Psalm 106

1 Halleluja! Preist den HERRN, denn er ist gut! Denn seine Gnade ⟨währt⟩ ewig. (Ps 100,5; Ps 135,3) 

2 Wer wird ⟨alle⟩ die Machttaten des HERRN erzählen, hören lassen all seinen Ruhm? 

3 Glücklich, die das Recht bewahren, die Gerechtigkeit üben zu aller Zeit! (Jes 56,1) 

4 Gedenke meiner, HERR, in der Zuneigung zu deinem Volk. Suche mich heim mit deiner Rettung, (Ps 25,7; Lk 23,42) 

5 dass ich anschaue das Glück deiner Auserwählten, mich freue an der Freude deiner Nation, mich rühme mit deinem Erbteil. (5Mo 32,9; Ps 105,43) 

6 Wir haben gesündigt samt unseren Vätern, haben unrecht getan, haben gottlos gehandelt. (1Kön 8,47; Esr 9,10; Dan 9,5) 

7 Unsere Väter in Ägypten begriffen nicht deine Wunder, sie gedachten nicht der Menge deiner Gnadenerweise, sie waren widerspenstig am Meer, am Schilfmeer. (2Mo 14,11) 

8 Aber er rettete sie um seines Namens willen, um seine Macht kundzutun. (Ps 23,3; Jes 48,9) 

9 Und er bedrohte das Schilfmeer, und es wurde trocken. Er ließ sie durch die Fluten gehen wie durch eine Wüste. (2Mo 14,29; Jes 63,11) 

10 Er rettete sie aus der Hand dessen, der sie hasste, er erlöste sie aus der Hand des Feindes. (Ps 107,2) 

11 Und das Wasser bedeckte ihre Bedränger, nicht einer von ihnen blieb übrig. (2Mo 14,28; Ps 78,53) 

12 Da glaubten sie seinen Worten, sie sangen sein Lob. (2Mo 14,31; 2Mo 15,1) 

13 Schnell vergaßen sie seine Taten, warteten nicht auf seinen Rat. (Ps 78,11) 

14 Sie gierten voller Begierde in der Wüste, stellten Gott in der Einöde auf die Probe. (4Mo 11,4; Ps 78,18) 

15 Da erfüllte er ihnen ihre Bitte, und er sandte Schwindsucht in ihre Seele. (Ps 78,29) 

16 Sie wurden eifersüchtig auf Mose im Lager, auf Aaron, den Heiligen des HERRN. (4Mo 16,3; 4Mo 16,7) 

17 Die Erde tat sich auf und verschlang Datan und bedeckte die Rotte Abirams. (4Mo 16,31) 

18 Ein Feuer brannte unter ihrer Rotte, eine Flamme verzehrte die Gottlosen. (4Mo 16,35) 

19 Sie machten ein Kalb am Horeb und beugten sich vor einem gegossenen Bild. (2Mo 32,1; Apg 7,41) 

20 Sie vertauschten ihre Herrlichkeit mit dem Bild eines Stieres, der Gras frisst. (2Mo 32,4; Jer 2,11; Röm 1,23) 

21 Sie vergaßen Gott, ihren Retter, der große Dinge getan in Ägypten, (5Mo 32,18; Ps 78,42; Jes 17,10) 

22 Wunder im Lande Hams, Furchtbares am Schilfmeer. (2Mo 14,28; Ps 105,27; Apg 7,36) 

23 Da gedachte er, sie auszurotten, wäre nicht Mose gewesen, sein Erwählter. Der trat in die Bresche vor ihn, um seinen Grimm vom Verderben abzuwenden. (2Mo 32,11) 

24 Und sie verschmähten das kostbare Land, glaubten nicht seinem Wort. (4Mo 13,32; 5Mo 1,32; Jer 3,19) 

25 Sie murrten in ihren Zelten, hörten nicht auf die Stimme des HERRN. (4Mo 14,1) 

26 Da erhob er seine Hand gegen sie, um sie niederzuschlagen in der Wüste, (4Mo 14,28; Hes 20,15; 1Kor 10,5; Hebr 3,18) 

27 um ihre Nachkommenschaft zu Fall zu bringen unter den Nationen, um sie zu zersprengen in die Länder. (3Mo 26,33; Hes 20,23) 

