Josef gibt sich seinen Brüdern zu erkennen

1 Da konnte Josef sich nicht ⟨mehr⟩ bezwingen vor all denen, die um ihn her standen, und er rief: Lasst jedermann von mir hinausgehen! So stand niemand bei ihm, als Josef sich seinen Brüdern zu erkennen gab. (1Mo 42,24; Sach 12,10) 2 Und er erhob seine Stimme mit Weinen, dass die Ägypter es hörten, und ⟨auch⟩ das Haus des Pharao hörte es. (1Mo 42,24; Sach 12,10) 3 Und Josef sagte zu seinen Brüdern: Ich bin Josef. Lebt mein Vater noch? Seine Brüder aber konnten ihm nicht antworten, denn sie waren bestürzt^[1] vor ihm. (Apg 7,13) 4 Da sagte Josef zu seinen Brüdern: Tretet doch zu mir heran! Und sie traten heran. Und er sagte: Ich bin Josef, euer Bruder, den ihr nach Ägypten verkauft habt. (1Mo 37,28) 5 Und nun seid nicht bekümmert, und werdet nicht zornig ⟨auf euch selbst⟩^[2], dass ihr mich hierher verkauft habt! Denn zur Erhaltung des Lebens hat Gott mich vor euch hergesandt. 6 Denn schon zwei Jahre ist die Hungersnot im Land, und ⟨es dauert⟩ noch fünf Jahre, dass es kein Pflügen und Ernten gibt. 7 Doch Gott hat mich vor euch hergesandt, um euch einen Rest zu setzen auf Erden und euch am Leben zu erhalten für eine große Rettung. (1Mo 47,12) 8 Und nun, nicht ihr habt mich hierher gesandt, sondern Gott; und er hat mich zum Vater für den Pharao gemacht und zum Herrn für sein ganzes Haus und zum Herrscher über das ganze Land Ägypten. 9 Eilt und zieht hinauf zu meinem Vater, und sagt zu ihm: »So spricht dein Sohn Josef: Gott hat mich zum Herrn von ganz Ägypten gemacht. Komm zu mir herab, zögere nicht! 10 Du sollst im Land Goschen wohnen und nahe bei mir sein, du und deine Söhne und die Söhne deiner Söhne, deine Schafe und deine Rinder und alles, was du hast. Danach redeten seine Brüder mit ihm. 16 Und das Gerücht wurde im Haus des Pharao gehört, dass man sagte: Josefs Brüder sind gekommen. Und es war gut in den Augen des Pharao und in den Augen seiner Diener. (1Mo 41,37; Apg 7,13) 17 Und der Pharao sprach zu Josef: Sage deinen Brüdern: »Tut dies: Beladet eure Tiere, und zieht hin, geht ins Land Kanaan, 18 und nehmt euren Vater und eure Familien^[3], und kommt zu mir! Ich will euch das Beste des Landes Ägypten geben, und ihr sollt das Fett des Landes essen.« (1Mo 27,28; 1Mo 47,6; Apg 7,14) 19 Du aber hast den Befehl ⟨zu sagen⟩: »Tut dies: Nehmt euch aus dem Land Ägypten Wagen für eure Kinder und für eure Frauen, und holt euren Vater und kommt! (1Mo 46,5) 20 Und seid nicht betrübt wegen eures Hausrates^[4], denn das Beste des ganzen Landes Ägypten soll euch gehören.« (1Mo 47,6; Apg 7,14) 21 Da taten die Söhne Israels so. Und Josef gab ihnen auf den Befehl des Pharao Wagen und gab ihnen Wegzehrung mit auf den Weg. 22 Er gab ihnen allen, einem jeden, Wechselkleider, aber Benjamin gab er dreihundert Silber⟨schekel⟩ und fünf Wechselkleider. (1Mo 43,34; Ri 14,12) 23 Ebenso sandte er seinem Vater zehn Esel, beladen mit dem Besten Ägyptens, und zehn Eselinnen, beladen mit Getreide und Brot und Nahrung für seinen Vater auf den Weg. 24 Und er entließ seine Brüder, und sie zogen hin, und er sagte zu ihnen: Ereifert euch nicht^[5] auf dem Weg! 25 So zogen sie aus Ägypten hinauf und kamen ins Land Kanaan zu ihrem Vater Jakob. (1Mo 42,29) 26 Und sie berichteten ihm: Josef lebt noch, ja, er ist Herrscher über das ganze Land Ägypten. Aber sein Herz blieb kalt, denn er glaubte ihnen nicht. (1Mo 42,29; 1Mo 45,8; Lk 24,11) 27 Da redeten sie zu ihm alle Worte Josefs, die er zu ihnen geredet hatte. Und als er die Wagen sah, die Josef gesandt hatte, um ihn zu holen, da lebte der Geist ihres Vaters Jakob auf. (Spr 25,25) 28 Und Israel sprach: Genug! Mein Sohn Josef lebt noch! Ich will hinziehen und ihn sehen, bevor ich sterbe. (1Mo 46,30)

