1 Der HERR ist König! Es zittern die Völker. Er thront auf den Cherubim. Es wankt die Erde. (2Mo 25,22; 2Sam 6,2; Ps 80,2; Ps 82,5; Ps 93,1; Ps 96,9)

2 Groß ist der HERR in Zion, und hoch ist er über alle Völker. (Ps 47,3; Jes 12,6) 3 Preisen sollen sie deinen Namen, den großen und furchtbaren – heilig ist er! – (Neh 9,5; Ps 103,1; Ps 111,9; Offb 15,4)

4 und die Stärke des Königs, der das Recht liebt! Du hast die Rechtsordnung begründet und hast Recht und Gerechtigkeit in Jakob geschaffen. (Hi 37,23; Jer 23,5) 5 Erhebt den HERRN, unseren Gott, und fallt nieder vor dem Schemel seiner Füße! Heilig ist er. (Ps 132,7; Mt 5,35) 6 Mose und Aaron unter seinen Priestern, und Samuel unter denen, die seinen Namen anriefen, sie riefen zu dem HERRN, und er antwortete ihnen. (4Mo 16,22; 1Sam 7,9) 7 In der Wolkensäule redete er zu ihnen. Sie bewahrten seine Zeugnisse und die Ordnung, die er ihnen gegeben hatte. (2Mo 33,9) 8 HERR, unser Gott, du hast ihnen geantwortet! Ein vergebender Gott warst du ihnen, ⟨doch auch⟩ ein Rächer ihrer Taten. (4Mo 20,12; Ps 78,38) 9 Erhebt den HERRN, unseren Gott, und fallt nieder an seinem heiligen Berg!