28 Und sie hängten sich an Baal-Peor und aßen Schlachtopfer der Toten. (4Mo 25,1; Hos 9,10; 1Kor 8,4) 

29 So erbitterten sie ⟨ihn⟩ durch ihre Taten, eine Plage brach unter ihnen aus. (4Mo 25,3; 1Kor 10,8) 

30 Da stand Pinhas auf und übte Gericht, und der Plage wurde gewehrt. (4Mo 25,7) 

31 Das wurde ihm zur Gerechtigkeit gerechnet, von Generation zu Generation bis in Ewigkeit. (1Mo 15,6; 4Mo 25,10) 

32 Und sie erzürnten ⟨ihn⟩ am Wasser von Meriba, und es erging Mose übel ihretwegen. (4Mo 20,13; 5Mo 4,21) 

33 Denn sie reizten seinen Geist, sodass er unbedacht redete mit seinen Lippen. (4Mo 20,10) 

34 Sie vertilgten die Völker nicht, die der HERR ihnen genannt hatte. (5Mo 7,2; Ri 1,21) 

35 Sie vermischten sich mit den Nationen und lernten ihre Werke. (Ri 3,5) 

36 Sie dienten ihren Götzen, die wurden ihnen zum Fallstrick. // (2Mo 23,33; Ri 3,7) 

37 Und sie opferten ihre Söhne und ihre Töchter den Dämonen, (3Mo 17,7; 5Mo 32,17; 1Kor 10,20) 

38 vergossen unschuldiges Blut, das Blut ihrer Söhne und Töchter, die sie den Götzen Kanaans opferten. So wurde das Land durch die Blutschuld entweiht. (3Mo 18,21; 4Mo 35,33; 2Kön 17,17; Jer 19,4; Hes 16,20) 

39 Sie verunreinigten sich durch ihre Werke und hurten durch ihre Taten. (2Mo 34,16; Jer 3,6; Hes 20,30; Mt 15,20) 

40 Da entbrannte der Zorn des HERRN gegen sein Volk, und er verabscheute sein Erbteil. (5Mo 9,29; Ri 2,14) 

41 Er gab sie in die Hand der Nationen, und die sie hassten, herrschten über sie. 

42 Ihre Feinde bedrängten sie, und sie wurden gebeugt unter ihrer Hand. (Ri 2,14) 

43 Oft rettete er sie. Sie aber waren widerspenstig in ihren Plänen, und sie verkamen wegen ihrer Ungerechtigkeit. (Ri 2,16; Ri 6,6; Ps 107,11) 

44 Doch er sah an ihr Elend, als er ihr Schreien hörte. (Ri 6,7; Ps 107,6) 

45 Und er gedachte um ihretwillen seines Bundes, und es reute ihn in der Fülle seiner Gnade. (3Mo 26,45; Ri 2,18; Ps 105,8; Ps 136,23; Kla 3,32) 

46 Er ließ sie Erbarmen finden bei allen, die sie gefangen weggeführt hatten. (1Kön 8,50; Esr 9,9; Jer 42,12) 

47 Rette uns, HERR, unser Gott, und sammle uns aus den Nationen, dass wir deinen heiligen Namen preisen, dass wir uns rühmen deines Lobes! (5Mo 30,3; 1Chr 16,35) 

48 Gepriesen sei der HERR, der Gott Israels, von Ewigkeit zu Ewigkeit! Und alles Volk sage: Amen! Halleluja! (1Chr 16,36; Ps 41,14)

King James Version

1 Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever. 

2 Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can shew forth all his praise? 

3 Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times. 

4 Remember me, O LORD, with the favour that thou bearest unto thy people: O visit me with thy salvation; 

5 That I may see the good of thy chosen, that I may rejoice in the gladness of thy nation, that I may glory with thine inheritance. 

6 We have sinned with our fathers, we have committed iniquity, we have done wickedly. 

7 Our fathers understood not thy wonders in Egypt; they remembered not the multitude of thy mercies; but provoked him at the sea, even at the Red sea. 