1 Then Joseph could not refrain himself before all them that stood by him; and he cried, Cause every man to go out from me. And there stood no man with him, while Joseph made himself known unto his brethren. 2 And he wept aloud: and the Egyptians and the house of Pharaoh heard. 3 And Joseph said unto his brethren, I am Joseph; doth my father yet live? And his brethren could not answer him; for they were troubled at his presence. 4 And Joseph said unto his brethren, Come near to me, I pray you. And they came near. And he said, I am Joseph your brother, whom ye sold into Egypt. 5 Now therefore be not grieved, nor angry with yourselves, that ye sold me hither: for God did send me before you to preserve life. 6 For these two years hath the famine been in the land: and yet there are five years, in the which there shall neither be earing nor harvest. 7 And God sent me before you to preserve you a posterity in the earth, and to save your lives by a great deliverance. 8 So now it was not you that sent me hither, but God: and he hath made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt. 9 Haste ye, and go up to my father, and say unto him, Thus saith thy son Joseph, God hath made me lord of all Egypt: come down unto me, tarry not: 10 And thou shalt dwell in the land of Goshen, and thou shalt be near unto me, thou, and thy children, and thy children' children, and thy flocks, and thy herds, and all that thou hast: 11 And there will I nourish thee; for yet there are five years of famine; lest thou, and thy household, and all that thou hast, come to poverty. 12 And, behold, your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin, that it is my mouth that speaketh unto you. 13 And ye shall tell my father of all my glory in Egypt, and of all that ye have seen; and ye shall haste and bring down my father hither. 14 And he fell upon his brother Benjamin' neck, and wept; and Benjamin wept upon his neck. 15 Moreover he kissed all his brethren, and wept upon them: and after that his brethren talked with him. 16 And the fame thereof was heard in Pharaoh' house, saying, Joseph' brethren are come: and it pleased Pharaoh well, and his servants. 17 And Pharaoh said unto Joseph, Say unto thy brethren, This do ye; lade your beasts, and go, get you unto the land of Canaan; 18 And take your father and your households, and come unto me: and I will give you the good of the land of Egypt, and ye shall eat the fat of the land. 19 Now thou art commanded, this do ye; take you wagons out of the land of Egypt for your little ones, and for your wives, and bring your father, and come. 20 Also regard not your stuff; for the good of all the land of Egypt is yours. 21 And the children of Israel did so: and Joseph gave them wagons, according to the commandment of Pharaoh, and gave them provision for the way. 22 To all of them he gave each man changes of raiment; but to Benjamin he gave three hundred pieces of silver, and five changes of raiment. 23 And to his father he sent after this manner ; ten asses laden with the good things of Egypt, and ten she asses laden with corn and bread and meat for his father by the way. 24 So he sent his brethren away, and they departed: and he said unto them, See that ye fall not out by the way. 25 And they went up out of Egypt, and came into the land of Canaan unto Jacob their father, 26 And told him, saying, Joseph is yet alive, and he is governor over all the land of Egypt. And Jacob' heart fainted, for he believed them not. 27 And they told him all the words of Joseph, which he had said unto them: and when he saw the wagons which Joseph had sent to carry him, the spirit of Jacob their father revived: 28 And Israel said, It is enough; Joseph my son is yet alive: I will go and see him before I die.
