Die Geburt Jesu
18Mit dem Ursprung[7] Jesu Christi verhielt es sich aber so: Als nämlich Maria, seine Mutter, dem Josef verlobt war, wurde sie, ehe sie zusammengekommen waren, schwanger befunden von dem Heiligen Geist. (Lk 1,27; Lk 2,1)19Josef aber, ihr Mann, der gerecht war und sie nicht öffentlich bloßstellen[8] wollte, gedachte sie heimlich zu entlassen. (4Mo 5,30; 5Mo 24,1)20Während er dies aber überlegte, siehe, da erschien ihm ein Engel des Herrn im Traum und sprach: Josef, Sohn Davids, fürchte dich nicht, Maria, deine Frau, zu dir zu nehmen! Denn das in ihr Gezeugte ist von dem Heiligen Geist. (Mt 2,13; Lk 1,11)21Und sie wird einen Sohn gebären, und du sollst seinen Namen Jesus nennen, denn er wird sein Volk retten von seinen[9] Sünden. (Ps 130,8; Lk 1,31; Lk 2,21; Joh 1,29; Apg 4,12; Tit 2,14)22Dies alles geschah aber, damit erfüllt wurde, was von dem Herrn geredet ist durch den Propheten, der spricht:23»Siehe, die Jungfrau wird schwanger sein und einen Sohn gebären, und sie werden seinen Namen Emmanuel[10] nennen«, was übersetzt ist: Gott mit uns. (Jes 7,14; Jes 8,10)24Josef aber, vom Schlaf erwacht, tat, wie ihm der Engel des Herrn befohlen hatte, und nahm seine Frau zu sich;25und er erkannte sie nicht, bis sie einen Sohn[11] geboren hatte; und er nannte seinen Namen Jesus. The Birth of Jesus Christ
18Now the birth of Jesus Christ[5] took place in this way. When his mother Mary had been betrothed[6] to Joseph, before they came together she was found to be with child from the Holy Spirit. (Mt 1,1; Mt 1,16; Mk 1,1; Lk 1,27; Lk 1,35; Joh 1,17; Joh 17,3)19And her husband Joseph, being a just man and unwilling to put her to shame, resolved to divorce her quietly. (5Mo 24,1)20But as he considered these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, “Joseph, son of David, do not fear to take Mary as your wife, for that which is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. (Mt 2,12; Mt 2,13; Mt 2,19; Mt 2,22)21She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.” (Mt 1,25; Lk 1,31; Lk 2,11; Lk 2,21; Apg 3,26; Apg 4,12; Apg 5,31; Apg 13,23; Apg 13,38)22All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had spoken by the prophet: (Mt 2,15; Mt 2,23; Mt 4,14; Mt 21,4; Mt 26,56; Mk 14,49; Joh 19,36)23“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel” (which means, God with us). (Jes 7,14; Jes 8,8; Jes 8,10; Mt 28,20)24When Joseph woke from sleep, he did as the angel of the Lord commanded him: he took his wife,25but knew her not until she had given birth to a son. And he called his name Jesus. (Mt 1,21)