8 Nevertheless he saved them for his name' sake, that he might make his mighty power to be known. 

9 He rebuked the Red sea also, and it was dried up: so he led them through the depths, as through the wilderness. 

10 And he saved them from the hand of him that hated them , and redeemed them from the hand of the enemy. 

11 And the waters covered their enemies: there was not one of them left. 

12 Then believed they his words; they sang his praise. 

13 They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel: 

14 But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert. 

15 And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul. 

16 They envied Moses also in the camp, and Aaron the saint of the LORD. 

17 The earth opened and swallowed up Dathan, and covered the company of Abiram. 

18 And a fire was kindled in their company; the flame burned up the wicked. 

19 They made a calf in Horeb, and worshipped the molten image. 

20 Thus they changed their glory into the similitude of an ox that eateth grass. 

21 They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt; 

22 Wondrous works in the land of Ham, and terrible things by the Red sea. 

23 Therefore he said that he would destroy them, had not Moses his chosen stood before him in the breach, to turn away his wrath, lest he should destroy them . 

24 Yea, they despised the pleasant land, they believed not his word: 

25 But murmured in their tents, and hearkened not unto the voice of the LORD. 

26 Therefore he lifted up his hand against them, to overthrow them in the wilderness: 

27 To overthrow their seed also among the nations, and to scatter them in the lands. 

28 They joined themselves also unto Baalpeor, and ate the sacrifices of the dead. 

29 Thus they provoked him to anger with their inventions: and the plague brake in upon them. 

30 Then stood up Phinehas, and executed judgment: and so the plague was stayed. 

31 And that was counted unto him for righteousness unto all generations for evermore. 

32 They angered him also at the waters of strife, so that it went ill with Moses for their sakes: 

33 Because they provoked his spirit, so that he spake unadvisedly with his lips. 

34 They did not destroy the nations, concerning whom the LORD commanded them: 

35 But were mingled among the heathen, and learned their works. 

36 And they served their idols: which were a snare unto them. 

37 Yea, they sacrificed their sons and their daughters unto devils, 

38 And shed innocent blood, even the blood of their sons and of their daughters, whom they sacrificed unto the idols of Canaan: and the land was polluted with blood. 

39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions. 

40 Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance. 

41 And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them. 

42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand. 

43 Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity. 

44 Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry: 

45 And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies. 

46 He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives. 

47 Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise. 

48 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD.

Si nous sommes infidèles, Dieu demeure fidèle

1 Louez tous l’Eternel! Célébrez l’Eternel ╵car il est bon, car son amour ╵dure à toujours. (1Chr 16,34; 2Chr 5,13; 2Chr 7,3; Esr 3,11; Ps 100,5; Ps 107,1; Ps 118,1; Ps 118,29; Ps 136,1; Jer 33,11) 

2 Qui saura dire ╵tous les exploits ╵de l’Eternel? Qui saura publier ╵toutes les louanges dont il est digne? 

3 Heureux tous ceux qui respectent le droit et qui font en tout temps ce qui est juste. 

4 Pense à moi, Eternel, ╵lorsque tu manifestes ╵ta faveur à ton peuple! Viens à mon aide ╵pour me sauver! 

5 Fais-moi voir le bonheur de tes élus! Viens me réjouir de la joie de ton peuple pour que je puisse me féliciter, ╵de concert avec ceux qui t’appartiennent! 

6 Comme nos pères, nous avons péché, nous avons commis le mal, ╵nous avons été coupables. 

7 Car en Egypte, ╵nos pères n’ont pas considéré tes prodiges, ils n’ont pas tenu compte ╵de tes nombreuses actions bienveillantes; ils se sont révoltés près de la mer, ╵de la mer des Roseaux. (2Mo 14,10) 

8 Dieu les sauva pour l’honneur de son nom afin de manifester sa puissance. 

9 Il apostropha la mer des Roseaux ╵qui s’assécha; il les conduisit à travers les flots, ╵comme à travers un désert. 

10 Il les délivra de ceux qui les haïssaient, et les sauva du pouvoir ennemi. 

11 Les flots engloutirent leurs oppresseurs et pas un seul d’entre eux n’en réchappa. (2Mo 14,21) 

12 Alors son peuple a cru en ses paroles et il s’est mis à chanter ses louanges. (2Mo 14,31; 2Mo 15,1) 

13 Mais, bien vite ils ont oublié ses actes, ils n’ont pas attendu ╵de voir quels étaient ses projets. 

14 Dans le désert, ╵ils ont été remplis de convoitise, ils ont voulu forcer la main à Dieu ╵dans les terres arides. (4Mo 11,4) 

