29,32; 1Mo 29,35; 1Mo 30,11) 6 aus dem Stamm Asser 12 000, aus dem Stamm Naftali 12 000, aus dem Stamm Manasse 12 000, (1Mo 30,8; 1Mo 30,13; 1Mo 41,51) 7 aus dem Stamm Simeon 12 000, aus dem Stamm Levi 12 000, aus dem Stamm Issaschar 12 000, (1Mo 29,33; 1Mo 29,34; 1Mo 30,18) 8 aus dem Stamm Sebulon 12 000, aus dem Stamm Josef 12 000, aus dem Stamm Benjamin 12 000 Versiegelte. (1Mo 30,20; 1Mo 30,24; 1Mo 35,18) 9 Nach diesem sah ich: Und siehe, eine große Volksmenge, die niemand zählen konnte, aus jeder Nation und aus Stämmen und Völkern und Sprachen, stand vor dem Thron und vor dem Lamm, bekleidet mit weißen Gewändern und Palmen in ihren Händen. (Offb 3,4) 10 Und sie rufen mit lauter Stimme und sagen: Das Heil unserem Gott, der auf dem Thron sitzt, und dem Lamm! (Offb 4,2; Offb 19,1) 11 Und alle Engel standen rings um den Thron und die Ältesten und die vier lebendigen Wesen, und sie fielen vor dem Thron auf ihre Angesichter und beteten Gott an (Offb 4,10) 12 und sagten: Amen^[2]! Den Lobpreis und die Herrlichkeit und die Weisheit und die Danksagung und die Ehre und die Macht und die Stärke unserem Gott von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit^[3]! Amen^[4]. (Ps 29,1; Ps 41,14; Offb 4,11) 13 Und einer von den Ältesten begann und sprach zu mir: Diese, die mit weißen Gewändern bekleidet sind – wer sind sie, und woher sind sie gekommen? 14 Und ich sprach zu ihm: Mein Herr, du weißt es. Und er sprach zu mir: Diese sind es, die aus der großen Bedrängnis kommen, und sie haben ihre Gewänder gewaschen und sie weiß gemacht im Blut des Lammes. (Jer 30,7; Mt 24,21; Offb 1,5; Offb 3,10)

15 Darum sind sie vor dem Thron Gottes und dienen ihm Tag und Nacht in seinem Tempel; und der auf dem Thron sitzt, wird über ihnen wohnen. (Offb 21,3; Offb 22,3) 16 Sie werden nicht mehr hungern, auch werden sie nicht mehr dürsten, noch wird die Sonne auf sie fallen noch irgendeine Glut; (Ps 121,6; Jes 49,10; Joh 6,35) 17 denn das Lamm, das in der Mitte des Thrones ist, wird sie hüten und sie leiten zu Wasserquellen des Lebens, und Gott wird jede Träne von ihren Augen abwischen. 1 And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree. 2 And I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels, to whom it was given to hurt the earth and the sea, 3 Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads. 4 And I heard the number of them which were sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty and four thousand of all the tribes of the children of Israel. 5 Of the tribe of Juda were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Reuben were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Gad were sealed twelve thousand. 6 Of the tribe of Aser were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin were sealed twelve thousand. 9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. 13 And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? 14 And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb. 15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them. 16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. 17 For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