15 Il leur a donné ce qu’ils demandaient, mais il les a aussi fait dépérir. 

16 Dans le camp, ils ont jalousé Moïse et Aaron, ╵qui était consacré à l’Eternel. (4Mo 16,1) 

17 Alors la terre s’est ouverte ╵et elle a englouti Datan, elle a recouvert les gens d’Abiram. 

18 Le feu a consumé leur bande, la flamme a embrasé tous ces méchants. 

19 A Horeb, ils ont façonné un veau et se sont prosternés ╵devant une idole en métal fondu. (2Mo 32,1) 

20 Ils ont troqué Dieu, leur sujet de gloire, contre la représentation d’un bœuf broutant de l’herbe! 

21 Et ils ont oublié Dieu, leur Sauveur, et ses exploits accomplis en Egypte, 

22 ses grands miracles au pays de Cham, ses actes redoutables sur la mer des Roseaux. (Ps 78,51) 

23 Aussi Dieu parla-t-il de les détruire. Mais celui qu’il avait choisi, Moïse, se tint devant lui pour intercéder et détourner son courroux destructeur. 

24 Ils ont méprisé un pays de rêve parce qu’ils n’ont pas cru à sa parole. (4Mo 14,1) 

25 Ils ont protesté au fond de leurs tentes, ils ont désobéi à l’Eternel. 

26 Alors il agita la main contre eux pour les faire périr dans le désert, 

27 pour disperser leurs descendants ╵parmi les autres peuples, et les disséminer ╵en tous pays. (3Mo 26,33) 

28 Ils se sont attachés ╵au Baal de Peor, et ils ont mangé des victimes ╵qu’on avait sacrifiées à des dieux morts. (3Mo 26,30; 4Mo 25,1; Ps 115,4; Ps 135,15) 

29 Ils ont irrité Dieu ╵par leurs agissements et un fléau éclata parmi eux. 

30 Phinéas intervint en justicier, et le fléau s’arrêta aussitôt. 

31 Cela lui fut compté comme acte juste pour tous les âges, pour l’éternité. 

32 Ils ont irrité Dieu à Meriba et ils ont causé du tort à Moïse. 

33 Ils l’ont si vivement exaspéré qu’il s’est mis à parler sans réfléchir. (2Mo 17,1; 4Mo 20,1) 

34 Ils n’ont pas exterminé les peuplades que l’Eternel leur avait désignées. (5Mo 7,1; 5Mo 20,17) 

35 Ils se sont mêlés aux populations païennes et ont imité leurs agissements. (Ri 2,1; Ri 3,5) 

36 Ils ont adoré leurs divinités, qui sont devenues un piège pour eux. 

37 Ils ont même offert leurs fils et leurs filles en sacrifice à des démons, (3Mo 18,21; 5Mo 12,31; 2Kön 17,17; Jer 7,31; Jer 19,5) 

38 ils ont répandu le sang innocent, le sang de leurs fils, le sang de leurs filles qu’ils ont sacrifiés ╵aux idoles de Canaan. Et le pays fut souillé par ces meurtres. (4Mo 35,33) 

39 Par leurs pratiques, ils se sont rendus impurs, ils se sont prostitués par leurs actes. (Jer 3,6; Hes 23,3; Hes 23,5; Hos 1,2; Hos 2,4; Hos 4,12; Hos 5,3; Hos 6,10) 

40 L’Eternel se mit en colère ╵contre son peuple et il prit en aversion tous les siens. 

41 Il les livra à la merci ╵de peuples étrangers, ceux qui les haïssaient ╵dominèrent sur eux. 

42 Leurs ennemis les opprimèrent et les humilièrent. 

43 Bien souvent, l’Eternel les délivra, mais ils ne pensaient qu’à se révolter, et ils s’obstinaient dans leur faute. 

44 Pourtant, il considéra leur détresse quand il entendit leurs cris suppliants. 

45 Il prit en compte en leur faveur ╵son alliance, et il renonça à les affliger ╵car son amour pour eux était très grand. 

46 Il éveilla pour eux la compassion de tous ceux qui les retenaient captifs. (1Kön 8,50; Esr 9,9; Jer 42,12) 

47 Délivre-nous, Eternel, notre Dieu! Rassemble-nous du sein des autres peuples! Nous te célébrerons, toi qui es saint, et mettrons notre gloire à te louer. 

48 Béni soit l’Eternel, Dieu d’Israël, d’éternité jusqu’en éternité et que le peuple entier réponde: « Amen! » Louez l’Eternel! (1Chr 16,36)
